Greystone Manor Bed and Breakfast

We reserved three rooms in the Carriage House for a weekend. They were ready as promised. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. More upscale rooms are available in the Victorian mansion. Breakfast was terrific! One morning the owner served French toast and ham. The next morning we enjoyed eggs (cooked any style) and hash browns. Each day there was a great breakfast buffet with fresh rolls, danish, donuts, bagels, fresh fruits, juices, tea and coffee. In this price range, Angela's B&B is a very good value. Angela, the owner, chatted with guests each morning and assisted with planning daily activities. Angela also provides a basket with menus from area restaurants. This was useful in planning dinners. There is a lovely Victorian parlor for guests. On our most recent visit, the Christmas tree had just been put up. Ornaments were lovely. Outside, the mansion was decked with lights to get guests in the holiday spirit. Angela's knowledge of area events is a real help. This is a family business, and it truly provides the personal touch. this is 1 of the best places we have ever stayed the service was 5 stars all around we travel everywhere and will recommend it to everyone that we speak too. we stayed in suite number 2 which was on the second floor of the lovely Victorian mansion. 200 dollars per night but worth every penny we got a hot breakfast and buggy ride included. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a nice people get away in Lancaster County.

A two night stay here was a wonderful experience. Much detail goes into making sure the customer is pleased. Would stay again.

My wife and I come down here every year to go to Sight & Sound Theatre. This year mid August, was our first time here at Greystone Manor, and we could not have been more pleased. To have a pool to come to so you could cool off during a hot day was an asset, and it gives you an opportunity to meet other people as we did. We we are from Long Island, and met a nice couple from Canada. All the homemade food at breakfast was outstanding. and plentyful. Even though we had a room with a double bed in it, which we are not used to, it was wonderful, bright and cheerful and clean. The service was also well done, and you lacked nothing. We did a three night package, which was a great value. We are waiting for their calendar to open up for July 2013, and can not wait to come back. Their gorunds were so beautiful, that we are making our Christmas Card for this year to include some pictures we took there, as well as pictures we took of covered bridges. Prepaid for one night stay. Was met by owner's mother who was busy watching grandchildren. Showed us our room. We told her we would be missing the time of the continental breakfast because of a business meeting. No offer to have it ready early. The next day, after the meeting we returned and tried to get service to get a question answered. No response to the bell. Finally telephoned and owner was just returning to the property, even tho sign said someone would be on site. We prefer B&Bs because of the interaction with the people. There was NONE here. Room was very nice but we can not recommend this place.

I am sorry we missed you and that you missed our wonderful breakfast that we serve from 730am-9am daily. We are a family atmosphere, family owned and operated and do leave periodically after breakfast to pick up a little one from school or run to the store or farmers market to get local produce or hand pick strawberries or cherries for our tarts/crepes and more. sorry we never met and that you did not have the oportunity to try all our delicious foods served in the AM.

My wife and I spent two nights and couldn't be more pleased. The innkeepers were exceptionally pleasant and helpful, our room was beautiful, the extensive gardens were very impressive and the food was great and plentiful. We can't wait to go back.

This was the best deal anyone could ask for. For $99 we got a room, hot breakfast that was eggs any way you wanted them, sausage, potato pancakes, and piping hot biscuits with honey butter. Then we got a buggy ride with this funny Amish guy named mel, a wine tasting, tons of coupons to use at outlets and shops in the cute towns and a cute little, very clean room. Angela was so helpful in helping us pick a restaurant gift card that was also included in our 99 rate, unbelievable, 99 total, omg we could get over it, if you are on a budget and need a getaway this is the place, clean and so cute.

We stayed at the Greystone for the second time! It was still really nice and we enjoyed our stay. I must say that we booked through Bed and Breakfast.com this second time, so we didn't get to pick our room. We were in the carriage house, which was nice, but we did enjoy staying inside the main house much better! Besides this, the location is great, just a minute or two and you are at the Bird in Hand Market! The landscaping is beautiful! We would recommend staying here, but I would say not to book with bed and breakfast.com if you want a room in the main house! :)

My husband and I plus our moms , who turned 80, stayed in this lovely B and B. We enjoyed three rooms in the Carriage House. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious and well prepared. Angie, the owner, was so pleasant and gave us an idea of how to plan our days in Lancaster. She was friendly, kind, and really seems to love what she is doing. We would highly recommend this place to everyone..beautiful and peaceful. We can not wait to return.

Grew up in the area, and was excited to return for short visit. The Manor has been wonderfully renovated since my childhood years!! The room was very comfortable - the bed and even the arm chair!. Housekeeping was wonderful!. Can't say anything about the food as I was meeting old friends for breakfast each morning. But a wonderful oasis and a very restful stay. I'm sure it is even more beautiful when the flowers are in bloom. Great value for the money.

My husband and I took a weekend away in March and stayed at Greystone Manor Bed and Breakfast. Our stay was so relaxing and wonderful. We love Amish Country and in the future will stay here again. It's a quiet and very lovely place. We fell in love with it the first time we stayed and look forward to staying again. The price is doable and its very clean and comfortable.

My wife and I stayed here a few weeks back. I called the inn direct because I could hardly believe the online price of 99 dollars for one night and that included breakfast, a carriage ride and a voucher for dinner. Are you serious? 99 bucks. I had to call. When I called I asked where the catch was. I was told there was none. I made the reservation. When I got the I was very surprised to find there was no catch. None. This place is quiet, clean, friendly with great food. The room we very nice. Very clean. The breakfast is what I remember the most. It was awesome. Makes me want to come all the way back down there just for the french toast. As far as I am concerned there is only one place to stay in this area and that is the Greystone Manor....A place with class. Thank you for having us.

Great breakfast! Beautiful garden, recommend to go there in spring/summer when the pool is open.

We stayed in the carriage house. The room was very nice, newly renovated. The manor house was beautiful and we had a very good breakfast there. The proprietress was exceedingly helpful and talked to guests during the breakfast time answering questions about the house and local attractions. The grounds were nice and would be exceedingly nice during the spring and summer.

We had never been to the area and chose this bed and breakfast from reviews. We had a wonderful stay. Food was very good. Hospitality great. The gardens are breath-taking! Waterfalls, ponds, a gazebo--beautiful! Great location,too. Would recommend this gracious place to anyone.

Just got back from Greystone, quite a nice find in Lancaster PA. Rooms could seem a little small, but VERY Clean and the gardens are simply amazing. Great breakfast, hot items and lots to chose from related to cold items. Rooms were spotless and the whole area and rooms is well taken care of by Angela and her family. She had quite a few DVD's to pick through and rooms are relaxing for the night. Right in the heart of Bird in hand. Nice find at a decent price. Duane

We are from the Lancaster area and needed a night away, so glad we picked greystone. Room 1 was perfect, king bed, and the shower and tub for 2. Our breakfast was strawberry crepes, tiramisu , and bacon, fresh biscuits,juice, and coffee, they even delivered it to our room for us and we got to eat it in bed. The grounds and decor was just the icing on our perfect night away. We are going to try to do this every year. Thank you, angie and Pete we will be back.

We spent 2 days at the Greystone Manor to celebrate our 5th anniversary. Everything from the decor of the room to the beautiful gardens to the food was fabulous! My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay at the Greystone. We had booked a 2 night all inclusive suite package. Let me tell you - all inclusive really is ALL inclusive. We didnt have to worry about planning anything. Each morning, Angela served up an incredible breakfast. One morning we had apple crepes, the next eggs to order - MmmmmmMmmmmm. She then helped us plan our dinners, based on our dining style & taste preferences, she even made reservations for us. The wine tasting that was included in the package was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, with the rain, we didnt get an opportunity to enjoy the buggy ride, but went to a cheese farm instead and saw how cheese was made - sampled to our hearts content & had a great time. One of the highlights of our trip was a couples massage. I had mentioned to Angela that I wanted to surprise my husband with something special & she recommended her friend, Joy. This was the BEST massage I had ever received. My husband said the same. What's more - Joy came right to our room. She played Mozart while we relaxed under her able hands. The cost was very reasonable and I would highly recommend her to everyone looking to add a little something extra special to their stay. Thank you so much Angela. We will be back!

The location and the B & B are excellent. The problem we had is that we were assigned to the smallest room which was barely large enoughto fit in a double bed. There was no room to move around. There was approximately 10" space on either side of the bed. The service at beakfast was very good. The innkeeper and her family were very codial and friendly. We will probably freturn providing we cabn get a better room. The last time we stayed ther the room was very nice.

I totally agree with the small rooms on the third floor they are our economy rooms and for only $10 more you get a queen bedroom in the carriage house that we recommend, the $10 upgrade charge is well worth it, but if you are on a budget than the economy rooms for some they are clean, and the breakfast is filling we gaurentee that. call to book reservations direct with a reservationist too, booking online gets you the smallest rooms at the smallest price. thank you so much for this review it allows us to express the importance of calling the inn direct and picking your room, 7173934233 8am-8pm a reservationist is on duty for questions. Two buildings are available-- the main house and the carriage house. I stayed with my parents in the carriage house, a two bedroom suite with a shared bathroom. The room was more than adequate, easily accessible, and exactly what I expected after viewing the online photo album. They even offered us a special rate since the room could accomodate 5 people and we were only 3. Because we visited in February, the pool wasn't yet open. When checking in, Angie was very helpful, giving us directions, suggestions, and even coupons for our weekend activities. Breakfast was very filling, with eggs made to order, sausage, bread, and a buffet with coffee, juice, and donuts. My only minor complaint would be that the building is a little difficult to see approaching from Route 30, but even so, neither my parents nor I passed it, even on our first arrival. Its location is perfect-- right between Lancaster and Intercourse-- with easy travel to all sorts of activities. I fully intend to return to stay in the main house and swim in the pool!

thank you so much. I always recommend looking for the bridge on 340 we are right before it going east or right after it heading west. I like though that we are hidden on 2 acres in Amish country on top of the hill. Also look for the big greystone wall in front of the house along the street 340, that is how the mansion/manor got it's name greystone manor. we are glad you had a good time, thank you very much and God bless

We stayed here on New Years weekend in 2010. The owners are very, very helpful and we received everything that our package included. The rooms are very clean, and quiet. This is a perfect place for a get away. Both my girlfriend and I would recommend this B&B when visisting wonderful Lancaster Co. This weekend experience could have not been better..

In keeper had us give her a check for the whole stay (2 nights) as soon as we arrived. Never had that happen before! That tells you something! One felt that it was all about money. Not a typical B&B where the inn keepers are warm and friendly. We have stayed at many inns and this was by far the worst and not worth near what we paid. Sorry for this review, but they need to spiff the place up---it's "tired".

I am very sorry you had a bad experience with our inn, I wish I could have been there the night you checked in and not had an innsitter that weekend. I assure you I am anything but tired, if anything I am a little too hyper and can never sit down, always cleaning and cooking or working in the gardens. My husband and I have renewed faith in B & B's after our stay at Greystone. We were in room 1 and contrary to the review where the person said not to stay in that room because there is a noisy ice machine outside the door, they must have exceptionally sensitve hearing. In 3 nights we didn't hear it once. The property is beautiful and the food delicious. The owners Angie and Wade were very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again and recommed it to our friends. As a first time guest at a B & B, I wasn't sure what to expect. I booked the reservations ( 2 rooms ) on line thru Expedia, then realized when we arrived that they would have been cheaper and had more included if I had called direct. The grounds/pool/hot tub were very nice, it's located close to area attractions. When we returned to the Inn after supper, we decide to sit at a table on the patio and play Phase Ten ( card game). There were 4 adults and we are not loud, noisy people. At 9:30 , someone came to the door and told us he was turning the porch light off because he was going to bed. We had no choice but to go to our rooms ( very small, no room to comfortably play cards but we did anyways). I go to bed early when I'm home and going to work but didn't expect to have to when on vacation. After this experience, I would not book another stay at a B & B.

My wife and I traveled from Leesburg, VA, last week to Greystone Manor. The place is beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and the food was very good. The location is great. We stayed in Room # 1. The room was very nice, well decorated and clean. However, there was a commercial ice machine right outside the door which made ice throughout both nights dumping the ice every hour to hour and a half. I asked Angela the first morning if she could turn it off but she said you could not turn it off like a home ice maker, short of unplugging it. Angela didn't have any other rooms available. We both loved Greystone Manor but Room # 1 was not worth the premium price we paid for it due entirely to the ice machine issue. We would definitely consider going back to Greystone Manor but would not stay in Room # 1.

I am very sorry the ice machine was an issue for you guys, I wish I could find another place for it if you have any suggestions we would be happy to take them. That was the first we have heard of an issue w/ it actually most people like the fan blowing because then you can not hear anything or anyone talking from the room or outside the room, it makes it a little more intimate and private. But we are very sorry and if you come back I promise you can have suite 2 or 3 there are no ice machines anywhenre else in the building just on the first floor. When you reserve a room months in advance of your trip at a place you have never seen or even talked with someone who has been there - you don't let your expectations get too high in case you are disappointed. We found Greystone Manor to be a shear delight ! Everything, from the glorious flowers and grounds, the lovely relaxing breakfast, to the gracious hosts made our stay one we will always treasure - and hope to repeat in the near future. Booked ongoing package deal ($109 for Queen Bed), second floor in Carriage House August 9, 2010. Spent Monday touring antiques shops and had lunch at JD's--still full at dinner time. Checked in. Went to the winery nearby and sampled 7 or 8 wines. Very friendly staff. Got in the delightful pool, surrounded by bright colorful flowers. Grounds are beautiful--three fish ponds with waterfalls. Breakfast in the morning was pancakes (w/wo fruit) and sausage. Additional breakfast bar with fresh coffee, juices, cereals, numerous home baked goods, fresh fruit, and pasteries. More than anyone needs, and all that I sampled were good. Headed out for our "carriage ride"--actual Amish carriage with authentic driver "Mel" and his trusted partner Sully (?). Ride was about 20 minutes around nearby roads. Did a little shopping and more antique stores. Checked out about 10:00. Chose our "dinner coupon" for the "Good & Plenty" restuarant for Tuesday afternoon. Had the Harvest Platter that included meat, 2 vegs, bread & butter, and desert! Our room was neat and clean. (Could use new spread & decorative pillows.) Had private bath and TV. Owners were very nice, young couple (Angela & Wade). Can't wait to go back in December--already booked !!!

We have been coming to Greystone Manor for years, and they NEVER fail to disappoint! The historic Mansion and Carriage House not only feature period piece furniture, but the rooms are VERY accommodating and quiet. PERFECT for the weary traveler or a romantic getaway. The gardens are immaculate and are well maintained and the pool is fantastic in the summer. The last time we were there in the summer we saw some Amish teenagers playing volleyball while we took a walk on the grounds. All this, plus the breakfast was top-notch! Eggs, french toast, sausage, juices, cereal, danishes, coffee, just to name a few items. the breakfast varies depending on the night you stay, but Wade and Angie make you truly feel like you are staying in their home. the hospitality is second to none. We stayed for a week while we toured Amish country. What is nice about the location is the fact that you get the perfect Amish experience, but you are also to take day trips to other areas. It is well within driving distance to Hershey, Gettysburg, Valley Forge, and Philadelphia. If you don't mind driving a little further, you can always go to Atlantic City, Ocean City, or Baltimore, or DC. To summarize, the Perfect spot to stay regardless of the season! We decided to try a b&b with our 2 year old son, while visting Lancaster. Greystone Manor exceeded our expectations and we had such a wonderful time we are staying there again in a couple months. I can't image staying anywhere else when visiting Lancaster. Between the beautiful location, great food and the price, we would be crazy to stay anywhere else!

Stayed at Greystone last August for our 40th wedding anniversary....loved it! Room very clean, food delicious.....will be staying again this year!!! Need I say more.

Our weekend stay at Grey Stone Manor was delightful. The grounds, landscaping, ponds and pool are so lovely to see. The flowers are gorgeous. Breakfast was a gourmet treat that we enjoyed immensely. We loved the horse and buggy ride and learned many details about the Amish. The B&B has a great location for all of the many attractions in the Lancaster area. Sight and Sound is wonderful. On our recent stay at Greystone Manor my girlfriend and I were instantly impressed with the incredible craftsmanship of the landscape, and the way in which every every square foot of the yard is utilized. The service was more than we could ever expect, and the package deal can not possibly be beat. The Breakfast was delicious, a wonderful spread of pastries, fruit, coffee, cereal and hot prepared breakfast. Overall, a true value for the money. We would recommend the Greystone Manor to anyone!!

This was our first experience at staying at a B&B so did not know what to expect. The building is very impressive. The grounds are beautiful this time of year. We enjoyed the buggy ride. Breakfast was great! The food was always hot and individually prepared. The crepes were very delicious. Angela was very friendly and was the entire family. The children are precious and very well-behaved. The atmosphere was very comfortable. We enjoyed getting to talk with different folks. Everyone was very friendly. One evening the area lost power so we sat outside by the pool area and had a great time. Internet service was frustrating at times. We were celebrating our anniversary and if I had known to call instead of booking online, I would have probably gotten a better choice of rooms. The room we were in did not have any place to put my computer except for the fireplace mantle. The chairs were very uncomfortable.

Authentically restored historic mansion stay was an unplanned pleasant addition to our Sight and Sound Theater experience. The staff was friendly and helpful in orienting us to the area and filling our spare time with enjoyable adventures. The room was spotless and breakfast was excellent. The $99 package deal including dinner certificate and Amish carriage tour was a bargain. We will definitely stay here again.

i had a room for 3. i was sight-seeing with my bf and a friend and we stayed here for all 5 nights of our vacation. Greystone Manor was conveniently in the middle of everything we wanted to see; about an hour from Philadelphia, and hour and a half from Gettysburg, and 30 minutes from Hershey. Angela and her family are really nice, helpful, and friendly. breakfast was served each morning in the dining room while Angela would ask us our plans for the day and give us helpful information about the area. our room was very comfortable, had a nice view, and the Mansion is beautiful. we had a great time!

my friends and I stayed at the manor for a total of 5 days. the manor is located in the middle of all the sites we wanted to see (Philly, Valley Forge, Gettsburg, Westchester, Hershey and many more). we were able to come and go as we pleased and the rooms were always cleaned. breakfast was excellent and the people friendly. even though it was still spring, the gardens were beautiful and well tended (i wish i had the gazebo with a fire pit). many thanks for a wonderful vacation!!!

First of all, we got a great deal on this website for a last minute trip to Lancaster County on Easter weekend. .. Our romm was comfortable, clean and decorated in a simple country decor. This B&B is on a corner property with a beautiful view of farmland. It has chairs and gazebos around the property along with man made creeks for guests to enjoy. I loved the sound of the water from my window along with the horse buggies at night! I have already recommended this property to fellow coworkers now that I am back in NY. I plan to visit the area again in early summer and staying here again.

Easter weekend 2010 in room 2 of Greystone. Fantastic comfortable accommodations, king size bed, separate sitting room and plenty of room. The innkeepers were / are very knowledgeable of the area. We enjoyed plenty of off the beaten path adventures per their recommendations. The breakfasts were excellent, quickly served and very delicious. Our weekend saw temperatures outside from the low 40’s to near 80 and the manor was comfortable at all times. Our room has a balcony which we enjoyed local wines, cheeses and crackers from daily. The grounds are well kept although our visit brought us there prior to prime blooming the expectations are high and well expected to come true. We have stayed at many B&Bs of several levels. Our home town Reynolds Mansion, our wedding spot, is still the highest rated however the Greystone is one of the closest to such Luxury. We will return!!!!!

This was my first trip to a B&B and Lancaster County, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was not dissapointed. My 4yr. old daughter and I stayed in room 10 in the carriage house. Nicely decorated, and well maintained. There was a wardrobe where you could store your clothes. The bed was a full size and comfortable, there was also a cozy armchair and tv in the room. The bathroom was very clean, and offered a hair dryer and tiny shampoo and lotion, and soaps. I would suggest bringing your own toiletries. I didn't have to use the same towel twice as they replaced the one I used with a fresh set and also left extras in my room. The owners were very nice chatting with myself and my daughter during breakfast. The continental breakfast consisted of a variety of pastries and both store bought and fresh baked goods. Cereal, breads, fruits and jams were also available as were a selection of juice, teas and coffee. They also offered a yummy hot breakfast, my first morning there was eggs to order, sausage or bacon, and potatoes. The second morning there was fresh apple crepes and ham steak. The beautiful gardens were just starting to awake, with some spring flowers already in bloom and the little ponds with fish and stream bubbling were enchanting. They offer seating throughout the gardens and also a gazebo with a firepit. My daughter also got use out of the swingset out back. There location was perfect for us, In walking distance to nearby shops, bakery and farmers market and very short drives to numerous attractions and a variety of shopping. Our stay at Greystone Manor was a wonderful introduction to a B&B experience and Lancaster County and the exceptional value far exceeded my expectations. I have already recommended it to my family and friends. My next stay can't come soon enough! `Heather and Lily

thank you very much we are a very large B&B, we can hold up to 38 ppl. per night and really do consider it an inn more so. So I thank you for pointing it out to future guests, we are not a typical B&B in any way, we have a large breakfast span time most B&B's are 1 time only, we have a pool, not too many do, and we hold large groups of people, most do 10 max. Thank you very much for your comments and we are glad you enjoyed the inn.

Minimal amenities: no hair dryer, no Kleenex tissues, cheap soap and dried out lotion, cheap toilet paper, etc. Our room was in the front of the mansion, making sleeping a real challenge due to traffic noise. Breakfasts were nothing special...very pedestrian. Innkeepers were pleasant, but certainly did not go the extra mile to ensure a topnotch experience.

My husband and I had a nice stay at your mansion. We had been to a B&B before and had certain expectations. Well, we were very pleased. Angela and her family were very friendly and informative. The breakfasts were good and made to order. They chatted away with their guests and made us feel like we were part of the family. We usually use our RV to travel, but enjoy going away in the winter for a night or two. This would be a nice place to go to again in the future.

Will not recommend this place to anyone!! 01/03/10 As we travel to the Bird in hand area several times a year I had often said as drove by.. I would like to stay there sometime.. So for my Christmas gift and our New Years together my husband booked a 3 night stay..He told me he said give us the bset room you have... When we checked in they immediately took our credit card and billed us for the room... Our first mistake.. Do not pay for a room until you see it.. She walked us to the bottom of the steps and said up there on the 3rd floor room #7... we walked in and said what the h...??.. The room was tiny with a twin bed,the tv even smaller and the other room had barely enough room for a double bed.. The carpet was dirty the bedspread and sheets were dingy and very well used.. Our second mistake.. We should have turned around and demanded our money back although I'm sure we would not have gotten it.. "Not their policy".. Well its New Years lets make the best of it.. We did drive 4 hrs to get here... Snack and drinks are available downstairs but you have to pay for them.. I thought that was totally insulting for a B&B.. The bed was so uncomfortable and the room was freezing.. We dug in a closet and found 2 blankets that I would have put out in my dog coop long ago.. No way to adjust the heat so we sat New Years wrapped in old blankets sitting sideways on a twin bed watching tv.. I did not sleep at all so when we got up in the morn we told them I was sick ( I was sick of that place) and asked for a refund... Nope.. Got a gift card for the balance minus there cancellation fee.. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.. ANd certainly would not give it to anyone else to stay there..Greystone Manor has a 14 day cancellation period That is absurd.. There are so many nice places to stay at I cannot figure out how this place keeps going..

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay, if you would of been honest with us and showed us or told us anything that was wrong we would of gone out of our way to fix or rectify any problems, lying about being sick was not the answer and yes that did get you a gift card if you would of been truthful we would of Gladly refunded your money or found a room to your likings, our goal is to provide a clean comfortable environment to all of our guests and to make sure they enjoy their time with us. We did just remodel the entire third floor this winter, new paint, new carpets all new furniture all new lamps, new mirrors, new pictures you name it it has been done so we would love to see you guys use your gift card and I promise it would be a perfect stay in our best suite! We really enjoyed the over the top Victorian decorations and room #3. It's like staying in a wonderful museum. Had some confusion using Bed & Breakfast.com website since we could not choose a larger room at higher price, assigned room #6 was tiny & cramped- too small for 2 people & luggage. Hostess is an unusual personality for this type of work, very assertive and outspoken. Breakfast was uninspiring similar to budget hotels- store bought packaged pastries & cereal, coffee, juice. Not what I expected from a B&B. With the right expectations, this can be a very nice place to stay.

Online reservations only get a continental breakfast, booking direct with us get you the full hot made to order delicious breakfast served from 730-9am each morning in our mansion dining room & outside on the patios. Also Yes we have small rooms that are 10x14 and usually what you get for the 40 per night online rate but, we have rooms that are 50x24 w/ fireplace, plasma tv's & sitting rooms we have a HUGE variety that can be booked direct with us. I recommend everyone to call directly if you want a large room or a particular size bed we will be happy to answer all question and make sure you have the best room for your needs. My husband and I, along with my mother in law visited the Greystone Manor Thanksgiving weekend. We actually found the inn a few weekends before, when we drove by at dust and noticed how pretty it was with all of the outdoor decorative lights. We wanted to go back to Amish country for an overnight and were lucky enough to get a room at Greystone Manor. It was more like a suite, with a room for my husband and I with another room, for my mother in law, separated by a hall way with a very clean and well stocked bathroom. The room was perfect for us. Angela, her dad and Wade were all more than welcoming and accomodating, patiently answering all of our questions about the community. Angela gave me some great suggestions for places to look at Amish goods. The breakfast was full, hearty and delicious. More than enough to satisfy anyone. I definately plan on returning in the spring with my girlfriends for a "girls weekend".

My weekend at Greystone was lovely. I experienced just the right amount of friendliness, hospitality, and privacy. My room was peaceful, pretty, and contained everything that I needed to enjoy my stay. The grounds were nice, including the goldfish ponds, convenient parking, and pastoral views. I also enjoyed the manner house itself. It was decorated elegantly and was inviting. Breakfast was served in a very warm setting with delicious food. Greystone also provided free, fresh apples, and coupons for a free carriage ride and a free wine tasting. The Inn is located in the perfect location for an easy drive to many shops and sights, and is also within walking distance of many attractions as well. Simple and tasteful sums it up!

October 30, 2009: Driving into Bird in Hand on Hwy 340 my husband and I passed the Greystone, but kept going thinking it was beyond our means. However, when the motel down the street was over $100 for one night, we consulted the Garmin GPS and Greystone's phone # came up. Wade answered the phone, he was courteous and offered us a room in the carriage house for the night at a price well under the hotel. We showed up, were welcomed warmly, checked in with no problems, and got a tour of the main house. Then we found our room in the carriage house overlooking the Manor's gardens, the neighbor's freshly harvested fields, and the farmhouse and barns. We watched the Amish buggies come and go as twilight settled in. The room was very clean and comfortably furnished. The bath was roomy and spotless. No closet, but the big hooks on the wall (Amish-style) supported our garment bags. Angela was a gracious hostess in the dining room in the morning. Breakfast was very good, with eggs and meat prepared to order, biscuits and pastries, fruits, juices, cereal, coffee and a nice selection of teas. On the way out, I grabbed an apple from the box by the front door. From start to finish it was a very pleasant stay. I could see us coming back here in the late summer with our kids and grandkids--with the pool and plenty of room to play and run, the atmosphere would be very welcoming for a multi-generational stay in the area.

This B&B is as close to perfect as you can get. The hosts are extremely amicable, the setting beautiful and I can't say enough about the grounds. the grounds of this B&B are beautiful! The breakfast is delicious and the owner is very friendly. We were in a room that faced the street, so the traffic was a bit loud and our bed was not the most comfortable, but we did like hte DVD library and the fact that we could watch the DVD in our room. On Aug.14-16,2009, my husband and I vacationed at the Greystone Manor B & B in Bird-in-Hand, PA. We are frequent guests at many B & B's, so we feel we are able to comment objectively. Our stay at Greystone Manor was a "Somewhere in Time" experience. The premises and interior of the manor and the carriage house were meticulously decorated and well maintained. The collage of flowers, gardens and flowing fountains were breathtaking. The crystal clear pool and jacuzzi were surrounded by a multitude of colorful bushes, plants, and trees with strolling walking paths that transcended one into a peaceful and tranquil place. Breakfast was bountiful, cooked to order, and pleasantly served by our host and hostess. Weather permitting, you could enjoy your breakfast sitting outside on the picturesque garden patio, with an occasional friendly greeting from "Max" the cat. The host and hostess provide a supply of pamphlets and menus from the local points of interest and restaurants. A refrigerator, ice machine, and other comforts are readily available. When my husband and I checked out, we felt we had left behind a small oasis of paradise. We highly recommend the Greystone Manor B & B for those who savor a peaceful romantic getaway. My husband and I spent our second 3-day get-away here recently. We were charmed by the lush gardens (the pictures don't do justice to the actual beauty)and warmed by the hospitality. The dining gift cards are definitely a plus, the restaurants were ones we would return to as well. Thanks - again! We'll be back.

We took 19 people to stay here, it was the only place availible that could house us all. It was so very beautiful and the owners were really nice. The food was just fabulous. I can't say enough good things about this place. Each and everyone of us said how much we enjoyed our stay, and plan to stay again in the future. My husband and I just spent a wonderful long weekend in Bird In Hand, PA. When you can't find any fault with your accommodations away from home, that is a place you want to return to time and time again. Greystone Manor B&B is just such a place. Beautiful, peaceful setting but convenient to all things "Lancaster"; you can’t beat the location. Innkeepers are friendly, informative and set out a delicious breakfast spread plus hot entre! They have created and maintain a safe, restful, home like atmosphere. Prices are competitive and fair depending on the room you select. From 2 very happy customers we give it A+++.

Our first visit to the Greystone Manor was 7.9.09. We were quite surpirised at all of the beautiful landscaping and relaxing music at the pool (Yanni?). Breakfast was delicious. We are returning in Sept. and made sure we booked a queen size bed (none were available for this trip). The gift certificates for lunch or dinner were definitely a bonus.

My sister and I stayed at the Greystone for two nights. The innkeepers were busy but very nice. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. What I loved most was the gardens. I loved sitting outside for breakfast listening to the beautiful music playing and looking over the colorful, immaculate gardens. My only regret is I left my pillows there.

The gardens surrounding the beautiful victorian mansion are absolutely breathtaking. This was my first time I stayed in a B&B as I never was too sure about the privacy and friendliness in one. My grandaughter and I absolutely loved the experience, enjoyed visiting with the others at breakfast and at the pool. The owners were very informative of events, places and directions, this all made the getaway more enjoyable. Victoria and I are looking forward to another visit to Greystone and the Lancaster area.

The gardens are the first thing that impressed us so beautiful and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were spotless and very refreshing, unfortunately we got to use little due to rain storms, but the innkeepers can not control the weather. Breakfast was delicious and so bountiful-lots of fresh local goodies from fruit to cinnamon buns. The innkeepers went above and beyond the call of duty helping us by using there laptop and cell phone. We would highly recommend this B&B!

We learned of the B & B on the Sight and Sound Theater website after signing up for "In The Beginning." Our first words as we pulled into the driveway were, "Wow!" Magnificant building and beautiful grounds. The wife and I sat outside around the garden areas for most of the time amazed at the landscaping and variety of plants and flowers. A delicious supper part of the package and a scrumptous breakfast in the dining room. I inspect B & Bs in the south for an insurance company and found Greystone to be one of the most well kept and cared for of any I've visited...beautiful inside and outside with a great value for the price paid...one to which I would return without a doubt. In future planning we will definitely plan another stay.

We had a Fantastic time. My husband & I went with my husbands sister.We both got the 249.00 special. This was an awesome deal. the Inn was so beautiful. Everything was so neat and clean. Angela, her husband and children all made us feel right at home. The gardens were breath taking. Everything on the property in & out were so well maintained. They take such pride in everything they do.The breakfast both days was outstanding. We had never stayed at a B&B.All the stories about privacy ,food,and accomodations that I have heard over the years are gone now that I have experienced what one is all about,at least here anyway.I had stayed in the area many times before ,but was ready for a change.The grounds were beautiful and picturesque,the room was clean and had everything that I needed.If it was not available it was only a request away.Angela made us feel right at home here.Her breakfasts were more than I expected with variety as well.A homey feeling where I never felt that I was just a room mumber.Greystones' close proximity to everything in the Lancaster ,Bird in Hand and Intercourse area was also a factor.A very relaxed stay to say the least where breakfast conversations were about the area,tips on destinations and info about things in general that were helpful in our days planning.The value was the biggest surprise of all.I had spent much more in hotels and inns and cannot remember anything about them.Here now I have had a stay that I can say was one of my new favorite places. The grounds are magnificient with waterfalls, ponds, and flowers. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious with some homemade delights! The staff was helpful and animated in discussions about the area and their B & B. They were running a special that included a wine tasting and dinner coupons, as well as an Amish buggy ride. We thought the value was super!! We had a marvelous time. The room we had was in the carriage house and was nice but needed a full length mirror somewhere and there were curtains on order for our room, so there weren't any but the blinds were fine. The bed treatments, wallpaper and rugs were not well color coordinated in our room but everything was clean and presentable. We were able to see a couple of the rooms in the main house and they are outstanding! This is a very nice B & B!

When calling to make reservations, I asked, "Will we have our privacy?" Angela said, "Yes, and you can enjoy our gardens." I thought it would be a simple colonial style house with a pretty yard. As we approached the drive and saw the entrance, both my husband and I took in a pleasured breath and exclaimed, "Oooo!" And it wasn't just a beautiful place. We stepped in and were hospitably shown around the lovely living area, snack area and dining room. The room and private bath we were given was tastefully done, and we DID have privacy. Angela served us a yummy breakfast, and it was delightful getting to know some of the other guests. (I had been concerned about privacy, but after introducing myself to a few of the people, I was rewarded with warmth and new relationships.) When it stopped raining, I got my book, went to the gazebo and totally relaxed in that paradise.

My husband and I stayed both in the main inn and in the carriage house. We booked the 2 night package with the dinners/breakfast included and the Amish buggy ride (nice ride & a little insight into the Amish) and then we returned for a single night stay. Both rooms were very different, but both very nice! The whole inn was immaculate, the setting/grounds were lovely and innkeeper Angela and her Dad were very personable, eager to please and helpful with our navigating around the area. My husband & I look forward to spending time there, again! The Greystone Manor experience (and their home made crumb cake) were a "piece of heaven" for an affordable price!

This was my first visit to a B&B and I thoroughly enjoyed my all too brief stay. The Innkeepers were hospitable and helpful. They gave me a great recommendation for a place to have dinner. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The grounds were beautiful and abutted an Amish farm. I would love to see it later in the spring. The food was plentiful and adequate but a little disappointing as nothing was homemade. I would definitely recommend this B&B to my friends and would consider staying there again myself.

Enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again, but noise was an issue for us. Was surprised that no reviews ever mentioned the traffic noise from the road in front of the house. Kept us awake... Entry door downstairs also slams very loudly - since people don't think about how loud it is and hold it so it doesn't slam, suggest seeing if there is a way to have door close as quietly as possible. Also, the breakfast music is louder in the room at the top of the stairs than it is in the dining room. Between the road noise, door slamming and loud music at 7AM, didn't get as much sleep as needed. Again, would stay again. Very clean and enjoyed hospitality of Angela and Wade.

My husband and I recently stayed at this wonderful Bed & Breakfast. We took advantage of the 2-night package deal that included a very relaxing Amish buggy ride and dinner certificates for each night of our stay. We were greeted by a very knowledgeable Innkeeper, Angela and were given a tour around the manor on our way to our very nice sized Victorian room. Each morning we were greeted at breakfast by the Innkeepers and treated to an amazing breakfast that was cooked to order for each guest. Guests were all sitting around talking about their day’s plans and getting recommendations from Angela on where they should visit. I especially enjoyed my conversations with her about her children and their life at the Manor. Angela recommended the places that we chose to use our dinner certificates at (Dienners & Molly’s Pub) and we were NOT disappointed. The food was very good and the food on the buffet at Dienners was as homemade as it gets. This B&B is located right in the heart of Bird-n-Hand and is within walking distance of the Farmer’s Market and wonderful bakery’s as well as many little craft and quilt shops. We will be returning this summer and bringing our 11 year old along this time!!! I can’t wait to see the beautiful flowers that so many have spoken about and hang out by the pool. We visit the area several times a year and have stayed in various hotels, B&B's and local resorts over the years. Far and away our experience at the Greystone Manor was the most pleasant, hospitable and welcoming to date. We visited during the MLK long weekend as a part Winter get away and Anniversary celebration. Our room was in the main part of the inn and was both spacious as well as tastefully decorated for the period of the home (Victorian). Most all amenities were provided in a clean, quiet and intimate atmosphere. The Breakfast spread was generous, delicious and prepared to taste. The Innkeepers were attentive to any special dietary needs of guests. We enjoyed sharing local knowledge and experiences with the hosts and the Innkeepers were most gracious in accomodating requests for information and making inquiries / calls on behalf of guest interests and needs. Our only regret was that our visit was during the Winter when the gardens, pool and water features weren't in season. We will return over the Spring / Summer or Fall, however, to take advantage of these features. We found our overall experience well above expectations and felt we received great value for the rates charged.

We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this place is. We have only stayed at a bed and breakfast one other time and we were unsure of whether to do this again or not. But when we opened the door of the mansion and saw the beauty of this place and talked to the owner, we were sure we made the right choice. Definitely we will be going back. The family that owns this mansion is a young family that really cares about the people that stay there. The food is great and they accomodated us in every way. They gave us vouchers for things to do and also a voucher for a dinner in town. Greystone Manor will never be a disappointment to anyone. Joyce and Ivan Wilson

4 of us visited Greystone Manor with an 18 month old. It was all that we expected and more. The rooms were clean, large, very modern bathrooms, wonderfully furnished and decorated. The Manor itself is beautiful, wonderful sitting room, very nice dining room with comfortable furniture. The ice machine, microwave and little fridge for the guests to use is a convenient touch. The grounds are very well landscaped with picnic tables to sit at to enjoy the view. The children's playstation with swings and slides were wonderful for us as the little one spent some time outside playing instead of just shopping with the adults. We would definitely stay at Greystone Manor again but next time in the summer to take advantage of the pool. The hosts are friendly, attentive, and always there to assist if needed. Their children are beautiful. I would recommend Greystone Manor to anyone visiting Lancaster County.

This was absolutley the cleanest place we ever stayed in. We were only there for one night and stayed in a room in the carriage house. It was comfortable, quiet, affordable, and exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very gracious and accomodating and the breakfast was excellent. I even purchased a gift card for my son's birthday. Thanks for a wonderful time, next time around we're going to stay in the main house!

Envision a place of sernity where you can meditate with flowing fountains and brilliantly schemed gardens as your backdrop. A place that takes you back in time with its spectacular Victorian eloquence. Imagine a very nice couple waiting to serve you a tasty & warm breakfast each morning, all the while taking care of three lovely very small children. Amazing.
