The Herr Tavern & Publick House
Originally built as a Publick House, this 1815 Federal-style building became the site of the first Confederate stand and hospital during the Civil War. Listed in the National Register, the inn's 19th-century heritage and glory has now been faithfully restored, and a new wing added. Two common rooms overlook the historic area from Peace Light to Little Round Top. Each of the romantic suites feature a fireplace, most offer double Jacuzzis. The Garden Room also boasts a round bed, microwave, refrigerator and private deck. Adjacent Annex provides five rooms with Jacuzzi's, fireplaces and private decks. Enjoy a wonderful country breakfast in the restaurant, as well as afternoon tea and snacks. Stroll the landscaped grounds with two watergarden ponds. Banquet and meeting facilities on premise.
