Just north of historic Honesdale, Pennsylvania, in the beautiful village of Bethany, sits the E. Kellogg Bed & Breakfast. Built in 1815, you’ll enjoy classic comfort and genuine hospitality in a remarkably restored colonial home only two hours from New York City and a few minutes more from Philadelphia. The main house features three bedrooms and two baths. Breakfast is served at your request in the dining room overlooking the village green. When weather permits, you can enjoy breakfast on the three-season sun porch or outside in the patio surrounded by the lush, heritage gardens. Adjacent to the E. Kellogg Bed & Breakfast is the Sitgrave House. This former apothecary shop features three working fireplaces, a private kitchen and dining room, as well as a living room and bathroom. Perfect for when you're looking for privacy and comfort.
A sloping ceiling trails down to two eyebrow windows that overlook the lush gardens and yard. It offers a full-sized bed and a twin bed - perfect for a family with a child. Brush your teeth, wash your face, and make sure the little one does, too.
With a view of our heritage gardens, this serene room offers a comfortable queen-sized brass bed. A cozy love seat is the perfect place to unwind with your favorite book. Airy and tranquil with the first morning light.
A former residence, and at one time an apothecary shop for Dr. Roosa, this home is perfect for when you are looking for somewhere private to settle in. On the main floor, you will find a living room, a small kitchen, and dining room. A spiral staircase leads upstairs to a private seating area, bathroom with shower and tub, and a large bedroom with a king-sized bed and ample closet space. The home is wi-fi accessible and offers three working brick fireplaces.

My family and I took over the E. Kellogg B&B for several days in June for a family reunion (some others in the family stayed in a B&B a few houses away). Kathy was most gracious and helpful in our plans. All of us got together for dinner a couple of times at Kathy's. Using her grill, the kitchen and some utensils of her own we were able to have a great time and reconnect in a private setting rather than a restaurant. Kathy, thank you so very much! Don't be surprised if some of us show up again!

Whenever I'm in town, I purposely stay at Kathy Schloesser's E. Kellogg B&B. In April, 2013, I stayed in the Ladd Room for a week and indulged in the comfort and serenity this B&B offers. Kathy is a great proprietor, serves wholesome, big breakfasts that are made to order, and is a lively conversationalist. Great place to stay!

My husband and I had a simply wonderful time at the E. Kellogg B&B last weekend. Kathy made every effort to provide us with delicious foods and beverages, a history of the house, places we might like to visit during our stay in Honesdale and much more. We're looking forward to returning for more relaxation and pampering. Jeannie and Ken

On a spur of the moment three of us decided to get away for a weekend. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Kathy, who made us feel right at home. She gave us some ideas about what was going on in the area, especially what was not especially noted in tourist literature. We followed her advice, and had dinner in a wonderful place which is also an art gallery. Breakfast on Sunday could not be beat. I only wish we could have stayed longer, but I will be back.

Our recent stay was wonderful! What a relaxing find- just the get-away we needed from the pace of everyday life. Kathy does everything she can to make her guests feel "at home". We will plan yet another trip in the spring.
