We have stayed in many bed and breakfast locations over the years, and this was one of the very best. I would absolutely recommend it.

We were fortunate enough to stay 2 nights in the Ohio room at the Brickhouse Inn on short notice. It was the best decision we could have made. We decided on the package deal which included a 3 hr. private tour of the Battlefied. Susan our guide was fantastic. We could have listened to her all day. Brian and Tessa the owners, are wonderful warm people. The first morning we thought it was a bit cool to eat outdoors on their beautiful patio, so we opted to eat indoors and this did not pose a problem at all to the staff. I am not a breakfast person but I could become one if the staff cooked for me daily. Food was outstanding. We were on the third floor which was not an issue for us. It was quiet and cozy. The bed was comfortable, the room an ample size, clean and neat and had everything you would ever need. We were within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We will certainly be returning and I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

The Brickhouse is a great place to stay if your interested in the Battle of Gettysburg . You can walk to many of the sights and was built at the time of the Battle. Beautiful grounds around the B&B. I would recommend a stay and would myself stay again.

Every aspect of our stay at the Brickhouse was great. Great innkeepers, great food, great room, beautiful/great grounds. We stayed in the Alabama Room which was awesome. The Brickhouse is close to everything you will want to do in Gettysburg. I think my favorite part was just reading in the garden. It is very peaceful there. this was our second time at the Brickhouse and each time it gets better.

Overall our stay at The Brickhouse Inn was disappointing. I have stayed at many B & Bs and have had wonderful experiences; just mediocre here. The woman who welcomed us at The Brickhouse was not warm or welcoming. She showed us the rooms in a very perfunctory fashion. Never asked where we were from , how our travels had been, etc.. Very clean rooms; Tennessee was a bit cramped but New York was bigger. Breakfast was good and it was pleasant to sit on patio. Major complaint is that I felt like I was in a small hotel rather than a comfortable, warm inviting home. The owners/staff never spoke to us or engaged us in any way; very disappointing. The street noise is also very loud although convenient to walk to restaurants. I would not stay here again.
