1818 Stone Ridge Farm Country Inn

We are definitely returning for another stay at this historic B&B . The Inn was all dressed up in her Holiday cheer. The breakfast was excellent, and the shopping was so nice this time of year at Peddlers Village too. Thank you Jackie for a wonderful time. Janice & Dave

The people who run it were nice, we enjoyed checking out the all the decorations, prints and furniture. Our room was in the stable, the bed was comfortable though we did have to hunt down some more TP! :)

Stone Ridge is a lovely, 5 star B&B. Using your rating system to rate it, produced an average of only 4 star because the rating system is relative to one’s expectations. That’s too bad. Based on their website, I had very high expectations (I wouldn’t have chosen it otherwise) and it met them in every category. Fortunately the food and service did exceed even my high expectations in those categories so I was able to go more than 3 stars there. But, really, if one has high standards of cleanliness, how can a place possibly exceed them and get rated 4 star or 5 star? If the website photos of the rooms accurately picture them and one has accurate expectations, how can the rooms exceed those expectations? We met two other couples there and spent two nights. In Jackie’s absence, Macario welcomed us and showed us around. Because of the recent heavy rains and very high humidity, the Garden Room (Rm 10) on the ground floor level in back that we had reserved seemed a bit musty (the dehumidifier needed emptying) and the windows didn’t open (and I love open windows at night). Macario was eager to show us a room on the upper level that had not only a window that opens, but a door onto a deck shared by the rooms our friends were in. And when our friends checked in and he saw him using a cane and walking with some difficulty, he offered them a room with a handicapped accessible bathroom instead of the room they had reserved. The rooms were all lovely and the public rooms also lovely. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us to hang out together. The piece de resistance is Macario’s breakfasts. Outstanding. Wonderful food, beautifully presented, and served by Melody. For the second morning, Macario had remembered that one of us did not eat bacon and that another drank decaf. Couldn’t ask for better service. If we ever travel to Bucks County again, we would love to stay there again. Lorrie Rogers

We have stayed at B&B's in the past but this experience was outstanding. Jackie is a wonderful host who maintains an elegant yet comfortable B&B in a renovated barn.The little touches like wine glasses in the room, and 24 hour access to hot and cold beverages and snacks made us feel right at home. The location is a short drive from Doylestown (a town that we ended up enjoying more than our intended destination of New Hope.) The highlight of our stay was the breakfast. Each morning was a yummy new dining experience. I love to cook, but the breakfasts made by Jackie's chef and his attention to detail was something I would never begin to do at home. When I want one of these great breakfasts, I'll just have to make reservations to stay at Stone Hill Barn again.

Family of four spent a long weekend at this charming, comfortable inn that we found to be superior in all respects. The inn-keeper, Jackie, and her two principal staffers, Macario and Melody, provided a warm and friendly welcome, assistance when needed, and good information on local attractions and dining options. One should not judge Jackie's no-nonsense, business-like demeanor too quickly as she soon displays her true persona in witty banter and intelligent comment on a wide range of topics. Mercario is a true gem in providing a wide range of services both inside and out, not the least of which are amazing breakfasts, different each morning, and among the best we have found in B&Bs around the world. And lovely Melody is a pleasure to behold both while serving in the dining room and keeping the guest rooms tidy and in top shape. This inn will be our first choice should we require lodging in this area in future.

Peaceful, beautiful, unbelievable transformation of original barn! Would recommend to anyone!

This is our go-to Inn when we are in Bucks county. We have been coming here for a number of years and are never disappointed. The rooms are clean and cozy with great views across the meadows with horses grazing. The breakfast is amazing - always ! We will continue to book here and strongly suggest that you try this Inn.

Rustic and charming place. Wonderful gentleman checked us in and prepared breakfast each morning that was delish. Issue was we were there during a hot spell and there were some electrical problems in another room and the fuse box was in our closet. The very uncharming owner woke us up not once but twice with almost no apology to reset the fuse. I would never stay there in the summer again.

The episode that this guest is referring to happened when we were having an extreme heat wave and there were blackouts in many areas. I believe the temperatures during their stay were in the high 90s and caused one of the rooms to continually blow a the electrical fuses. This has never happened in the twelve years that we have been in business. The problems with the electricity during this heat wave were so intense that the electrical wire into our building blew and shut down the entire Inn for a few hours on Sunday morning. None of the other guests were bothered by it but that will tell you how serious the problems were in our area with the electrical blackouts. I did have to go into this guest's room to fix the electrical box but I can guarantee you that I was very apologetic about it and explained the situation to this guest, telling her that it had never happened before. We try to control everything and are sorry we had to inconvenience this guest, but some things are beyond our control such as power outages due to extreme weather. All you have to do is read the review before this one that tells the true story about our Inn. If this guest had stayed at another Inn down the road, she might have had the same situation as here as this power failure affected the entire area.

1818 Stone Ridge Farm Country Inn is an absolutely beautiful escape! The renovated barn and surrounding gardens are gorgeous, and a perfect location for a weekend vacation, corporate retreat, wedding, or other celebration! There is a pervading aura of tranquility, perfect for a relaxing getaway. You can read or play games in the welcoming common areas, there is horse back riding or a swim in pool, or visits to lovely nearby towns like New Hope! The breakfast prepared by Macario were wonderful! The proprietor and staff are all very knowledgeable about the area, local attractions, and restaurants. The B&B is very nice and restful. The main building is an historic place. Everything is linked to horses. If you have a child keen of horses, it would be a wonderful place for him. That's our situation. We are a French family with 2 children 16 and 13 yo. We enjoyed this stay and would stay another year. Choose this Inn because rooms were available with 2 beds. We were thrilled with the unique atmosphere, the gardens, the refreshing pool and the amenities. My friend and her daughter, myself and my daughter always look for somewhere interesting for our getaways. We loved the Stone Ridge Farm! Our daughters loved petting the horses and talking to Jackie and Macario about them. Our room (Garden #10), was plenty big enough . Breakfast both days was more than we expected, Macario does a great job! The inn itself is beautifully decorated and offers many cozy corners to just sit and relax. There is also an outdoor pool available, which we didn't get the chance to use because of all day shopping we did at Peddler's Village which is close by. We definitely would like to come back again!

Was very pleased with the accommodations and service. The horse farm setting was absolutely wonderful.

My husband and I were looking for a place to spend our five-year anniversary weekend. We almost went to the beach.....I'm very glad my husband talked me into trying something different! We highly recommend the experience! We very much enjoyed our private garden and entrance, watching the horses in the field from pool-side, horseback riding in the state park, the gourmet breakfasts, the staff, (I only call them "staff" because I wouldn't want to spell their names incorrectly!), and the Innkeeper who gave us all the names of places she thought we would enjoy! And she was right! What a beautiful setting she has created -- unique areas for dining and relaxing with a good book; comfortable, clean, and quiet rooms; private garden spots We were delighted with our stay and will remember our five year anniversary always! Before our arrival, Jackie - the innkeeper - called to let us know she was going to be away while we were there and offered her apologies. We were impressed from the moment we arrived! We just returned from a 2 night stay and found the inn very charming and quaint and loved all the wood and stone. The furnishings fit the style of the inn as did the many beautiful paintings on display which were done by the inns owner Jackie. We noticed a couple reviews that accused her of being rude but what we found was a delightful eccentric artist who treated both the guests and her staff respectfully. This not only being a B&B but a working horse farm, her farm manager also did duty as chef was a delightful gentleman and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts prepared on both days and the the treats left in the guest area which also had a microwave and fridge for our use and was also stocked with teas, hot chocolate and popcorn. We only met the housekeeper once and she was very friendly. Arriving on Monday the inn was not totally full and we were offered the option of staying in Hayloft Room 1 instead of the room we booked. We took this room and loved it, we were able to sit on a nice deck which overlooked the pastures and watch the horses grazing and enjoy the beautiful grounds. There is also a swimming pool but we didn't the the opportunity to use it. Jackie was helpful with restaurant suggestions and even keeps acouple notebooks filled with menus so you can get an idea of the offerings. If you want to just chill at the inn upstairs overlooking the the greatroom is a library on one side and a gameroom on the other. The livingroom is very comfortable and has a large TV (so do the rooms), dvd player and dvds to watch. The breakfast area is beautifully arranged. We will most definately come back again and have already recommended this inn. Thank you Jackie and Staff for a wonderful stay.

My husband and I have two daughters (age 2 and 7 months), and we wanted a quiet weekend getaway. We stayed in the Milk House (Suite 5) and were completely thrilled with the set up for the 4 of us. Though the cottage is small, it is set apart from the rest of the house so crying babies don't ruin anyone else's weekend... And the separate room was perfect for our 2 year old to sleep in the daybed and the baby in a pack'n'play. We had our own little patio for coffee in the morning, and the girls loved the little lawn where we taught our older daughter how to play croquet (or at least throw the balls). The selling point is the beautiful converted barn that is the main "lodge". The inside is spectacularly unique and rustic. Very comfortable and intruiging. Quiet and romantic, too - so much that we decided to go back at some point without the girls! The food was good, and the staff was kind, courteous and generous with their recommendations for local attractions. Overall, a fantastic weekend. Highly recommend this place, especially at low-season when it's quiet.

My family booked several rooms at the Inn for the weekend of my brother's wedding. I had a great time at the wedding but an even better time relaxing in different quiet nooks at the Inn -- outside in the garden, reading a book under a tree, playing board games in the loft. The personalized attention, directions, recommendations from Jackie, the owner, made me feel like a had a friend in town. We all slept soundly in the comfortable beds. I look forward to going back. Very comfortable stay. The innkeeper has lots of good local advice and is eager to share it. The atmosphere is relaxed and there were homemade treats always sitting about. We stayed 4 nights and had a great time. I hope to get back for one of the art workshops. Love the character of the old barn and the beautiful gardens.

The bed and breakfast was beautiful and the location to all shops and activities was also great. But the best of all was the breakfast and the staff The individuals were the nicest people I have ever met and they went out of the way to make everyone comfortable.

Room was nice with direct access to outside deck. Bathroom was good size with large, roomy shower. Breakfast was fresh, more than ample and delicious. Quirky but very kind and hospitable innkeeper and staff. Would stay here again if needed to be in the neighborhood.

Upon being approached about staying at a bed and breakfast I was extremely hesitant. All I can say is the first time's a charm! Staying at Stone Ridge Farm Country Inn was a wonderful experience and I will certainly be returning. When we pulled in on Friday, we began our journey as strangers....by the time we left on Sunday I felt like I was saying goodbye to family. Miss Jackie and her staff are TOP NOTCH in every way possible. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. The breakfast and snacks were extraordinary, and the service was impeccable. My husband and I stayed at the Inn, along with four other couples. When we first arrived, Jackie was a little surprised to see us all on Harley Davidson's. By the end of the weekend, the ladies that were scrapbooking, and even Miss Jackie ended up enjoying their time sitting on the bikes having their pictures taken. Jackie provided us with directions and we were able to complete a covered bridge tour on the motorcycles that was scenic, relaxing, and all that we had hope for. She was available to us all weekend to suggest local events and eateries, and we all felt like she was our honorary "mom" for the weekend. Every part of this trip exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to do it all again!!!

I ended up only being able to spend 1 night w/ the day I arrived and left very rainy ones - so feedback is limited. The room was exactly as I expected from the photos on the website. Very comfortable and cozy. The brief amount of time I spent looking at the grounds was very enjoyable. Breakfast was great - first time in a long time I've had potatoes with breakfast that felt like a chef cooked them. Staff was very pleasant and friendly.

This was our first visit to 1818 Stone Ridge Farm and we only reserved for one night. It should have been three or four. We stayed in the Paddock Room, enjoyed the private patio looking out to the horses, and talked with staff about the horses, their care, the running of the farm and on and on. What a wonderful, relaxing stay.

It was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast and other places will be hard-pressed to match Stone Ridge for comfort, charm, and friendliness. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to explore more of Bucks County.

Everything was excellent, and Jackie Walker, the Innkeeper, was very friendly and helpful in every way. My wife and I enjoyed everything about our stay, except having to go home at the end!

Liked being on the ground floor, in room next to the garden and horse corral. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves horses. Small, friendly staff. Great-tasting, beautifully presented breakfasts. Lots of rooms to roam around in, for the shared areas. Just opposite Pearl S. Buck house, too.

We loved our stay there. What a unique and cozy place. This is not like other bed and breakfasts. The barn is amazing. The horses walked right up to me. Our room was great. Jackie was great to talk to and we'll definitely be back and recommending this place highly.

I enjoyed my room. It was very roomy as was the bathroom. The people were very kind and the food was great. My favorite part was the quint library. We really found that rather peaceful.

For our 35th, we decided to sneak away from home nearby for some good dinners in New Hope and a visit to our fav, the Michener Museum in Doylestown. The latter sets a high standard for any regional museum, with collections that include the late artist-in-wood George Nakashima and a host of outstanding Impessionists from the Delaware Valley. But, back to Stone Ridge, the breakfasts were noteworthy as was the blessed heat from a comforting radiator.

Just a one night stay but was impressed with everything and everyone. I would come back again. Want to visit New Hope and Doylestown so this would be a close place to stay. Thanks for all of your efforts to make our stay enjoyable.

We were up in Buck County for a wedding and picked StoneRidge Inn on the internet. We had a great two night stay and found the food and amenities wonderful. We will try to stay there again sometime. Gene & Vae from North Carolina.

This charming, lofty barn perfectly decorated with period pieces is like opening the pages of an fairytale book and being enchanted by each page. The main house of the inn is a grand, seamless network of unclosed rooms, creating a relaxed, spacious feeling. The game room in the "hayloft" and sitting rooms encourage long conversations. It is truly as romantic as it looks in pictures and more. The only caveat was that the innkeeper was rough around the edges upon our arrival, but warmed up soon after. A perfect place for a wedding or anniversary.

I am truly shocked by this guests's description of my geeting them except to say if they were the guests who decided to go around to the side of the building and into the laundry room area where I was working, completely starteling me( I was alone in the B & B) instead od entering the B & B at the front door which is clearly seen upon arrival. Not expecting a guest to enter this way was a total shcok and at first I did not know who they were. We welcone all of our guests warmly here and are glad they have chosen to stay with us.

We had a wonderful time in a beautiful, quiet, comfortable place. The food was outstanding and our hostess Jackie made it a very colorful and memorable experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone but not if you're on a carb-restricted diet as you really don't want to miss the stuffed croissant breakfast!

We enjoyed a two-night stay and were very pleased with the B&B. The facility is a large renovated barn that is really amazing. There were a few comfortable sitting areas for relaxing and/or reading, and a loft for playing board games. We had our 8-year old daughter with us and she loved it as well.

Lovely place in south-central Bucks County, PA. The rooms were comfortable and the central spaces in the barn were inviting as well. Breakfast was great as was service. Nearby towns with good dining options but off on a side road that keeps things quiet enough you can hear the horses in the pasture. We would come back again.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Inn. Our room was comfortable and the great room in the main lobby area was fabulous. There was a charming TV area, old fashioned "game room" and library. Breakfast was awesome and huge- you won't need to eat till dinner. We will be back!

I was not to happy. the toilet was not working at first. When I called to get some one , I could not reach anyone. Nobody called me back until the AM hrs. and we had alot of spiders in the room. Alive and dead.

Our check in policy is from 3-7 PM. This guest 's reservation stated her check in time at 3PM. When she did not arrive by 5 PM, we called her and reminded her about the check in times and asked when she expected to arrive. She said she did not know. We then told her she could do a self check in after 7 PM which she agreed to do as we were going to be out for a few hours. We did not receive any calls from her on our cell phone. In the morning we saw she had called the office and called her and she said everything was fine, the toilet started working. No mention of spiders. It is our utmost concern to make sure our guests are comfortable in their rooms and everything is working. If the guest would have checked in at our regular checkin times(which is stated on our website) , there would have been someone here to take care of this matter.

Stayed here with my fiancee for our one year anniversary. Check in was efficient and courteous. While at booking I had notified the B&B that is was our anniversary and asked them to let me know if anything special could be done, nothing was nor was anything mentioned. However, that was the only detraction in the stay. Our room had a private deck which opened up to the horse pasture and in the morning they came right to the deck for a visit. I would recommend this B&B to family and friends alike.

The furnishing were well appointed and fit the theme of the buildings with excellent taste. Paintings done by our host were very good. The hostess was very informative concerning the history of the inn and ssharing her own life with us. Very comfortable and enjoyable.

I had a wonderful stay at 1818 Stone Ridge Farm Country Inn Memorial Day Weekend. Seeing this converted barn transformed into this amazing bed and breakfast inn was fascinating and it is very spacious and filled with beautiful antiques and was a most enjoyable stay. Breakfast was delicious and very satisfying with homemade muffins and a complete breakfast and served in an elegant setting. I will be most happy to return to Jackie Walker's inn in the very near future.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Stone Ridge Farm as we were passing through the Bucks County area. It won a place in our hearts the first time we entered that incredibly beautiful restored barn! Jackie, owner, innkeeper and exceptional artist (she just started offering art workshops), has really created something special here. Macario, the inn’s fabulous cook and assistant innkeeper, could not be more gracious and helpful – he also serves up an incredible breakfast along with baked sweets always available as a snack. As you walk into the barn, you enter the main living space, reception area, and dining area. Jackie has decorated it stunningly but comfortably, so that it is warm and inviting – exactly what you would expect in an upscale country farmhouse. Did I mention the horses? Stone Ridge Farm is also a ten-acre horse farm, and you can always catch sight of a few of them grazing beyond the house. The essence of tranquility! We have stayed in Room #9 and Room #10 and we found both to be exceptionally charming, with all the comforts of home. A bonus is that the house was once the dairy barn of author and humanitarian, Pearl S. Buck. There is a real sense of history at the inn – beyond its pastoral beauty. Buck’s primary residence is open for tours and is just down the street – I highly recommend it. I also recommend you visit Stone Ridge Farm Country Inn’s official website for some great pictures. If you’re thinking of getting married in the area, you should call Jackie right away. Due to demand, she just started offering wedding packages that sound too good to pass up! We definitely look forward to staying here the next time we’re in Bucks County!

I was surprised to find myself so comfortable at Stone Ridge Farm. Unlike other B&Bs, I could move freely, make a cup of tea when I needed it, use the guest fridge and microwave.

The most unique B&B I have ever stayed in. It is a coverted barn & horse farm with great accommodations and very interesting and friendly inkeepers.

The first reviewer just about said it all. I can only emphasize the care, planning, skill and artistry that went into the conversion of this barn - and the beauty of the many pieces of art and crafts that fill the place... the warmth and liveliness of Jackie Walker, the Innkeeper and the culinary skill of her assistant, Macario. The breakfasts were imaginative and beautifully prepared feasts as were the everpresent snacks. It was a great treat to gaze out at the fields with horses quietly grazing until feeding time came when they galloped like the wind back to their stalls. Stripes, the cat, seemed to enjoy watching them as well as they did the inn inhabitants from the balconies or as they pressed their noses to the glass front doors. The Inn is located near many of the area's attractions; and both Jackie and Macario can add suggestions to and update the abundant travel guides lying about.

I recently visited Bucks County and stayed at Stone Ridge Farm Bed & Breakfast. I highly recommend this B&B for its country casual charm, delicious breakfasts and cozy inviting rooms. My impeccable room looked out on a gorgeous pasture with horses grazing. For a city gal like me, it was quite special. Actually everything about this B&B is special. The converted stone barn is magnificent and unique. This is the perfect B&B if you aren't the usual frilly B&B type. You immediately feel at home and comfortable. Innkeeper Jackie Walker is friendly and very helpful with ideas to make your stay memorable. And don’t forget to ask her to see her studio, Jackie is an accomplished artist. You will not be disappointed at Stone Ridge Farm.
