The James Wylie House is located in the village of White Sulphur Springs at the base of the Allegheny Mountains. Built in 1819 for Greenbrier poineer, Richard Dickson, the property has evolved from a working farm of over 1300 acres to a boarding house. Fully restored and placed on the National Registry of Historic homes in 1990, the B&B continues its long history of hosting travelers. Come join us on the porch for a lemonade and some fresh mountain air.

The Red Lantern Inn is a 100 year old building in downtown Clifton Forge that has been totally renovated into casual overnight accomodation. In addition to the 7 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths, guests will share several common areas - living room with cable TV, fully stocked kitchen with coffee available, laundry facilities, glassed in year round porch and a media room with big screen cable TV and WiFi. Guests like the openness and “homey” atmosphere. New pictures of the shared spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms have been added to the web site. Even though we don’t provide meals, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are always available and can either be brewed or made by the cup. The Inn can be reserved by individual rooms, suite of two rooms or the entire Inn. Special prices are offered for reservations of more than two rooms or for the entire building. The Red Lantern Inn is a great place for family reunions, class reunions, wedding parties and guests. James Laing, a successful coal mine owner, built this stately home in 1904. This lovely three-story stone house features eight bedrooms and six "tigered" oak fireplaces and is listed on the National Historic Register. Mr. Laing developed a friendship with Andrew Carnegie of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was instrumental in securing funds for Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg. Located only one block from the Laing House, Carnegie Hall is an important cultural arts center for Greenbrier County and surrounding communities.
