For the rather high room rate charged and the photos on the website, we arrived expecting a premium experience. On the positive side, the house looks well-maintained and the grounds are well-kept. Our room featured period furniture, and was clean. The bed was comfortable, with lots of pillows. The porch was a good place to relax in the evening and watch the hummingbirds. On the less positive side, the ensuite bathroom was small, poorly lit, and not particularly clean, water pressure from the shower head was a trickle at best, and there was no hot water. There was no dedicated guest area for an evening sit, instead we were invited to join the host in the small living room where the family was already watching tv. We were required to remove our shoes before entering the house to walk up to our room. Breakfast, instead of being served in a dining room, was served at a table in the messy kitchen. The breakfast itself was basic, with small portions that left us hungry. Bottom line: so-so breakfast, cold water trickle shower, we felt like an imposition on the hosts. If you are looking for a romantic room and don't mind a complete lack of hot water and basic guest amenities that one usually expects to find in a premium B&B, this may be worth half of what they charge. Otherwise, very poor value for the money charged.

We were welcomed to the B&B cordially and shown to our room where the owner showed us all of the particulars and explained breakfast arrangements to us. There was TV, Movies and just plain quiet if wanted. There are places to walk and places to visit near by and I would jighly recommend this place to all who want a special time away.
