Romantic and historic farm house bed and breakfast in the Lancaster County, PA Amish area.
Hazelnut Room: This spacious bedroom is accessible for everyone and the private bathroom is tiled and marbled with a whirlpool tub and shower combination. A large gas fireplace makes it very romantic and the room has it's own private outside entrance besides the inside entrance.
Besides having the most comfortable bedding available, we wouldn't be a Bed & Breakfast if breakfast didn't live up to its reputation. Shown is a 'regular' on the menu: Dutch Style Pannekoeken. Rolled crepes filled and served with fresh fruit, juices, coffee or tea and appetizers like home made banana bread and fresh cut grapefruit sections.
The Bar is the most contrasting common space in the house since it is decorated in old European 'Brown Cafe' style. This area is used by guest to make fresh coffee or tea anytime and has a sink, refridgerator, icemaker, icebuckets and glassware availble. Of course it is a great place to socialize while sitting at the Walnut bar top and letting the large fireplace warm your back.
All rooms have a private marble & tile bathroom attache right to their room. Some with Jacuzzi whirlpool baths, others with Jacuzzi Airbaths (like shown) or with clean glass showers. All have blowdryers, soft towels and antique looking fixtures, yet modern in functionality. Instant hot water and super pressure puts our B&B in a class of it's own.
You do not just have to live in your guest room. Our very spacious and comfortable living room with old wood burning fireplace is available to all guest for reading, chatting or planning the days out into Amish Country. Different seating arrangements give you your own space for whatever mood you are in or to play a game of cards at the gametable.

On the premises is our cottage for the ultimate in getaway. It is the ORIGINAL springhouse built by the settelers in the mid 1700's atop a still active 300 gallon a minute spring. The faint bubbling of water can be heard during the very quiet times at night.
Our location is all about the Amish. They are our friends and neighbors all around us. Fields are still plowed with horses and harvested by hand. At the right time of the year even our 6 acre field can be seen worked by our neighbor for us!

This is a wonderful B&B. The breakfast was excellent and picture perfect. We were more than satisfied. We would return to this B&B. The host and hostess were very friendly and they made you feel so welcomed. The B&B is near all shops and yet out in the countryside. It was very quiet and peaceful. Diana and Douglas

We stayed at Silverstone this past weekend for a mini-getaway and I cannot say enough positive things about it. The house is spotless and has great style, the owners passion for their property comes thru in everything from the furnishings to their kindness they display throughout the visit. The breakfast each morning was superb and of all the B&B's we have stayed at over the years, this would be on my top 3 list! We stayed in the cottage which is a detached "house" just a walkway from the main house. Super cute, clean and has an outdoor hot tub to enjoy the beauty of the area. Loved it!!! The owners have also done an amazing job with the clean, green energy with solar panels powering and heating the facility. This might be a slightly more expensive B&B, but you will quickly appreciate the value you once you arrive.

We came to Lancaster for my 40th birthday and had a wonderful weekend. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were private and modern. The food was delicious. The Inn is very convenient to local attractions such as Dutch Wonderland, Indian Echo Caverns, even the Pennsylvania Rennaisance Faire (if you like that sort of thing)! All the Amish attractions are closed on Sundays so make sure to get your Amish activities done on Saturday. It is a lovely inn. We had a great weekend.

The Silverstone Inn was recommended to us by relative for who have stayed there many times. We loved it! It is the perfect place, near everything but on a quiet side road away from the busy highway. The home was beautifully restored both inside and out. We would definitely stay here again and have told our friends about this B&B. Lorin and Toni are the perfect host and hostess.

This is a large, bright and beautiful front corner room on ground level, with a soft-top queen size bed with high quality linens and six (4 feather & 2 foam) pillows. It has an indoor entrance and a private outside entrance, a gas fired corner fireplace, with the original mantel estimated to be 180 years old. Being on the first floor, this room is accessible for those unable to go steps. The three large windows with deep sills give views of the front gardens, our newly built barn, the old sugar maple grove and our uniquely shaped parking lot and side yard. The spacious private tiled bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath/shower combination and marble tiled floor is accessible directly from your bedroom. The room is further outfitted with two comfortable wingback chairs, marble top table, TV with cable, DVD, telephone, hardwood floors, individual AC/Heat, wireless internet access and ADA accessibility.

This, our best, large suite is on the second floor and has a large private balcony with padded seating and table overlooking the back gardens, walnut grove and flagstone courtyard with our outside built-in barbeque. The balcony is off the bedroom with a spacious king size bed with six feather pillows. A large mirror covers the complete wall at the foot end of the bed. The tiled bathroom off the bedroom contains a 2-person shower with dual showerheads and controls and has marble floors and built in blow dryer. From the bedroom you can see the gas-fired fireplace, with the original restored mantel. In front of the fireplace is the lover’s alcove with a comfortable and cozy reclining chair-and-a-half for two.. This front corner second floor suite is slightly smaller than the Copper Beech Suite but makes up for that with it's beautiful antiques and Magnolia art. It opens into a nice marbled sitting area with two wonderful chairs and marble topped stand. Here you will also find an old oak writing desk and a black two person Jacuzzi air bath. The marble tiles flow into the bathroom (fully tiled) which has a glass front shower and large mirror on the door and wall mounted blow-dryer so you do not have to carry yours! The sitting room connects to the bedroom with its fabulous mixed woods queen size bed and gas corner fireplace with its original mantel still intact. This extremely popular, cozy feeling but still very nice sized room, on the second floor, has a queen size bed with cherry carved headboard and a delightful easy to use corner gas fireplace surrounded by the original old mantel. The deep window overlooks our newly built barn, side yard, and uniquely shaped parking lot with our huge white pine tree in the center. Besides the built-in closet there is a matching cherry dresser with large purple marble top and a table and chairs. The intriguing angled bathroom is gorgeous, clean and spacious with a glass door shower and of course fully tiled. To finish the bathroom we added soft, large, quality towels, a wall mount blow-dryer and finished the floor with a beautiful grey veined marble. This one room cottage, built from fieldstone with a slate roof, was build more than 200 years ago on the top of the spring originating on our property. You can hear the faint running of hundreds of gallons of water just below your bedroom floor. The room is heated by the gas fireplace, yet has A/C during the summer. There is a shower in the bathroom and the sink is located in the bedroom - European style. A refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are available in the room. A comfortable leather sofa and large screen TV finish this room. There is a front deck area to sit and enjoy the fabulous view and quietness. During the summer months the sheep come right up to your deck. No other guest are in this cottage so privacy is guaranteed and your are about 150 feet from the main building where breakfast (included) is served and all of the amenities there are still yours to enjoy.

This was our second stay at Silverstone Inn and it was as wonderful as the first time. Our room (Copper Beech Suite) was lovely and the whole Inn was spotless. Our hosts were very friendly and were ready with suggestions on places to see. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty to eat. We can't wait for the next visit!

Me and my Wife stayed at the inn for a long getaway weekend.. the hosts were just great very friendly and the room we had(the hazelnut room) was just the best. the breakfast they served everyday was too die for.. each day was a better breakfast than the day before. dont let the location fool you even though its not far off the main road it was very private and quiet. and my wife just loved the sheep at the inn.. we are already looking forward to returning sometime this year maybe the fall..IT WAS WELL WORTH THE COST AND THE DRIVE.. and again the hosts were just great
