After riding the C&O trail in 2013, my three brothers and I wanted to finish the trail from Cumberland, Md to Pittsburgh, Pa. This time we took two nephews and a family friend along with us. It is not easy for seven guys to find a B&B that has enough room for all seven of us to get our own bed, but this B&B did it comfortably. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, but the best part of the night was the incredible dinner Chef Rob and Marylou fixed for us. We first had cocktails on the patio followed by a delicious dinner. There is nowhere to buy wine in town but Rob and Marylou picked it up for us ahead of time for us. The two of them were just amazing!! The Bright Morning was the highlight of both our bike trips from D.C. To Pittsburgh.

While biking the Great Allegheny Passage, we stayed at 4 B&B's and this was by far my favorite. MaryLou is a gracious hostess. The home is located right on the trail and was a very pleasant way to spend our last night.

My friends and I were looking for a place to relax and enjoy each other's company for an evening. We found just what we wre looking for at Bright Morning Bed and Breakfast. Mary Lou greeted us and gave us the run of the house. We felt very welcome in the clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. The decor was warm, inviting and beautifully appointed. We didn't want to leave! The beds were cozy, and breakfast in the morning was excellent with home-made muffins and a fruit salad as well as yogurt and other goodies. Thanks Mary Lou and Rob for your hospitality. We plan on returning.

Andrea and I showed up without reservations and Rob was glad to have us stay the night. It was our last night on the GAP Trail after a week of biking the C & O Towpath and GAP Trail. Very nice, clean, friendly and good breakfast! Thanks Rob and Mary Lou. From Florida.
