The Victorian Charm Inn

The Victorian Charm Inn is a beautiful, cozy bed and breakfast. I am normally not a fan of Victorian style, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was elegant without feeling stuffy and old. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The owners and staff were perfectly friendly without being intrusive. Breakfast was wonderful. The inn has a very warm and welcoming, homey feel to it. I would definitely recommend it and I would go back there myself. Great prices, cheaper than nearby hotels.

We stayed here on a long visit with family and found the care and service to be lovely. We are returning this holiday season and are looking forward to the visit!

I have been visiting the Towanda area for over 10 years on business and I've always stayed at the local chain hotel. I went on the chains website and there were no rooms. I called every place I could find on the internet to no avail. I called my travel agent on Monday morning and she found The Victorian Charm Inn. I spend about 250 nights a year in hotels and really wasn't at all thrilled about a bed and breakfast. I am used to full service hotels. When I arrived Jack the proprietor met me at the door to check me in. I found out that my travel agent had only booked me i for one night and they were sold out the next night. Jack told me they had another reservation but they had not shown up yet and left no number. I went to dinner, of which there are more choices on this side of the river, and when I returned Jack told me I was in luck, the other guests had not shown up and they could accommodate me. You see they have recently discovered natural gas deposits in the area and most of the traditional hotels and motels are sold out through the end of 2010! So to say finding a room here is not at all easy is an understatement. My room was Alice's room in the front of the house. Even though it was out front it was quiet. I guess they built houses more solidly in 1897 than they do today. The room was clean and comfortable with a private bath. Not to mention much cheaper than the local chain. The whole house is impeccably clean and tastefully decorated with period pieces and other antiques that make it look like you have been invited into a family's home than any place I've ever stayed. Including people's homes. The architecture is classic turn of the century Victorian done to a very high standard. I may not change all of my stays to Bed and Breakfasts but I definitely will be staying at The Victorian Charm Inn the next time my travels take me near Towanda.

I have been coming to this B&B since the summer of 1964! It was great then as children, lots of nooks & crannies for us kids to poke around in. Our family was just moving into town. I feel like I have come home every time I stay there. (I used to live just down the street) More recently I was there in July 2003 and again this past July 2008. The new owners have done outstanding work in renovating & refurbishing the Inn since my visit 5 years ago, both inside and out! Several friends of mine that live in Towanda raved about the improvements that have been made. I have stayed in several rooms over the years and each one has it's own character. There were small children staying there on my most recent visit, but I didn't hear them from my room-the walls are NOT paper thin! I am looking forward to my next visit! Breakfast was delicious and something different was served every day. I enjoyed visiting with other guests at breakfast. When no other guests were there, the host visited with me over my meal. They are friendly and very helpful. Some of my friends toured the Inn while I was staying there and now plan to visit for a weekend get-away. If you are travelling to this area, you should definitely consider staying here!

We had a wonderful stay. My husband and I have stayed at numerous Inns, this was the best. The hosts made you feel at home. They are friendly and very accommodating. The Inn is clean and beautiful filled with "victorian charm". I loved waking up to the smell of coffee! We will be back. We visited 04/08

I loved my stay. The house is done absolutely beautiful. Victorian pieces surround you and take you back in time. What a super escape from everyday pressures. The hosts were fabulous. I came here because of work but will return for pleasure.

The Victorian Charm Inn is one of the most beautiful places i have had the pleasure of staying in. I am in love with the friendly service and comfortable accomadations! keep up the good work!
