The Amethyst is the standard by which my wife and I judge every other inn or B&B by. They are the best.

Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Room was perfect and the extra touches - truffles and a bottle of bubbly - were appreciated! The Jacuzzi tub for two and the fireplace made for the perfect romantic setting!! Would definitely recommend friends to stay here when passing through the area.
Thank you for your lovely review! We are so glad that you stayed with us for your romantic getaway and that the atmosphere at the Amethyst Inn was just right! We look forward to having you stay with us again in the future!

My husband and I have a Christmas Tree Farm so needless to say after Christmas we need a R&R, what better than a B&B!!! Amethyst Inn fit the bill, relaxing tub, great shower, incredible bed. Host are the best, they have a woman working for them her name is Liz, she is incredible, she gave us such a warm welcome, just a very nice person, and she is also the chef, and yes the breakfast was great. We are looking forward to returning soon. Lee and Dave

We had a lovely and romantic long weekend. The breakfasts were out of this world, filling and exceptional. Our room had a jacuzzi bathtub which we took advantage of (along with the sherry that was in our room), and a massage shower that we also enjoyed. The sugar freak in me enjoyed the candy and goodies in the dining room that were plentiful and refilled. We could partake of tea or coffee right outside our room at any time. Every day the bed was made and a souvenir was left for us - the dog shaped creamer will be used and enjoyed for a long time!

I am a Ph.D. student and my boyfriend works in food service-- we are very busy people with limited incomes, and hadn't had a proper vacation in 2 years. When we found ourselves with some unexpected time off, we decided to take a spontaneous mini-vacation, and we chose the Amethyst Inn. We stayed in the Amber room (which, yes, is located on the ground floor, right next to the dining room). The room was so beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the fireplace, massage chair and shower, and whirlpool tub were all WONDERFUL! The location of the room was a non-issue for us-- we had plenty of privacy! We especially appreciated the chocolates left on the bed, the cake stand in the dining room filled with lemon squares, truffles, and snickers brownies, and the coffee and hot chocolate station right outside our room. Breakfast was delicious and substantial, and the folks running the place were so kind. They even sent us home with a bag of local treats to enjoy during our drive! This place is a real gem (get it! hahaha) and we would be lucky to stay here again! Thanks for the relaxing vacation, Amethyst Inn!
