"Spent a weekend here with a dear friend, and could not have been more pleased! Bob & Eva were so very helpful and friendly! Eva is, and I assure you I have some experience in the field, truly an excellent cook. Another reviewer here said "Breakfast is like being a part of a Southern Living article" and I could not agree more! And there was always some kind of homemade treat in the "snack nook" by the back stairs (where guests can help themselves to tea, coffee, pretzels, chips, etc., with port & wine in the evening.) Eva even sent cake with us when we left. Our room was comfortable, and I slept very soundly, more so than at home, in fact. The house was grand, and I especially admired the antiques that filled the house. A pretty fringed chair in the boudoir, sterling and china in the curio, an ivory-framed miniature in the front hall... Oh, and the stained glass windows over the fireplace and on the stairs- gorgeous. Our room had a huge flat screen TV - not that we turned it on more than once! - they are upgrading the TVs in all the rooms. During our stay, there was an artist working on a mural stretching from the third floor down the back stairs, very pretty. They really should post more photos. "
