Since 1984 our family’s goal has been to achieve excellence in accommodation and service. From our humble beginnings, we have continuously worked to give guests from North America and abroad a sense of comfort, quality and belonging.

For twenty-five years the Barachois Inn has operated as a family business and we are proud of this accomplishment. We hope that our past reputation for personalized service and our commitment to quality perceives us. Our family business has received numerous awards over the years due to our commitment to quality service and accommodation. The inn is listed with Frommer’s as “An inn with a country flavor in a first class setting”. We have also been featured in Travel Holiday, “This eight room inn is pleasingly low on ribbons and straw hats, and high on art.” We have also been highlighted on the Canadian televison series Discovering Great Towns the name of the series speaks for itself.

The Barachois Inn has also received awards in tourism and heritage. The Tourism Industry Association of P.E.I. - Quality of Excellence Award and the Lieutenant Governor’s Award. As well as numerous architectural and preservation awards, we have been recognized over the years for our dedication within the tourism industry as well as our achievements in the field of Island heritage.

Our family was born and raised on Prince Edward Island. We have an intimate knowledge and a feel for the Island at its best. Your vacation is our priority. Directions to property:
Directions from the Confederation Bridge to the Barachois Inn

After crossing the bridge, you will automatically be on Rte #1. Please follow for 2-3 minutes until you see an exit for the town of Summerside, Rte#1A. Please take this exit and drive for another 5 to 10 minutes.

From Rte#1A, please turn right onto Rte#225 look for the town of Kinkora or Shamrock. Follow Rte#225 for 15 to 20 minutes.

After Rte#225, please turn left onto Rte#13. Look for the town of Hunter River or Cavendish.

Once in Hunter River, go directly straight through a four-way intersection. You will still be on Rte #13. 1000 feet, past this intersection, there will be a road on the right, Rte#251. Please take this road. Look for the community of Wheatley River.

At the end of Rte#251, turn right by the church onto Rte#224. Please follow for approx. 1 minute.

Off Rte#224, turn to the first left onto Rte#243. This will be the route that will take you directly to the Barachois Inn. Follow Rte#243 to a four-way intersection. Go directly straight to the top of the hill. We are across the street form the St. Augustine Church. It is a large white church that can be seen for miles.

Directions from airport:
Approximate total driving time from Charlottetown Airport to the Barachois Inn in Rustico is approximately 20 minutes.(maximum)* When leaving the airport turn right on to Rte #15, heading North. Follow Rte# 15 for approximately 15 minutes until you enter the community of Brackley Beach. At this community you will turn left onto Rte# 6 off of Rte# 15. A large white lighthouse will be at the corner of this intersection. Another good landmark to look for! Keep on Rte# 6, otherwise known as the Rustico Road, by turning to your right at the Oyster Bed Bridge four-way intersection. By staying on Rte# 6, you will now be entering the community of Rustico. When you see a store/gas station by the name of Gallant’s on your left, you will be at another four-way intersection. Please turn to the right at this intersection onto Rte# 243 or otherwise known as the Church Road. We are located at the top of the hill directly across from the St. Augustine Church.

Deposit amount required (A deposit of fifty percent confirms a reservation (Minimum deposit one night's stay). Full payment for the dates reserved is due fifteen days before arrival.)

Cancellations:
Because of our size, cancellations affect us significantly. Therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. We ask that all guests be sure of travel plans before booking. We realize that situations may arise necessitating cancellation, however, we must maintain our business policy due to a limited season and high accommodation demand. Notice of cancellation of sixty days for stays during June through October; thirty days at all other times will result in full refund of prepayment less one hundred dollars administrative fee. After the prescribed notices for cancellatons,listed above, have expired, prepayments cannot be refunded regardless of reason for non-arrival or early departure. To prevent loss of moneys, we suggest travel and cancellation insurance coverage.
