This past New Year's Eve was our third New Year's Eve at the Keystone Inn. We like the General Greene Suite on the top floor with in suite bath and second smaller room with a second TV. My wife gets up before I do and this lets her putter around, get the news and read without waking me. This place makes you feel comfortably at home, and what a home! The rooms are warm and comfortable. The General Greene suite has a gas fireplace and small heater in addition to the radiator heat. Even though we are on the third floor, the hot water comes up very quickly and there's plenty for a nice shower. The towels are fluffy and there's shampoo if you forgot yours. On one of the stairway landings, Mike has an "Honor System" collection of personal hygiene items, OTC pain medications, and toiletries, just in case……. I don't know where Mike and Marge store all of the Xmas decorations after Xmas, but it must be a very big place. Wow. The Xmas decor really adds to the already beautiful house. Keystone is a nice walk away from the square in Gettysburg. The house is brick built and very, very sturdy. That translates into a very quiet atmosphere. Hanover street is not a main road so traffic noise is virtually non existent. There's plenty of parking around the house, even when they're completely booked. Breakfasts are plentiful and tasty. We're not much into sweets in the morning and Mike (the main cook and bottle washer) knows that and has a nice balance of nutritious offerings. We always enjoy talking with other visitors at breakfast. He always leaves cookies or brownies under glass in the dining room for afternoon or night time snacks and there's always a large variety of tea and hot chocolate available in the dining room and a large coffee urn. He and Marge know the good places to eat. We like Sidney Willoughby Run for fine dining and Food 101 for more casual but very good food.

Located a nice walk from the town square on a street with little traffic, The Keystone Inn B&B is our favorite in Gettysburg. We just spent two days there over New Years. Our third such visit in three years. The house is made up for Xmas - Lovely. Even without holiday adornments it's a beautiful and well kept up place. We like the third floor Gen. Greene Suite - comfy pillow top king bed, extra room with day baed, TV and fridge. Bathroom is clean and updated. Breakfasts are good. Mike likes to cook. There are always goodies on a glass covered plate. Coffee and a wide assortment of teas always available.

We have stayed at the Keystone Inn many times over the past 12 1/2 years. Mike and Marj have maintained a beautiful Inn coupled with excellent service and mouth watering breakfasts. The Inn sets on the north east edge of the Gettysburg battlefield, quietly secluded from the noisy tourist district. Whether for an extended stay, or just a night, you will be pleased with your experience at the Keystone Inn B&B.

Mike and Marj are wonderful hosts. The rooms we had were very comfortable and the house was beautiful. The breakfasts were so delicious. We would definitely stay here if we are in Gettysburg again. If you come, check out their library. Besides all the wonderful Civil War books, the house scrapbook is very interesting.
