Located in Oak Hall between historic Boalsburg and Lemont, our country style farmhouse is just 4 miles from PSU and 5 miles from downtown State College. A perennial nursery also sits on our 17 acres. Four of our guest rooms have queen size beds and private baths. Our fifth room is handicapped accessible with two twin beds and a private bathroom with roll-in shower. Each room sleeps two, but roll-away beds are available to accommodate a third person in most rooms. The B&B was newly built in 2005 with the latest in safety features. Fully air conditioned and smoke free, we have high speed wireless internet capabilities. Stroll through our gardens, hike Mount Nittany or just sit and enjoy the warmth of the wood fireplace. Think of us when you plan a football weekend, anniversary celebration, wedding reception, luncheon, business meeting or a weekend getaway.

My wife and I have stayed here twice when visiting my son a Penn State, and both times we've been extremely pleased. The location is very close (under 10 minute drive) to PSU. The home is open, sunny, and beautiful. Joe is helpful and makes sure all your needs are met. The rooms are large, with private baths, and in amazing condition. And the breakfasts were outstanding. I have absolutely nothing negative to say, and look forward to staying there when I visit Penn State again, which should be quite a bit over the next 3 years.

We have stayed at this B & B a few times each year as our daughter went from undergraduate to doctoral candidate. In my opinion, it ranks # 1 of all the places to stay in the State College area. It is beautifully decorated, meticulously cared for and conveniently located. It is a quiet retreat. Breakfast is delicious and the portions are generous. You will not regret staying here!

It was a very clean venue, with a lovely fireplace in the downstairs area and great views through large windows practically anywhere in the house. I can only imagine how gorgeous it is in the spring or fall! Joe was very willing to help throughout our stay. Blueberry pancakes for breakfast were delicious. Overall it was a great stay!

Could not have asked for a better bed and breakfast. The house and all accommodations were fabulous, and the inn-keepers super friendly and attentive to our needs. We will definitely recommend it to others and will stay again.

This B&B always looks brand new; so clean, freshly painted and great sheets and towels. The breakfast is always delicious. The only telling sign of age is the gardens grow more mature every year.

We stay at the Rock garden about 6 times a year. It is always perfect, the food, the facility, the setting. Joe the owner and chef is so down to earth and friendly he does everything possible to make your stay perfect. We consider Joe a wonderful friend. Absolutely love this place.
