Each room is spacious and individually decorated for comfort and convenience. Most are 18th-century American Country style, plus some newer English-Country style, each appointed with fine fabrics and rich colors. All rooms include a work area and queen or king beds, and some have firm, double-sized wall beds. Many rooms offer gas-lit fireplaces and double-sized jetted tubs. Designer fabric treatments on windows, bedding and crown canopies help create a warm, elegant ambiance.

My boyfriend and I go here frequently. You can always find a deal, and if you sign up for the newsletter, you will get coupons. Rooms are spotless. When we checked in, our deal included a bottle of wine from the Chadsworth, $7.00 coupon for each for breakfast or lunch. We went to the Buttonwood and had breakfast, didn't need lunch after that. It also included buy 1 get 1 dinner free. The first night we ate in Harts Tavern, the second one the Cock N Bull. I was hoping for french onion soup and they didn't have it on the menu, but the waiter went into Harts to get it for me. Staff is always willing to help.

So many little extras, like snacks in a basket & a hair dryer were so appreciated. Spotless clean & comfy room, quiet with a view of main courtyard.

My husband and I stayed at the Golden Plough Inn recently and were delighted with everything about the Inn from start to finish. The value was outstanding taking advantage of a Summer Special. Dinner at Earl's was just wonderful. The front desk service was outstanding - courteous and accomodating. I have seldom been in a nicer room with TV, fireplace, furnishings and size. We will definitely return for a longer stay.

The room was charming, clean and well appointed. The food was delicious and skillfully prepared. Service was courteous and prompt. All in all. it was a perfect mini vacation.

I take my husband away for his birthday every year and we seem to lean toward the Golden Plough Inn. We always have a great time, dinner is oustanding and the people who work there are very accomidating. We feel good after we come home and are very relaxed. We are looking forward to next year already!
