We loved our room the Spread Eagle Suite. Each evening they leave your breakfast for the next day! Everything is homemade -- the cookies were especially good. Could walk everywhere. Would stay there again.

Sweet people, clean rooms, great heat in the winter, lots of pillows, sweet and filling breakfast, pots and pans to cook with, Gettysburg wine for sale right next door. Very, very cozy. read more

The warmth and ambience of the lobby is reminiscent of a quaint European hotel. The original chestnut staircase leading to your private suite has been carefully restored to its 19th century beauty.The Majestic Suite with King bed, fireplace, living room, jacuzzi tub and spacious bath is a favorit to all.
The James Gettys Hotel has won numberous restoration awards. Historic photographs of the hotel decorate the walls of the quaint lobby.
Our narrow garden can be enjoyed in the early morning with the paper and coffee. We also share the property with our neighbors at the Blue Parrot Bistro - nice location for an outside lunch or romantic dinner.Each suite has a sitting area and kitchenette for a lazy afternoon of reading, or relaxing with a cocktail before dinner.
Comfortable beds with down blankets, plush linens and special quilts adorn each bedroom.Fine toiletries and plush towels are just a few special touches you will find at the James Gettys Hotel
