Jacobs Resting Place

Voted best Bed and Breakfast in the area, Jacob's Resting Place built in 1790 is of classic five bay brick Georgian design with original floors, doors, window sashes, woodwork, and seven fireplaces. It was a colonial inn from 1802 through 1835. The Innkeeper, Jacob Matter, called the property "Jacob's Resting Place". Colonial in design, Jacob's Resting place retains its original architectural treatments. Beset with period antiques and historical displays, each room reflects a unique period of history. The grounds include a large inground pool and 3,000 square feet of patios, a furnished pool house with hot tub, colonial and cottage gardens and the Letort a classic limestone trout stream on three acres.
All five rooms have private baths. Three are suites with bed chambers, two person whirlpool baths, and sitting rooms with fireplace.
We specilize in all-inclusive Civil War History Packages.
