Our turn-of-the-Century home recalls the rural life a century ago. A wrap around porch and quiet gazebo provide places to relax, read or watch the Amish buggies ride by. Each room has a 20" cabled TV for your enjoyment. Our small orchard provides fruit for the breakfast table. We attempt to maintain a healthy, chemical-free environment for all our guests including those who have allergy and asthma conditions, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity or Environmental Illness.
One advantage of Lancaster County is its four seasons. Each season is unique and has its own set of holidays and celebrations. This second floor guest room has a queen bed that will make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Enjoy the beauty of our small orchard and garden fountain from your room. Adding to the interest of this room is a full private bath that is accessed through huge chestnut doors which formerly enclosed an indoor 'water closet'.
A quilt is a work of art and a labor of love. In this warm second floor guest room, you will find beautiful examples of quilts from the Amish and Mennonite communities as well as from Thailand. This guest room features a queen bed with a private powder room. The Quilt room has a full private bath located outside the room for the exclusive use of guests in this room. After a busy day visiting the areas many attractions, you can relax and enjoy the view from the private balcony overlooking the Gazebo.
In memory of our Peace Corps experience, we gave this room the ancient name for Thailand. This spacious second floor guest room has a comfy king bed and a full private shower bath. An all-season fireplace gives a romantic accent to the room. The mosquito net canopy along with memorabilia and items we collected from our time in Southeast Asia accent this interesting and cozy guest room.
This European size guest room overlooks our small orchard and a garden fountain surrounded by flowers of the season. Enjoy the beauty of the Wisteria bush cascading over the Pergola. The bright and airy room features a queen bed, a private bathroom with shower stall, cabled TV and a comfy reading area.

What a wonderful B&B. I just loved the porch swing. Although we only stayed one night we were treated wonderfully. Tom and Sarah are great! The breakfast was outstanding. Would recommend B&B to friends and family. Diana and Ed Morton

My wife and I stayed at Walnut Lawn for a weekend in Lancaster. The B&B is nicely located in the country but is conveniently close (about 20 minutes) to Downtown Lancaster. The room was nice and the breakfasts were delicious; the hosts encouraged a family-style breakfast and we enjoyed pleasant conversation both mornings, staying at the dining table well after the meal was finished. We had a lovely experience!

Very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!! Innkeepers Tom and Sarah made us feel welcome in their home. The rooms are spotless and well kept. The breakfast served every morning was just outstanding!! Just make sure you save room for dessert. Perfect location, quiet but not far from any of the locations that you may want to visit. Again thank you Tom and Sarah for a most enjoyable stay. We were unfashionably late, but Tom greeted us warmly and showed us around. Sarah prepared a delicious breakfast for us the next morning that left us full until dinnertime. We enjoyed our time visiting with Tom and Sarah. They are interesting, funny, and warm people who truly enjoy their guests. It felt more like a home than a business. The room was very clean and orderly, as well as decorated simply, but beautifully with treasures from their travels in the Peace Corps. Our room faced the road, which had quite a bit of traffic. We had to close the window to turn on the A/C and could still hear the traffic, but it didn't affect our sleep. We're not light sleepers though. The house and the grounds are impecably kept, and the wide front porch and swing are very inviting! Wish we had more time to enjoy this beautiful home! Scott and Julie
