Keystone Inn

Mike and Marj are the core of what makes Keystone successful. They are hard working, hospitable, and generous. Keystone is comfortable and lovely. It is within walking distance of downtown and the battlefield, yet in a quiet location.

Rooms and other accommodations were excellent. Location is close to the center of downtown but just far enough away to avoid heavy tourist traffic.

This is the second time staying at this B&B. The innkeepers are great and very accommodating, and the rooms are well appointed, large and comfortable. The home is a beautiful Victorian just outside of the busyness of the downtown circle, but a great location for all of the Gettysburg attractions. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, while still allowing space for off-street parking for all of the guests of the inn. Breakfasts are delicious with good home cooking. We had a great selection over the duration of our stay, with muffins, coffeecake, bacon, sausage, omelets, pancakes, and French toast, along with choice of juices and coffee. Breakfast filled us up until dinner, so if you go hungry, it's your own fault. We really enjoy staying at this B&B, and will stay here again on our next trip to Gettysburg!

We stopped here on the way to Vermont. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Keystone Inn. We were happy to have dedicated parking behind the building. The room was well equipped (DVD player, refrigerator, etc.), and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The owners lent us an audio tour of the Gettysburg battlefield, which worked great and saved us a bit of cash. The breakfast was very tasty, as were the baked goods that were available in the evening. It was nice to have such an array of beverages available, also, not to mention the DVD and book library. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Keystone Inn. We just wish we had nicer weather to enjoy the porch.

We recently stayed 4 nights at The Keystone Inn. The Inn is beautiful inside & out. Mike & Marj were wonderful & informative hosts. This was our first visit to Gettysburg and we would highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

You cannot beat the location of Keystone Inn. They are located just a short walk from the center of town. Out of he hustle and bustle, but close to the heart of activity and to the battlefield. The dining area was my favorite area, with conveniences such as water and ice, delicious breakfasts, afternoon desserts, and good company from the owners. It was also nice having a mini-fridge and microwave in our room.

My husband and I decided to take an impromptu extended weekend trip to gettysburg for our anniversary, and stumbled upon this hidden gem and decided to reserve a room; and I'm so happy we did! From the moment we pulled in to the private parking lot for guests, to when we walked through the beautifully landscaped garden, to the deliciously smell of creme brûlée throughout the house, we were thrilled with our decision to stay here. Each morning we were served with a 3 course meal which consisted of a pastry, a cup of fruit, and a hearty breakfast. It left us stuffed and full until dinner! There is also either brownies or cookies left out for a snack in the afternoon, and coffee/tea/apple cider/hot chocolate available all day & night long. Hot and cold filtered water available as well. There are binders full of attractions, tours and events for the week left in the main sitting room, as well as a binder full of menus from each of the restaurants in town. In the second sitting room on the second floor, there are a ton of books, board games and movies for your use. Overall, my husband and I were very happy with our decision to stay here and will absolutely be returning in the near future

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! Mike and Marj were so personable and accommodating. They offered valuable info about local places, and just chatted about life with us at breakfast. Marj offered to make my husband a special breakfast each morning as he had just started a fairly restricted diet. He missed out on the regular menu though, as the homemade breakfast both days was wonderfully delicious, not to mention the freshly baked goodies available each afternoon. The location is not right in the heart of the "action", but it was a gorgeous weekend so we enjoyed the short walk into town. Even though this is a "newer" home (not civil war era) it had its own charm and a pictorial history of the original owners was displayed right on the walls! Our room was spacious and bright with a lovely sitting room/eating area, and a small deck space as well. All in all we have special memories of our weekend here and would definitely go back.

We have stayed 2 times at this B&B while visiting Gettysburg, PA - both times were wonderful. The location of the B&B is about 5 blocks from the busy center of town which makes this a nice quiet location for porch sitting. The rooms are very nice - comfortable with a range of sizes. The breakfast is wonderful and Marg and Mike are very friendly and welcoming - they make you feel like you are staying with friends. We enjoyed spending time in the library looking at the many books on the Civil War. The price range is reasonable and less than most of the other B&B in town. We enjoyed our stays here and plan to stay here again on our next visit to Gettysburg.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere nice to go but close to home. We went online to look for B&Bs. When we came across the Keystone Inn we knew we found our honeymoon spot! The B&B was so comfy cozy it was like being at home. The room we chose was gorgeous and well set up. We had our own bathroom which was very nice and clean. We also had our own mini fridge, high definition television and dvd player in our room. There was extra pillows and blankets in the closet ( the room had 2 nice size closets in them for our things). There were 2 nice and comfy chairs in the room great for sitting and watching television, reading or just talking to one another. The room also came with cable. We snuck a peak at the other rooms on our floor and they too were gorgeous. The Inn offered a library with many books and dvds we could read and use. It also offered a nice sitting room on the first floor. The owners made sure our stay was PERFECT. They made sure our room/bathroom was clean and that we had everything we need. The breakfast in the morning was excellent as well as the service. The owners were even helpful when it came to my husband and I visiting the historic sites of Gettysburgh. They were very very knowledgeable. My husband and I will definitely be visiting there again :)

We had a great time staying here. The breakfasts were great and kept us going well into the afternoon. If the "Cleanliness" category went above Outstanding we would say this establishment certainly deserves it!

My wife and I stay here every time we go to Gettysburg. Everything is well kept. The host are wonderful people. This past time it was our anniversary and they helped to make things perfect. They even ordered the flowers for me to surprise my wife with. I would recommend staying here. It is close enough to walk into town( just a few blocks ). But far enough to be able to relax on the expansive porch.

my husband and i booked a weekend at keystone to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. it was perfect. the room was warm and gorgeous, so inviting, the house is gorgeous, and Mike and Marj were absolutely lovely. Breakfast was outstanding, and the company and conversation (and civil war tid bits) were perfect additions! We can't wait to come back, and would absolutely recommend the Keystone in to anyone! General Early's Suite was a perfect romantic reprieve, in a lovely home! Thank you for making our special weekend, so very special!

The inn was beautifully decorated for the holidays and Marj and Mike did a great job making us feel welcome.

My husband and I recently visited Gettysburg for the first time and we chose the Keystone Inn as our home base. This beautiful home is in a quiet part of town (about 5 blocks from the square) and the owners, Mike and Marj, are very personable and friendly. Mike does the cooking and joins Marj in the dining room after the last course is served to sit and chat with guests. The breakfasts are very good; if you leave the table hungry, it's your own fault! We stayed in the Michael Bowers room, which was more than big enough for the two of us. Some might consider the bathroom a little snug, but it was functional and clean. I had two issues with the room. The first was that there was a bit of a mildewy, almost septic smell when you entered the room (the bathroom is located immediately to the right). I mentioned the odor to Mike because it seemed to bother my allergies a bit (possibly because of mildew from a leak). He was very accomodating in trying to find something (room deodorizers) to help with the odor, but in the end we just dealt with it. My husband believes it was due to a cracked seal around the toilet outlet, so it sounds a like something that can be fixed fairly easily. The other issue has to do more with personal preference. The Michael Bowers room is one of two rooms on the second floor that has access to the back balcony and stairs. Being a much older home, the door had a transom window above it. Unfortunately, this window isn't covered so if you are a person who likes a really dark room for sleeping, as I am, you might be bothered by the light that comes in from this window. Overall, we had a very nice trip and would consider staying here again.

We stayed at the Keystone Inn for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The food, amenities, and decor were all fantastic. Mike and Marj were so nice and accommodating about every aspect of our stay! We definitely hope to go back.

We recently had a two night stay at the Keystone Inn in Gettysburg along with two other couples. Our hosts, Mike and Marge, were very friendly and accommodating. The Inn was immaculate, cozy and beautifully decorated, due to the talents of our hostess. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the bed very comfortable. We have stayed in many B & B's over the years and rate this very high. We had an enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Gettysburg. The room was huge and the bed was fantastic. We were in Gettysburg to visit with our daughter at the college and the Keystone inn is quite convenient (although not quite walking distance) to the college in a quiet residential neighborhood. The owners gave us a good and filling breakfast each morning and there were always tasty cookies out in the dining room and tea and coffee available. A very nice sitting area is also available for guests. A very clean, warm, and comfortable place to stay. I highly recommend it.

The Keystone Inn was a great place to stay while visiting Gettysburg. The Inn is warm and comfortable and Mike & Marj are very welcoming. Loved the Victorian flavor and all the decorating done so lovingly by Marj. Would highly recommend the Keystone Inn.

My husband and I have stayed at numerous B&Bs over the years and we found the Keystone Inn to be one of the best. We stayed in the General Jones Room on the first floor right off the parlor. The room was large and the king size bed very comfortable. The Innkeepers, Mike and Marj, were very personable and helpful. We felt welcome as soon as we entered their home.

Definate we would stay there again. Close to town, quiet and freindly! Good advice on sites & dining out.

The innkeepers are very personable and accomodating. Only problem for me was an allergic reaction to a strong candle fragrance. It was a quick fix though and my stay was lovely.

The bed was super comfortable. My boyfriend and I stayed in the General Early Suite since it was the last room open, even though we didn't need the extra space. The room was gorgeous and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The owners were very helpful. It was really clean, smelled fantastic, and was cozy. A little pricey but altogether a great experience!

Four couples had a wonderful military reunion weekend at the Keystone Inn. Clean, beautifully appointed and very comfortable, the Keystone Inn is easy to find, plenty of parking and close to everything in Gettysburg. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

My boyfriend and I wanted a weekend getaway and previously had never stayed at a bed and breakfast. The Keystone Inn was absolutely delightful from the warm smell of pumpkins when you walk through the door to the cozy, comfortable rooms! Mike and Marj were extremely nice and very accommodating to my yeast allergy at breakfast (which was such a treat!). We would definitely recommend the Keystone Inn and will be back!

From the moment we stepped onto the porch of this charming inn, we felt right at home. Our room (Reynolds Room) was spacious, comfortable.and a quiet retreat after a day of sightseeing. We also liked the fact that it's located away from the noise of the main street, yet close enough to walk to town square. Our hosts, Mike and Marj served a delicious breakfast each morning and always made sure we had everything we needed. Even Ginger, their little dog provided us with a much needed pet fix.. Overall, our experience at the Keystone was great and we highly recommend it,

this was our 3rd stay in Gettysburg. our 2nd B&B. the Keystone Inn was absolutely wonderful. there wasnt any thing that could have made our stay better. we will return next year and will DEFINITELY stay with Mike & Marj at the Keystone Inn. they really seemed to enjoy making our visit perefect.

My husband and I were guests for one night at Keystone Inn. We stayed in the General Jones room and our only regret was that we could'nt pack it up and take it with us. All of the rooms were beautifully frunished. The evening pastries with hot chocolate and apple cider were great and breakfast was a real treat, fresh pineapple,warm blueberry coffee cake and potato casserole. Mike and Marj were wonderful hosts. And we must mention, which was important to us, it was clean, clean, clean!

B&B was incredibly neat and clean. They think of everything, the bed was comfortable and the food was great.

We stayed 2 nights with our 10 year old granddaughter while exploring Gettysburg. The home is gorgeous and the notebook on the history of the home and former owners is very interesting. It was very peaceful and quiet with accomodating hosts.

We arrived late and were welcomed with an offer to help bring in bags. The room was roomy and very comfortable. Our stay was cut short because of illness and the owner was very understanding and accommodating. The inn is charming, owners very friendly and the inn is located very close to downtown Gettysburg. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend and couldn't have been more pleased with the location. The Inn exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the General Earle Suite and truly loved it. Clean, large room, Mike & Marj were attentive without being instrusive. We would definately recommend the Keystone Inn.

A quarter mile from the center of town sits The Keystone B&B. Beautiful gardens surround the wrap around porch where I enjoyed my morning cup of coffee. Among the many things I found impressive about The Keystone, one feature really stood out to me- the ambiance. Warm, and inviting and beautifully decorated the B&B has you feeling comfortable and 'at home' right away. I traveled alone and stayed 2 nights in the General Johnson room . I chose this room because it was the most cost effective room and It had a claw foot tub. They offer discounted rates for mid-week stays and single occupancy. Both of which I gladly took advantage of. Breakfast at The Keystone ( served at either 8am or 9am) is simple, fresh and delicious. One notable feature is the library. There is a massive collection of books on Gettysburg and the Civil War fit for readers of all levels. All of the historical sites of Gettysburg are within an 8 minute drive from the B&B. If you don't have set plans of what exactly you would like to see/experience in Gettysburg, the Keystone has brochures, maps and information of all the local and historical destinations in the cozy parlor, furnished year round with an impressive Christmas tree. The cleanliness throughout the house will surely impress and put your own house to shame. I would absolutely recommend The Keystone B&B to anyone considering a trip to Gettysburg, PA. If ever I go back, I will surely be staying at The Keystone ( and hopefully in the General Johnson room)!

For my first time at a B+B, I chose to stay in the Keystone Inn. My boyfriend and I stayed in The Michael Bowers Room. We arrived late but the host was awake and showed us right to the room. The room was excellent, with the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in. I wanted to take it with me. The breakfasts were amazing and always more than enough food, and we were close enough to travel into the Battlefield within about 10-15 minutes. I will always suggest the Keystone Inn for anyone travelling to the Gettysburg Area.

The owners were very helpful and kind. It was a great location and we did not have to hassle with a large number of tourists. We will return to this B&B the next time we are in the area. Thanks Mike and Marji!

Wonderful hosts and beautiful and comfortable B and B. Everything was provided for and more. We enjoyed using the Auto Tour of the Battle sites free of charge, and cookies every afternoon. Advice, great conversation and everything we needed in the room. Who could ask for more?

We have been coming to Gettysburg yearly since 1991 and have stayed at several bed and breakfasts. After our first time at the Keystone Inn we knew this would be our only choice whenever we come back. The home is wonderful and innkeepers Mike and Marj are two of the nicest people who make you feel right at home. They make you feel like family. Mike is a great cook . The breakfasts are hearty and delicious. The treats provided in the afternoon are better than I've had from any home town bakery!! Mike, we expect you to have the side room completed when we return. Stayed for Gettysburg Anniversary battlewalks. Breakfasts were great.

This was by far the most welcoming and beautiful B&B we have stayed in. The hosts were absolutely fantastic and Mike's cooking was something not to be missed. Everything was fantastic.

For my wife and I, this was our first experience staying at a B&B and we couldn't have been happier. The location was great. It is easy walking distance to the center of town and all the attractions, yet in a very quiet neighborhood area of Gettysburg that is removed from all the noise and business. It gave us a very quiet and relaxing stay, but allowed us to get out and walk wherever we wanted to go. Another plus to the location is they have free, off-street parking, The owners, Mike and Marj, we very friendly and helpful when answering our questions on what to do or where to go with tours, dinners, etc. They were both very welcoming and didn’t mind chatting with you at breakfast or as they saw you coming and going. We stayed in the General Ewell room and it worked great for us. The room was plenty big for the two of us and all out stuff and had a super comfortable king size bed. The bathroom was a nice size too. The only thing that was the tiniest of a negative was the shower in the bathroom was a tad on the smaller size. Not really a big deal, we were still able to take a shower and clean up, what more do you really need a shower to do? The food each morning was amazing. No continental breakfast here. These were fresh, homemade, full course breakfasts. They didn’t even mind if you wanted seconds and gladly bought you more of whatever you wanted. We also like that you could choose between an 8:00 am or 9:00 am breakfast to work around your schedule for the day or sleeping in. To top it off, there were fresh made brownies and/or cookies left out in the dining room for you to snack on, along with the coffee, tea and water that was available all day. As I said this was our first time ever going to a B&B and it exceeded our expectations. We had heard not good stories from friends and family about their B&B experiences, but this could not have been further from them. We enjoyed our weekend at the Keystone Inn and would definitely head back.

My wife and I were extremely pleased with our choice of Keystone Inn for our short four-night visit to Gettysburg. The home is very charming. We found both the interior and grounds to be very neat and clean; the owners obviously spend a lot of time and take a lot of pride in their home. The owners were marvelous hosts, making sure we had what we needed and, if requested, providing information on things to do or places for supper. Our room, the Michael Bowers room, was large and comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a little snug for two people and the shower head was mounted a little too high for my 5-3 wife to reach; but it's an older home. We enjoyed our little private patio to sit in the morning and drink our tea. The breakfasts were sumptuous and delicious, though a bit too many carbohydrates (though the owners would easily and graciously make substitutes when my wife requested). Having hot water for tea and ice for our drink bottles all day long was welcome. And the owners loaned us a copy of the CD audio tour and guidebook for the Gettysburg battlefield which saved us from having to buy one. If/when we return to the area we will definitely stay at Keystone Inn again!!! Herb West

I found this B&B on the internet and knew nothing about the area. We loved the house and our room. Marg and Mike made us feel completely at home

My wife and I wanted to visit the military park for the first time and I went online to review possible rooming options. There were the usual motel chains and I started looking at the B&B options. Ran across the Keystone Inn website. Reviews were excellent, location within easy walking distance to downtown, close to military park, and the rooms looked very inviting. We took a chance. Made reservations for three nights and with a special, fourth night was free. Our experience was wonderful. Mike and Marj were excellent hosts, made us feel like family. We looked forward to Mike's breakfasts. Enjoyed the conversations with the other visitors during breakfast. Stayed in the Ewell room. I have stayed at a lot of nice hotels and rooms, but none had the personal charm and character as the Ewell and each room seemed to have there own unique flavor. The Inn was very quiet, not like the noise you hear all night long at a hotel. On the second day of the visit we "discovered" a little used entry into the park only a few blocks from the Inn (East Confederate Avenue). Avoided the traffic of having to go through downtown Gettysburg. If you are planning a visit to Gettysburg, I would highly recommend the Keystone Inn. One note, there is construction of a new bridge on Hanover Road (Route 116) between the Inn and Route 15 and there is a detour. Does not impede getting into to town or park directly from the Inn, just if you are trying to reach the Inn directly from route 15 so you will need to look for an alternative route.

It was wonderful. Marj & Mike was wonderful they helped us with anything we needed. Mike did the cooking which the foood was outstanding along with the snacks. We were so happy with everything. Except one con was the General Green Room we stayed in was 3 flights up but well worth it. The bed was so comfortable we had our 15 year old daughter with us she had her own room. We had everything we needed & the towels were so soft. And met some folks that only lived 1 1/2 from us. Beautiful inside & so clean. We loved it & if you go there is a woman that comes in to do massages on Sunday. Well worth it she was excellent.

My wife and I stayed in the General Early suite and it was the nicest room we have ever stayed in in a B&B. Breakfast was perfect each morning and it was a nice touch for Mike and Marj to come out and spend time speaking with everyone each morning.

This delightful B&B is within walking distance of the historic downtown area of Gettysburg, yet in a quiet residential neighborhood. The hosts are extremely thoughtful, welcoming, and provided us with an excellent stay. We stayed in a first floor bedroom right off the parlor, and were a little concerned that it might be noisy as the inn was full. However, our room was extremely quiet, comfortable, and I would definitely recommend it. The large wrap-around front porch was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of touring battleground history. We borrowed an auto tour CD from our hosts, which was extremely helpful and very, very good. Finally, breakfast was wonderful - french toast on day 1 and pancakes on day 2. Both morning breakfasts included fruit, juice, endless coffee, bacon, and coffeecake. Met some wonderful people as well. This is a wonderful place and we plan to return.

It's clear Mike and Marj want guests to feel like they're walking into their own homes upon arrival. There is lovely classical music playing, clear instructions in case they're otherwise occupied, and quick and easy check-in process. In each room were several resources to area attractions, including pamphlets, a binder filled with information, and even take-out menus. I feel like we were spoiled because I felt that our room, the Reaser room, was the best in the house. Of course I'm biased--the other rooms are, to be sure, lovely--but this one was so cozy, comfortable, and homey--very spacious, picture windows, and sizeable bathroom. Given the choice one evening, instead of going out, we opted to picnic on the porch. (Don't miss a twilight chat in the rocking chairs!) Every detail, from mini fridges to the movie "Gettysburg" on DVD in each room, has been thought of. They were happy to leave us to our own devices, which made for a relaxing, romantic, and most importantly, fun, weekend getaway.

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway and certainly found it here!

If you want to immerse yourself in the history of Gettysburg, go to the Keystone Inn. It was a delightful fairy tail house, cozy, the food was delicious and all for a very reasonable price.

We had a wonderful stay at the Keystone Inn over Mother's Day Weekend. Mike and Marj made us feel at home and were very knowledgeable of Gettysburg and the surrounding area. Our room was comfortable and breakfast and late night treats were delicious! The bonus was having a local massage therapist, Morgan, come to the Inn for a fantastic Mother's Day massage!

This is a great place to stay away from the busy tourist area but close to the downtown circle and restaurants. We did some great day cycles out of here into orchard country!

What an amazing place! The Keystone Inn has wonderful owners, that are very friendly, hospitable, helpful, and full of information about the area, that they are happy to share. Their Inn is very well kept, clean, lovely, and beautifully decorated. We felt very welcome there and would reccommend it to our friends, family and others looking for a place to stay in Gettysburg. My husband and I just returned from a 4 day vacation to Gettysburg and stayed at the Keystone Inn. We were pleasantly surprised as soon as we walked in. A beautiful Victorian home that was so warm and charming and extremely clean. I am a clean nut and it far and above passed my standards. A great attention to detail in the decorating. We stayed in the General Greene room and it was beautiful and extremely comfortable with all the amenities you could think of. Two recliners that we used every night after a long day touring the battlefield. Mike and Marj are so very hospitable and make you feel right at home. The breakfasts are fabulous made by Mike and served by lovely Marj. Food was made from scratch and perfection. They were both so very friendly and helpful. The dining room had a coffee tea area where you could visit any time of day or night. There was always something sweet made and left for the guests each day. The Inn was just the right distance from the hustle and bustle of the busy Gettysburg town center and a short distance from the battlefield drive. The Inn is located with a view of Culp's Hill battlefield. This was by far one of the best short vacations we have been on and this lovely Inn and its caring Innkeepers made it all the more special to us. Don't hesitate book your room and have a restful time.

Mike and Marj are great hosts, took care of whatever need we had quickly. The inn is local right near dfowntown and was a great location to tour the area from. Great rooms, good food, it made our trip a wonderful time.

My two sisters and I get away annually. We look for a relaxing, comfortable environment. We certainly found just that at the Keystone Inn. It was a most pleasant stay in the meticulously clean home of Mike and Marj Day. The decorations added to the charm of the bed and breakfast. Speaking of breakfast . . . Mike prepared a delicious, healthy, attractively presented meal, and Marj cordially served it to us. It was fun chatting with both of them as they shared their experiences as proprietors. We discussed the probability of returning to the Keystone Inn with our families!

We stayed 2 nights during the winter special and it was very nice. The price is reasonable and the breakfast was very good. A very nice inn and so close to many attractions.

This is definitely the best B&B we have ever stayed at. The house is gorgeous and spaceous. The room we stayed in was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable and we slept good. The location in a very quiet part of town just east of downtown Gettysburg. Mike and Marj are friendly knowledgeable hosts who are familiar with the area and the history. The meals both mornings were great. Mike helped carry our bags to our room, which I did not anticipate. I would also like to point out that Mike and Marj are so "down to Earth" and easy to talk to. It was like sitting around and talking with old friends. It's too bad we could not stay the third night because it was free. We highly recommend the Keystone Inn to anyone.

My fiancee and I stayed 3 nights at the Keystone Inn January 2-5 2012. as my Christmas Present to her. I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before and was really taking a risk at trying something new. We booked General Early's Suite. You can often look at pictures online and not get a good idea of what you'll really be getting. The pictures in my opinion don't do the place justice. It is nice warm and cozy, even in the middle of winter. Mike and Marj are wonderful people. They are very social and will be as helpful as needed. Since the purpose of our visit was rest and relaxation, we didn't need much from them other than seclusion which they provided. They will provide you with as little or as much as needed. In the rooms they've thought of everything, coffee and cups ready to go. Mike makes brownies or cupcakes for you to pick up on your way in and out of the place. The whirlpool tub was quite nice, and the library has an excellent selection of books and movies. In the off season this place is an excellent value, for a few dollars more than a budget hotel you can stay 3 nights, get a hot breakfast every morning, and have a whole suite, not just a room. Meals were good, although there is no choice of breakfast, its whatever Mike decides to make. Everything made for breakfast here is very very good, but if you're someone that demands choice you won't get it here unless you have dietary restrictions, which will most certainly be accommodated. If its not too busy Mike and Marj will talk to you over breakfast, which was nice; As I've said they're wonderful social people and Mike is a quasi expert on the Battle of Gettysburg. It is close to the shopping district and main roads. Whether you come here during the off season as we did, or during the tourist season I can't imagine anyone would be very disappointed by staying here. You really can't go wrong.

The Keystone Inn is magnificent! Everything about it was absolutely perfect. Excellence in every category. Marvelous turn-of-the-century design with all the modern necessities. The amount of oak trim and accents in the interior rooms is a work of art you won't see on an everyday basis. The owners are very friendly and completely accomodating to every need. Breakfast is "first class" and provided in a cozy comfortable dining room. Refereshments are available all day long, especially in the evenings when you can relax and read in a cozy "sitting room" or secluded "library" with a warm brew of your favorite teas, etc. What a treat after a day shopping and sight seeing the town of Gettsyburg. Private parking away from local traffic and walking distance to the town "square". Rates are very reasonable, offering attractive discounts as applies, and better than any other B&B in the area. Can't wait to return for another visit. What a way to bring in the new year!!!

Keystone Inn was convienently located, in a quiet area of Gettysburg, close to the town center. The innkeepers were well informed of the area, very gracious hosts, and a pleasure to talk to. They were non-intrusive but always there if needed. The large room was comfortable and well appointed. The only drawback was the size of the TV, it was small for the viewing distance.

Three months before arriving at the Keystone Inn, I booked their last room (huge Civil War Event that my husband and I are part of). The MOST reasonable rate threw me off, and I figured that the Inn would not be the level I am used to. WHAT A SURPRISE! The other guests, the food, and the PERFECT proximity to town (well within walking distance but quiet) made our stay absolutely perfect. Also, we were so happy to be delivered into such capable hands. Have not experienced the amount of returning guests, who we will meet up with next year! Not stuffy, but suitable for us, I can HIGHLY recommend the Keystone Inn.

Had a perfect night for my wedding anniversary. Mike and Marj responded to all my initial questions and had everything in the room I requested prior to arrival. Upon arrival were very kind of helpful. I would definitely recommend staying there to anyone and will return myself.

My wife and I stayed for a college alumni event and to celebrate our anniversary. We were lucky to get their last room for the weekend and for only one night. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was super! Crumb cake followed by thick sliced home-made french toast. Yummy! The house is lovely. Plenty of parking out back. It was a bit farther from the circle in town then I anticipated but it was really no trouble. Over all it was a great experience and we would certainly stay again.

Yummy breakfasts and afternoon goodies. Close to dining and museums. Very, very clean and decorated to match the Fall season. The only downfall was not being informed that some restaurants do not serve wine and you must BYOB.

Mike and Marj were extremely welcoming and the house itself was gorgeous. Our room was much more spacious than I anticipated for the price (and the bed extremely comfortable!). Located far enough from the main part of town that it was always quiet and quaint, but close enough to walk to almost anywhere in town! Loved it :)

We can highly recommend this B & B. Everything except the breakfast ~ was great. The food was tasty if a bit skimpy. However, whatever was lacking in food was surely made up for in the super rooms, comfort, coziness & cleanliness of the home.

I stayed at the Keystone Inn with my husband in June of 2009, and we were very happy with our visit. I should start off by saying that Mike, the innkeepeer, looked thrilled to find us at the front door at 10:00 pm. He took his time showing us around the inn and to our room, regardless of how late it was. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean, as was the rest of the house. There were little treats like brownies or cookies waiting for us at the end of each day, and plenty of refreshments as well. The breakfasts each morning were delicious, though a little too sweet for my taste. I think Mike went a little crazy with the powdered sugar on the french toast, but the fruit accompanying each dish was refreshing and complimentary. Although I loved the fact that the inn was away from town in a quiet neighborhood, it was not withing walking distance to town. It's walkable yes, but it's definitely not a short stroll, and I wouldn't recomend it, especially at night. Mike and Marj were full of useful information, since we have never been to Gettysburg before, and gave us great tips on where to go and what to do. They recommended that we dine at the Dobbin House, and wow, we were beyond pleased!! That restaurant was amazing! The only tip I have for future visitors is this - if you decide to borrow Mike's and Marj's CD's for the audio tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield, make sure they BOTH work before you leave the inn... We were halfway through the tour when we realized that the 2nd CD didn't work, and since we were leaving the next day, we didn't have time to go back, and had to finish the tour without our "guide". Overall, the inn was gorgeous, the innkeepers were extremely hospitable, and if I return to Gettysburg, I would definitely stay at the Keystone Inn again.

We arrived later than we had planned but were met by the parents of the Keystone Inn's owners and made to feel very welcome. Our room was lovely and very cozy, but not confining, just what a long, tiring day required. Breakfast the next morning was tasty and accommodated our vegetarian diet. The weekend weather was not as accommodating. We had homemade treats each evening (cookies or brownies) and means for making hot tea, awaiting us when we returned from a late dinner. This was a nice treat before turning in for a good nights rest. Our room was on the front of the inn and the Friday night traffic was heavier than I expected but not unbearable. Saturday and Sunday nights were very quiet, in fact, the inn was so quiet that we thought we were the only guests. For an older house, it was very well sound-proofed. The grounds are well maintained and pleasant for relaxing with a book or just for peaceful reflection of the day. We are seasoned travelers and certainly would stay here at any opportunity when we are in the area. Thank you to our host, Mike and hostess, Marj for a lovely stay.

The Keystone Inn was true delilght. We loved everything about it. It is located just outside of the busy downtown area but very close to everything. Mike and Marj are very friendly and welcoming and make you feel right at home.

Room was very large, clean, and beautifully decorated, Bed was more comfortable then my bed at home. Location was close to all the Gettysburg attractions but also quiet and relaxing. The breakfasts were delicious and a great way to start our day and the hosts were helpful and friendly and really went above and beyond their job to make sure our stay was perfect. Planning to return for another stay next year.

I would highly recommend the Keystone Inn. Our room and bath were cleaner than clean. The attention to detail throughout the house was exceptional. The host and hostess Mike and Marge were friendly, helpful, but gave you your space. The breakfast was delicious and everything was home made. We would definitely return if we ever get back to Gettysburg.

We've stayed at B&Bs before, and this one is the most pleasant one so far. The hosts are very generous with their house and provide a lot of amenities along with the rooms. Breakfast was always very good, and the house includes a library with books on Gettysburg and the Civil War. Mike is very knowledgeable as well, and comes out for a chat after cooking a pretty amazing breakfast. A very good value, and a very comfortable stay.

Mike & Marj make you feel like you're visiting family. Homemade breakfasts were great. Little things like cookies or cakes in the dining room for afternoon or evening snacks added a special touch. Hot drinks were always available. Keystone Inn is located away from the busy tourist part of town but still within a short walk to the town square. Really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay here again when back in the area.

Our room and the dining area were immaculate and the service was extremely friendly without being cloying. Breakfasts were well prepared but tended to be on the sweet side. Guests could chose an 8 or 9 am seating. Brownies or cookies were provided every night. Literature on the Gettysburg area, the battle and the Civil War in general, as well as other reading materials was abundant. The inn is within an easy walk of the town square and multiple excellent restaurants. We highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

Our stay at The Keystone Inn was wonderful. There were 3 of us and we stayed in the General Greene suite which was perfect. The breakfasts was wonderful and Mike and Marj were very personable. I would recommend this Inn to everyone that would like to stay in Gettysbury.

I stayed at this BNB recently, and I found it to be very lovely. The distance between the BNB and the historical district was within walking distance but we did take our car. The inn was absolutely clean and well taken care of. The housekeeping was also great. Although there are some negatives that I didnt like: Because of our late arrival, we were not greeted or shown around, even on our second day there. There weren't any selection of breakfast, or any notification of what would be served. The breakfast was good, and satisfying but nothing I would rave about. The innkeepers werent so friendly, a bit odd but that didn't bother me. Also, we didn't receive a paid bill and I didn't even realize this till I got home. Overall, the price, the service, and the cleanliness is what I was happy about.

Very convenient to the historical downtown and battlefield

My family's stay was very nice and we were happy with the room. My only request would be to include what floor the room was on before booking it, because both my mother and I have had knee surgery and all those steps about did us in. The Keystone Inn was a great stay and the food was great. The people were accommodating and very nice. I would definately stay there again.

Beautiful home, wonderful food (sweets are available during the day as you go in and out and breatfast is delicious and filling without leaving you feel "heavy" all day, just enough to fuel your walk around!). I chose this place because of the library, even though I did not have much time to sit and read, but I spent about 1 hour in there. The room was a great size, the bathroom was much larger than any hotel, and the bed was extremely comfy. TV, DVD player, and mini fridge were in the room. The fridge came in handy to cool our waters overnight so they were cold for the morning. Mike and Marj were wonderful hosts, they come and chat at breakfast, offer help if you need anything in the area, and are very welcoming. If you're doing the Gettysburg battlefield, they have the audio tours you can borrow for free if you choose the auto tour, which saves about $20 at the visitors center. Great stay, if I go back I will look into this place again.

Keystone Inn is a beautiful Victorian Home with a nice porch on the front. There are lots of Teddy Bears on desks and stairs - very lovely. Delicious breakfast. Friendly and helpful innkeepers. We enjoy our spacious, comfortable and quiet room with well working WLAN.

Reaser room was quite comfortable & lovely. Didn't expect the noisy traffic on Hanover St at night. Mike & Marg are very organized & made us feel very welcome into their home. I think next time we'll try one of the other rooms, away from the busy street.

My wife and I stayed in the General Reynolds' room on our anniversary trip to Gettysburg. (July 2011) As you drive through the town of Gettysburg you pass through some pretty dumpy areas. As we passed by some of the other (more expensive) B&B's I had researched, I was growing apprehensive about the condition of the lodging in Gettysburg. But then we pulled up to the Keystone Inn, and I breathed a sigh of relief! Even before entering the house, I could tell by the professional landscaping and well-kept exterior, that the hosts are committed to providing an enjoyable experience for their guests. The Inn is situated on a large yard, and the traffic did not keep us awake, even during "bike week." My wife commented that the towels were the softest she had ever used, and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was enjoyable, and with 4 separate tables you don't have to interact with the others unless you want to. Mike recommended an excellent restaraunt for our anniversary dinner, and he is very knowledgeable about the history of the park, as well as the tourist attractions. I would stay at the Keystone again if the opportunity arose.

This was our first visit to a Bed and Breakfast and it was a wonderful experience. The Day's were extremely friendly and made us feel at home without making us feel awkward staying in someone's home. It is only a few blocks from the main square and was a beautiful walk. Our room was beautiful and the towels in the bathroom were the softest towels we have ever felt. We also enjoyed the library that was filled with local history and the folder in our room highlighting local attractions. A GREAT place to stay!

Keystone B&B is beautiful! This was our first stay at a B&B and we were more than happy with our stay. We were greeted by Mike and given a tour of the house. We stayed in General Early's Suite. It is on the second floor and shares a balcony with another room, but there are two seperate seating areas. We were able to use the fire escape (as long as it was dry) so it was like having a private entrance, which was nice when returning late at night. The jacuzzi tub was very nice and the towels were very soft and fluffy. The house and suite is stocked with treats and drinks. The porch and yard have plenty of seating and are well lit. There is plenty of off street parking. The Innkeepers are very nice. They are there if you need them, but they don't invade your privacy. Keep doing what your doing, Mike and Marj! We love your house! Marj, I love your tree...so pretty.

This was my first trip to Gettysburg altho my husband had visited the battleground before. Mike & Marj provided us with an audio tour CD so we were able to drive to various important sites and listen to explanations of their significance along the way. We stayed in the Reaser Room and were most comfortable. There was a spacious closet, lovely dresser & lots of shelf space in the bathroom. The bed was every bit as comfortable as our bed at home. My husband enjoyed reading in the recliners in the room. There's a great library stocked with countless books about the Civil War as well as DVDs which guests can take to their room. Altho the house was filled with other guests, the room was very quiet. Mike & Marj put out baked treats and provide coffee and tea at the end of the day...a nice touch. I also liked that they offer two "seatings" for breakfast to accommodate people's preferences & schedules.

My daughter and I recently visited and really enjoyed our stay. I so appreciated the recommendations of the hosts and the loan of the audio tour of the battlefield - it met our needs without having to hire a personal guide or take a bus tour. The food was delicious!

My girlfriend and I wanted to visit Gettysburg and get an experience that a generic Holiday Inn simply couldn't offer. We decided on the Keystone Inn because of it's location (in town, but away from the noise) and character. We were not disappointed with our decision (understatement). We couldn't have been happier with the service and accommodations. The staff is helpful and genuinely concerned with your well-being while a guest. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a B&B in Gettysburg, and I'll certainly be back.

Mike and Marj went above and beyond to make sure our stay was first rate. My husband is a diabetic and they made him a special breakfast each morning that fit within his dietary restrictions. House is beautifully restored and decorated. Beds comfortable. Location easy to find and close to attractions.

My husband and I spent two nights in Gettysburg, on our way back to Ohio from Philadelphia. I knew nothing about the B&Bs in the area, so I chose the Keystone based on recommendations online. We were not disappointed. The biggest surprise was the comfort of our king size bed. Though the temps reached 98 degrees, our room stayed cool and comfortable. (If you don't like the sound of a window air-conditioner, it may be a bit loud for you, but not unusual.) The breakfasts were very good and if needed, afternoon snacks available. Marj and Mike were the perfect hosts. They answered any questions we had about the area and made suggestions for places to eat. They offered a room, designated as the library, full of information about Gettysburg. We borrowed the audio tour for our car and traveled the entire battlefield, at our own pace, with narration. No need to buy one, since they had them available. If we ever return, I have no doubt I would stay there again.

We were so pleased with our stay at the Keystone. It is a clean, well kept B&B. It is beautifully decorated, yet homey and welcoming. Our hosts could not have been more helpful with information about the area. The breakfast's were amazing! All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who asked and would return ourselves if ever in the area again. One problem my husband had and that was as cook a chef as Mike was, he is misguided in his football team. Steelers fan? Reallly now!

We reently stayed at the keystone inn and we were service with respect and effiency, I have parkinson and without my asking the tennant took my suitcase upstaires, that was real class, the friendlyness was a real treat since they took the time to chat event though they run a tight schedule, the food was awsome, thums up to the chef, we would certaintly stay there again and its only a short walk from downtown, Good job.

From the moment I walked in the door and was personally greeted and given a tour of my room, I could tell that I made the right decision with Keystone. The room was clean, bright, and comfortable, the location was wonderful, and the owners were warm, amiable, and attentive. I only wish that I had more time to enjoy the lovely gardens and porch!

We recently spent one evening at the Keystone and couldn't have been more pleased. The entire Inn was spotless, and the owners Mike & Marj were wonderful hosts. Our room was on the second floor, bright and quiet. The Inn is a short walk from the square and restaurants. Make sure to ask Mike about the battlefield and the best routes to see things.

The property was maintained very well and true to the nature of Gettysburg. The rooms were very ample and very quiet. The hosts were very accommodating with every detail covered before we could ask. They encouraged guest interaction for added homey feeling.

Spent two nights. Very comfortable king size bed. Beautifully restored and maintained. Decor a little too busy for my taste (lots of Boyd Bears and a year round Christmas Tree). Did not care for breakfast, again my taste, it was well prepared and fresh just too much sweet stuff for me. Coffee could have been stronger but again thats individual taste. Convenient location. Felt at home, nice couple.

We stayed at the Keystone Inn for two nights in March 2011 and the bed and breakfast far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were set up with beautiful pieces of the time and had the modern conviences of today like wi fi and cable tv. The hosts were great, they gave a tour of their home and made us feel welcome. The full breakfast the next morning was a real treat and the snacks at night were delicious. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone and will definetly return.

We chose a suite, and enjoyed having plenty of room to move around. We especially appreciated the refrigerator and microwave. We highly this B&B.
