Having never stayed at the Stone House Inn before, my wife and I were both surprised and delighted with our visit. We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the hospitality of Fran and Jan. The only thing we might do differently next time is to SHARE one breakfast. The food was delicious and the portions HUGE. When in the area again, we would definitely stay there again!

Fran made a delightful, early morning breakfast for us in the backyard garden area. Everything was made to our liking and every effort was made to please us. I would highly recommend staying here.

What a wonderful little surprise! We stayed in the Primitives Room, and it was extremely clean and cute! The bed was a little small, but the shower made up for it! It has a couple showerheads, which I really loved! :) And it has a dispenser for shampoo, conditioner and shower gel! I have never seen that in any hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have been in several! :) I loved that they supply a few samples from the in-house spa, as well. I took home the scrub! It was so nice. :) I have to say it is a very beautiful house, but there is no formal check-in, as there was no one there when we arrived. We saw an envelope taped to the front door for another couple, but not for us, so we had no idea what to do. Thank goodness a couple walked in to let us know that there was no formal check-in and the key would be in the door of our room. We walked through the house and found our room. I did love that there were breakfast menus on the bed. We got to choose our breakfast and a time we wanted to eat, and it would be there when we came down in the morning. It would have been great if breakfast went past 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday, but we chose 8:30 a.m. to be able to get down there as late as possible. Who the heck wants to get up that early on Sunday morning? LOL. Our breakfast, however, was worth the early rise. :) We got the ham and cheese omelets and potatoes, which were soooo good. :) After we found our room, we napped and then headed to the pub down the street for a bit, which was quite convenient. When we were leaving the house, we found our welcome letter taped to the door, explaining where our room was and other procedures. :) There was never any contact with the owners, but they are readily available. We had to call them concerning the combination of the lock on the front door for later that evening, and we had no issues. All in all, it was a perfect getaway--I would recommend it if you need a little break from the noise. :)

The House is a step back in history, but the amenities are 21st Century. Hosts are helpful but not obtrusive. Breakfast in the outside patio area is excellent. Delicious meal prepared to order. You can also eat inside if you prefer. There was a nesting dove in a covered alcove on the porch - that's how peaceful the site is. Community Park behind house affords nice walking area with stream, lots of shade and picnic pavilions. Community garden nearby was bursting with seasonal flowers. Our room was charming with a roomy bathroom and shower with quarry tile.

We stayed in the Gents Suite for the first time. Although a bit smaller than what we would have liked (the Primitives Suite wasn't available), it was certainly adequate for us. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, as usual. The staff very friendly and accommodating, as always. Highly recommend this B&B.

My in-laws stayed at Stone House for my father in law's 70th birthday. They were charmed by the B&B and enjoyed their breakfast. Thank you.
The Gent's Room at our Macungie, Pennsylvania bed and breakfast has its own cozy charisma and a private entrance located on the farmhouse porch in the courtyard. This room is located in the most historic section of the building and is small (about 8' by 15') in size, but very crisp and lively with a masculine appeal. The room is most comfortable for one person, but two are certainly welcome! Custom window treatments, feather pillows, and fine bed linens on an upholstered full size bed infuse the room with warmth and kick-back comfort, perfect for relaxing during your Allentown vacation.
