My stay was enjoyable throughout. The home is beautiful with comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms and wonderful atmosphere. Private bathrooms with all supplies. The host/owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding! When I return to the Brandywine River area, this is where I will stay.

What bliss to rise from a comfortable bed and be greeted with a five star breakfast. Food was delicious and the presentation elegant. Based on the host's skill and knowledge of flavors, we took her advice and had a marvellous dinner just up the street.

The Kennet House was a terrific bed and breakfast. Walking distance to town, outstanding breakfasts and Gilja couldn't be a nicer host. If we come back in the Spring, we will be sure to book again.

Reserved the Brandywine Room for New Year's Eve into New Years Day. Everything, from the service to the room itself, was great! The bed was especially comfortable and the heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to others!

We recently stayed at this Inn. The house is attractive and the owner is thoughtful. She makes a nice breakfast and that morning experience was quite pleasant. There was plenty of hot water. The negative was the mattress in our room was a bit soft for my taste as I prefer a firmer one. The other negative was that there was a funky smell in my room like heavy dust or mildew. I woke with puffy eyes. We had to keep the windows open after that. Note that sometimes you can smell the mushroom operations in Kennett Square. That is not what was bugging my eyes. I'm a stickler from clean places and this one seemed clean. I didn't find hairs in the shower or anything like that.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Kennett House. Beds, linens, amenities were luxurious. Gilja is very hospitable. The only negative was the sausage accompanying French toast when we had specified "Heart Healthy" under dietary restrictions. However, the first course of artfully presented fresh fruit was outstanding. Overall, a great place; would definitely return if in the area. Recommend "The Longwood Suite".

My fiancé and I had the opportunity to stay at the Kennett House Oct 24-26, and we were very pleased with the accommodations which were very quaint and more than adequate. The real treat was Gilja, the owner of the B&B. She maintains the rooms and home with meticulous cleanliness. Moreover, she has absolutely mastered the "breakfast" piece of "B&B". The meals we had the privilege of enjoying during our stay were extremely well orchestrated. Everything from the fruit salad to the mushroom omelet and French toast was created with a very clear focus on the finer details of meal preparation and timing, making breakfast an experience we eagerly anticipated. We enjoyed our stay in the Kennett area immensely and intend to return to Kennett House B&B with our families for a holiday season visit to the Garden. Highly recommended!
