BedandBreakfast.com Pancakes With Personality National Contest
BedandBreakfast.com, the largest online B&B directory and reservation network worldwide, conducted a nationwide search for the best pancake recipe. More than 100 recipes were submitted from innkeepers from coast to coast in the BedandBreakfast.com Pancakes with Personality Contest.
After BedandBreakfast.com staff narrowed the field down to 12 honorable mentions and 10 semi-finalists, the two finalists went spatula to spatula on January 4, 2008, in the final competition for the best pancake recipe, and Joanne Nichols of the Arbor Inn B&B in Rye, NH, was named the winner. Flipping off against fellow-finalist Cyndi Cobb of the Colby Hill Inn in Henniker, NH, Nichols wowed the judges with her Lemon Buttermilk Ricotta Cheese Pancakes with fresh berries and sweet lemon sauce.
