Surrounded by meadows and gardens, Swiss Woods is a quiet retreat on 30 acres in Lancaster's Amish country. All rooms feature patios or balconies, some overlooking Speedwell Forge Lake, and are decorated with the natural wood furnishings typical of Switzerland. Fabulous breakfasts, complemented by our own blend of coffee and a wide assortment of specialty teas, are served in our sunlit common room. Enjoy the views of extraordinary gardens, landscaped with a wide variety of annuals and perennials. Take a hike, watch the birds and relax! ...Where the cookie jar is always full! German spoken.

Take PA Turnpike to Exit 21; take Rte. 222 south to Rte. 322 West (Ephrata). Go west on 322 until it intersects with Rte. 501 in Brickerville. Turn left and go south on Rte. 501 to the first crossroads, Brubaker Valley Road. Turn right and go one mile to the lake. Before the lake turn right onto Blantz Road. We are the first property on the left.

Werner's special talent is evidenced in the profusion of flowers surrounding the inn. Annuals, unusual perennials, flowering shrubs and bushes abound. Woodland wildflowers, like the elusive Jack-in-the Pulpit, peek out along the edges of paths. Bee Balm attracts the hummingbirds and Buddleia the butterflies. Debbie's talents are more evident in the wonderful breakfasts and lovely rooms in Swiss Woods. - The innkeepers speak: Swiss German, English, German
