The Estate's Background Chapel Valley Estate began as a remodeling adventure in 2003. Originally an aged farmhouse on unattended grounds, Chapel Valley Estate experienced a complete renovation. From the remodeled farmhouse to the extensive addition, Chapel Valley Estate exists as a marriage of old and new. The natural stonewalls, unearthed during construction, and recycled building materials provide the charm of a New England bed and breakfast. Also as a conference facility, Chapel Valley Estate delivers professional amenities and technology conveniences to its guests.

Very warm and relaxing stay! Very helpful with local dinner suggestions as well. It was nice to get away from it all, nice to chat with the owners, and the entire place was immaculate. Oh and the bed was soooooo comfortable!! What a beautiful venue for a wedding.... we will keep it in mind, when the time comes, for our daughters!!

My husband and I were in a wedding at Shakespeare's and we, along with some of the bridal party, stayed in various rooms at the inn. It was a great stay and we felt so welcome! Definitely recommended, and we would love to find a reason to stay there again!

We went to Chapel Valley Estate at the recommendation of a friend. The food and food service was personal and excellent. We have gluten sensitivities and everything was delicious and safe for us to eat. We came Friday and our night was nice. The problems arose on Saturday. There was a wedding reception scheduled onsite (under large tents) for 4pm. We were informed of this on Saturday and we asked if parking would be an issue for us. The owner then saved us a parking spot. We bought some food for dinner and planned on a cozy evening inside. People started to arrive and the music started at an almost constant heavy beat. It was so loud that we could make out each song in our room and could not turn the tv up loud enough. We actually couldn't hear much of the movie that we were trying to watch. I called at 9:20pm to ask when the music would stop because it was really beginning to get to us, I was told 10pm, no apology was given. A bright "dawn to dusk" light was left on outside our window all night. It was like sun shining into the window. The next morning, the chef apologized for the noise and offered us a free cookbook. Too expensive for the response we got..... nice cookbook but it didn't make up for a lost, rare evening and the owners never said anything, they left it to the chef. Won't go back.

This beautifully situated old home had surprises at every corner. Our room was off a central rotunda on the second floor, the ceiling of which is beautiful punched tin material. The doors were made of beau finished cherry wood which looked like a high end furniture such as Stickley. There was the right amount of Western Pennsylvania "kitch" around to make the inn homey and fun. There is a road nearby so there was some traffic noise during the day but quiet at night.
