Extremely clean and roomy. Centrally located. We were there at Christmas and this area is close to all of the Lancaster area Christmas festivities. Great weekend!

My wife and I had a great time at the inn. The winery is very convenient and the town is very cute. And the innkeeper was very friendly.
Thank you for your kind review! I know that choosing a B&B was a bit out of your "comfort zone" and I hope your stay with us won you over to try the B&B experience more in the future. Meanwhile, when your travels bring you back to the area, we'd love to have you stay with us again!

Perfect for my friends and me for our overnight stay. Close to everything. Loved the wine tasting right on the property. We especially enjoyed the "living area" where we watched TV, drank some wine and played cards after a long day of everything else!
Thank you for offering a review about your stay at our Inn. We're glad your friends ' getaway was a good time, and glad you found our Gathering Room to be perfect for the chance to relax and unwind after a long day out and about. We'd welcome the opportunity to be your host for a future getaway!

Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.
The best compliment we could receive is when our guests tell us they would recommend us to others! Thank you for that compliment and for letting us know you had such a positive experience with us that you'd put your reputation behind referring others!

We had a fabulous stay at the Strasburg Village Inn. A quaint little town! Everyone was so friendly & helpful! We loved it!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your kind words and high ratings. Staying in a small town that's still close to everything you want to see and do allows you to blend in with the locals and experience how they treat each other. Strasburg is proud as a community to retain its friendliness and unique charm.. We hope you'll visit us again!

Would have been a better vlaue if breakfast hours were longer (instead of being just 1 hour) and that there was a choice in menu (each day had a set menu). This was a chnage from the last time we stayed.
We appreciate the opportunity to hear some of the things that made your stay with us less than "stellar". The truth is, a large number of B&B properties have a set time when guests are expected to be seated around the table for breakfast, and whatever has been prepared for that day's breakfast is served family-style. Our breakfast is unique in that we allow our guest a full hour in which to arrive for breakfast, cook our guests' hot entrée only AFTER they have arrived for breakfast, and don't force them to sit with other guests (not everyone is a morning person, after all!) When the Creamery, who provides our guests with breakfast, was open to the public, there was a menu so that their paying customers had options. Now, we still provide a different hot entrée each day of the week, but are able to include fuller breakfasts and special treats like omelets that could not be provided then. I'm certainly sorry that these changes made you feel that you didn't receive as much value as you expected. Most of our guests are more than happy with our entrée choices, and because we don't pre-cook them, we're able to cater to any dietary restrictions at the time guests arrive to breakfast. And there will always be early risers who would like breakfast to start earlier and folks who want to sleep in and want breakfast to be later. The hour we offer is set to accommodate the majority and to allow the staff to focus on our guests before they open the doors to their own customers. We hope these changes won't keep you from visiting us in the future.

We enjoyed our stay here. From our first walk in the door and the greeting and personal service, to our coffee in the communal area. The location was great, walking distance to some shops and the winery, short drive to other great places. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely come back again.
Thank you for your very kind and generous review! We're always thrilled to know that guest begin that "warm and cozy" feeling from their initial encounter with our property and our staff. We want our guests to know that we're glad you chose us as your lodging experience in this area! We'll keep the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, and the assortment of Keurig coffee flavors stocked for your next visit. Come and see us again soon!

This is our second visit in 15 years- so there has been some remodeling- and well we loved the shower stall. I was fantasitc-- nothing like rain head, 2 jets and a handheld head to make you feel so good. Breakfast has changed - instead of ordering off a menu- the menu is set everyday- which is traditional for B&B. We just love this place and look forward to next visit
We appreciate you taking the time to review your recent experience here. I can tell by your rave reviews of the shower stall that you stayed in our deluxe master suite. That renovation took place in early 2013 and our guests who discover it tend to want to always return to that room (not that we blame them!). It was also in early 2013 that we did away with the breakfast menu because we opted not to open the Creamery for public breakfast guests. This allows the staff to be focused on the Inn guests without being distracted by outside customers. And we set up what breakfast would be each morning so that we could make sure guests staying multiple nights would get a variety to the menu. Each entrée is still cooked fresh when each guest arrives for breakfast. We hope you'll come back and visit us again soon.

This was our first stay at the Strasburg Village Inn. The innkeeper was very pleasant and answered all our questions. She made us feel right at home. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The inn was very quiet like being at home. Breakfast at the Creamery next door was good. We would definitely come back again.
Thank you for your kind words about your recent stay with us here at the Inn! We're honored that you felt right 'at home' with us while you were here. I'll let the staff next door at the Creamery know that you enjoyed your breakfast. We look forward to having you return to visit us again!

Convenient to everything. Strasburg has so much and easy access to everything else in the area. Have stayed here multiple times.
Thank you for spreading the word to potential other guests how convenient the charming town of Strasburg is to many of Lancaster County's attractions, shopping venues and eateries. Thank you as well for being a loyal, repeat guest of the Inn. We are privileged to continue to earn your business!

A very delightful Victorian home with a nostalgic and "homey" atmosphere. This Bed and Breaksfast was a great place to spend a weekend to relax and enjoy while being away from home. The food was great and Jody was a real pleasure to meet and talk with. Would highly recommend to family and friends. Rose Fisher (Ohio)
Dear Rose, Thank you for your kind words! We find that the nostalgic ambiance in our Inn never gets tiring, and we want our guests to get that "homey" feeling while visiting us. We enjoying getting to know our guests and for the opportunities we have to chat with them. We are honored that you would recommend us to your family and friends, and hope we'll also be your 'go to' whenever your travels bring you back to this area.

Old style, very well furnished room, very clean, romantic.
Thank you for your review! While the Inn is family-friendly, it is mostly couples who choose to stay with us, and we are glad we felt romantic in your eyes and that you apparently had a chance to both relax and reconnect while you stayed with us. We hope you'll think of us again when you're looking for a romantic retreat!

We stayed at this charming Inn for a couple nights and we enjoyed it very much. The staff members are warm, helpful and welcoming. The room and facility are impeccably clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic! We felt like it was home away from home. We're glad that we stayed here rather than staying in a large hotel chain. I would definitely go back.
Thank you for the kind review about your recent stay with us!! Although B & Bs are all unique, we all strive to provide our guests with a cozy, warm atmosphere that cookie-cutter hotel chains can't offer. Warm, helpful and welcoming are experiences we try to offer to each of our guests, and I'm glad to know we succeeded! We would be honored to have you visit us again if your travels bring you back to the area!

Jody always makes you feel welcome, Ellen keeps your room clean and ready for you, this charming room (#2) has a private porch which made an even more relaxing evening on a summer night. It also offers a nice sitting area inside the room as well. Relaxing as usual. I did not partake of the breakfast this trip, so cannot rate it. The inn is always warm and inviting.
Thank you for taking the time to share a review of your recent stay with us in our room #2. The private porch is unique to that room and is a wonderful place to unwind with a cup of coffee, some ice cream from the Creamery next door, or a glass of wine (brought with you our purchased from the winery here on our property. We are very pleased with the job our housekeeper, Ellen, does for our guests and I'm glad you appreciate her efforts as well. I'm sorry you missed out on enjoying our morning breakfast held in the Creamery, but hope you'll return and be able to join us for breakfast in the future.

A very nice stay while we visited the Sound and Sight Theater. Loved the attached country store and creamery. Breakfast also served there...very nice.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your visit with us and for your kind words. We're glad you enjoyed the convenience of our attachment to the Country Store and Creamery and that you enjoyed the breakfast served by their staff. A lot of our guests tell us how much then appreciate the separate seating our breakfast provides, rather than having to be sociable with other guests around a large table. We hop you will consider us again when your travels bring you back to the area!

We enjoyed our stay with college friends one weekend. We received a warm greeting when we arrived. Our room was cozy but more than sufficient and decorated with classic country style. We will definitely be back.
Thank you for your kind review. The word cozy aptly describes the ambiance we strive for; even though the building sits right on the square of town, we want out guests to feel tucked away. Many guests tell us that their stay with us brings back fond memories of visiting "grandma's house", which is a warm and cozy memory for many of us. We look forward to having you come visit us again!

I chose the Strasburg Village Inn because I thought it would be convenient. It certainly was..... most everything we wanted to see or do was within 10 - 15 minutes. The room was clean, the service friendly, and the breakfasts were tasty and filling. Only 2 downsides. Although there were hot coffee and tea selections throughout the day there was nothing cold to drink unless you brought it in yourself. Also, if you like it quiet this may not be the place. It is situated on the corner of a busy intersection with constant traffic noise until 10:30 or 11:00 at night, and it picks back up about 6:00 in the morning. Overall we were very happy at the Inn and if these 2 things aren't an issue for you, I would heartily recommend it.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your recent experience here at our Inn. All of our marketing and advertising mentions that we are on the square of a town, and our website even gives the words "Street Side" in the description of those rooms that face the road. And yes, while you will hear traffic into the late evening and early in the morning, part of the reason it is so noticeable is because it's not the constant drone of traffic you here constantly from a hotel located along a busy highway. We're glad that those things we can control - cleanliness, friendliness and a filling hot breakfast - were all positive experiences during your stay with us. We welcome your return visit whenever you're in the area.

A relaxed stay in Strasburg, away from the busy places. But still nearby all we wanted to see and do. My family was surprised that we only had to drive short distances to all the places we wanted to visit. Breakfast is different every day and served in the creamery next door, before it opens for the general public. The rooms are clean and very nice decorated and so are the bathrooms. This was the second visit for my husband and daughter and the first for my mom, our son and daughter in law, but definitely not our last. No Dinning at the B&B, but enough good places to dine, just ask Jody
Thank you for your review of your recent stay here at our Inn. We are always happy when guests enjoy their stay with us so much that they keep returning, and even happier when they bring new folks along with them! Thank you for sharing with your fellow travelers how convenient it is to get around to places from our location. Our most difficult task is trying to get travelers off of Route 30 and find the unique town of Strasburg that is still close, but offers quaint charm and brick-lined sidewalks. We look forward to seeing you again in the future!

I took my husband for his birthday and the Inn was as beautiful as the surrounding area. The staff in both the front desk and next door at he creamery were all extremely friendly and enhanced our stay.
We appreciate you taking the time to review your recent stay with us, and we also appreciate your kind comments about the Inn and our staff. We pride ourselves on being friendly while providing great guest experiences, and it appears we were successful. Thank you! Please come back and visit us again!

This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast. My husband was a skeptic and not comfortable with the idea but gave it a go "this one time". Room 11 was clean, the bed was comfy, and the shower was AWESOME! The innkeeper was warm and friendly. She made us feel right at home immediately. This trip was for only one night. When it were leaving, my husband said the next time we need to make it at least two. Not being sure if he was referring to the Strasburg area in general or specifically the Strasburg Village Inn, I hesitantly asked where we would stay. He quickly replied, "well here of course! In Room 11!" I'm already planning our next visit :)
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent experience with us at the Inn. B&B properties are all unique and individual and we believe that adds to the experience and memories created (rather than 'some' room in 'some' hotel). I'm glad you had a chance to experience the amazing shower in our guest room #11. With its spaciousness and selection of showerheads, most guests who discover that room's amenity want that particular room whenever they stay with us. I'm especially glad that this was a positive first experience for your husband in staying in a B&B, and we're excited that you both want to come back and stay longer the next time! We'll look forward to your next visit with us... and if room #11 is booked, we have other lovely suites that also have extra amenities that you might want to try out. No matter which room you choose, you'll find cleanliness and friendliness throughout your stay.

What a wonderful place.. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The porch was adorned with beautiful flowers as well as rocking chairs to relax and have some ice cream from the creamery. Jody was such a great host. We will definitely be back. Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at our Inn. As a frequent traveler to B&Bs, you understand the special uniqueness of each property and so we're really humbled that you enjoyed our Inn enough to give it a 5-circle rating. Cleanliness and friendliness are our priorities, but having a wonderful porch with wooden rocking chairs and pots overflowing with flowers, and being next to a Creamery offering homemade ice cream also provide extra experiences to our guests. We look forward to being your host whenever you visit the area!

The slope of the upper level floor is the only giveaway that this B&B was an 18th century inn. The room we stayed in (the Yellow Room) had all modern conveniences. Was initially concerned about having a street-side room but this is a very quiet country town at night.
We admit it - we like the little oddities like slightly sloping floors and creaky stairs that give a nod to the uniqueness and age of our building! We appreciate that you found all of the needed amenities that modern travelers want and were able to enjoy the historical aura at the same time. And yes, our town is quiet at night; sometimes this makes the traffic seem louder because it's not a constant hum going by outside the window, but we're certainly glad that you were able to get restful sleep while you stayed with us. Please come back and visit and perhaps explore staying in another of our 10 individually decorated rooms!

What could be better--great location and a winery and icecream parlor on premise!! Great for a Girl's Weekend!!
One of our tag lines is "the town within a town", which gives nod to how many different things are located on our property or within easy walking distance. I'm glad your girl' weekend gave you a chance to explore the ice cream store and the winery! You'll have to come back and visit the bakery and thrift store next time!

Absolutely love this B&B. Quaint house and rooms and our own bathroom. Innkeeper is the best as well as Linda in the Creamery attached for ice cream at night and breakfast in the morning. Love to hear the Amish buggies and the horses clip clopping . So nice to get away from the fast pace of home and just hang out not to mention the winery next door!
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review and for having such glowing comments in it. I hope it shows how much we enjoy having our guests stay with us, and that, plus having ice cream, fudge, baked goods and a winery all right here are the reason(s) we hope our guests will come back and visit us again. We invite you to do just that!

We rented four rooms for a two night weekend stay in May 2014. The reservation process was a bit complicated since the Inn was not open for the season when I tried to reserve. I had to request the reservations, then wait for a confirmation. But all was confirmed within 24 hours. The Inn is delightful and Jody is wonderful. The eight of us made great use of the gathering room. The rooms were all comfortable and pretty. We did run into one problem. One of the rooms would not cool down. We were moved the next morning. But the second room would not cool down! Maintenance was called, and apparently came out. Jody left for the evening feeling all was fixed. Sadly, it was not. After a long day and evening, we came back to a stifling hot room. I blame maintenance for not doing the job right. Linda answered the call I made at 10 that evening and found us a fan for the night. She has an amazing customer service attitude! Our bill was adjusted accordingly. Guess my only comment on this is that the Inn folks are great, the maintenance folks are not. Breakfast in the Creamery was fun each morning and the serving staff were upbeat and friendly. We had fun looking around town. We also went to Bird in Hand and rented scooters to do a self tour of the countryside. Most fun I've had in a long time! The weather was perfect and the scooters were great. I recommend the Fireside Tavern for great food and we saw Moses at Sight and Sound - very enjoyable.
You can't know how sorry we are for the entire fiasco regarding the air conditioning during your stay. I can understand how unhappy you were to find out that maintenance had assured a fix to the problem that wasn't a fix (it was fixed, but then the unit blew the breaker, which we did not know until a technician came on Monday). Despite that situation, it sounds like you and your family had a fabulous time celebrating 60 years of love between your parents, and I'm so glad to know that you enjoyed all of your activities in Lancaster County. We know how lucky we are to have Fireside Tavern in our backyard. Again, I am deeply sorry that the air conditioning was an issue during your stay, but appreciate your kind comments about our staff and will pass the appropriate ones on to Linda. We hope you'd choose us again if you ever return to the area.

We stayed here for our anniversary (Master Deluxe Room 3), and we were delighted with the place and the people. It's not cheap nor should it be. The amenities and location make this an excellent, special occasion destination.
We're always honored to be a part of a special occasion celebration; thank you for that opportunity! We're glad you had a wonderful time staying with us while you celebrated your anniversary. Your room #3 is one that is very popular with guests for its romantic décor. Please know you don't have to wait for another anniversary to come stay with us again!

This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast and I am sold because of the Strasburg Inn. The B&B was accommodating, friendly and clean! Our stay was very pleasant and we have come away with wonderful memories!
We're so glad we were able to make your first B&B experience a positive one, and hope that means you'll look towards this unique lodging type for future travels. Each B&B is unique, but as small properties, are able to offer you warm friendliness and a homey feeling instead of being at a cookie-cutter hotel. We hope you might consider our Inn again if your plans ever return you to our area!

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. Our guests' feedback - positive or negative - is important to us so that we can make certain we are always meeting (and hopefully exceeding!) their expectations. My Wife and I spent March 21 & March 22, 2014 at the Strasburg Village Inn. We always enjoy our visits to the Amish Country and getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We especially enjoyed our first time stay at the Strasburg Village Inn. The rooms were nice and comfortable, staff were extremely nice and made us feel welcome, and the breakfasts were delicious. We will definitely stay again and recommend you to our family and friends.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay with us at our Inn. You've discovered the 'secret' to escape hustle and bustle both by planning a getaway and now, by realizing that you can be just 5 minutes away from an area's prime attractions yet still escape the "hustle and bustle" of a heavily-traveled highway of hotels! Thank you for mentioning that you enjoyed your breakfast. I'll certainly pass that along to the folks who prepared and served it. And we're glad that we succeeded in making you feel welcome! We do enjoy getting to know our guests, and a small property allows us many opportunities to interact with them. We hope you'll make plans to get away again and we'd be honored to have you come back and stay with us!

Spent a lovely night here in March 2014. It is in a charming little area of Strasburg. The place is beautiful. The staff was welcoming and kind. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! We will be going back.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review and for your kind words about your stay with us at the Inn. We're pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay and would visit us again in the future! I did notice, however, that you gave our "cleanliness" only an 'average' score, and I would very much like to know what you found lacking in our cleanliness. We pride ourselves in the cleanliness of our rooms, and if there is an area that needs addressed, we'd like the opportunity to learn what it is so that we can correct it. Please feel free to call or email me to address those concerns. Again, thank you for your review and we look forward to being your hosts in the future.

We had an overnight stay at the Strasburg Village Inn. The room was very quaint and comfortable. We had already paid for our room so the inn keeper left our keys in a designated spot with a personal note from her. Nice touch. It was noted that breakfast would be served between 8:30 and 9:30. We made it down at 9:00 and they had already cleaned up but happily served us. I would certainly stay with this Inn again.
First, let me apologize for the miscommunication about our breakfast hours. They are always between 8 AM and 9 PM, and I can find where that information might be incorrect? Nonetheless, I'm glad you were able to enjoy your breakfast as part of your stay with us! I'm glad you found your stay quaint and comfortable, and hope that, for your next visit, you might be able to arrive early enough to enjoy our Gathering Room while you're here!

We were in town for a family wedding. The Inn was conveniently located close to our family. Even though we were a late arrival, Jody called us to confirm where everything was and it was simple. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean. We were able to walk to dinner and the smell of homemade belgian waffles the next morning was a lovely surprise. Next time we are in town, we will surely stay here again. Just a note, if your room is facing the street, just remember that farmers and people who work on farms get up really early!! The Thompsons, Macon, Georgia
If you visit our website and look at pictures of the individual rooms, you'll notice that we mention which rooms face a street. We know that some people can sleep with anything going on around them and some people are used to quiet while they are sleeping. Please let us know that you are looking for a non-street-side room for your next visit and we'll be glad to assist you. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay and found everything comfortable. Come back to visit your family often - it would be our honor to be your hosts!

This was our first stay in a Bed and Breakfast so we didn't really know what to expect. But from the moment we walked in and encountered Jody the innkeeper, we were hooked. Everyone was just so helpful and kind. The rooms were all comfortable and comforting and very tastefully decorated. This was the first of many stays at the Strasburg Village Inn. I would happily recommend this bed and breakfast to everyone.
It's such an honor for us that we were your first B&B experience, and we're so very glad it was a positive experience for you! We strive not only to have clean, comfortable rooms but also to create a memorable ambience and atmosphere for our guests, something a large hotel isn't usually able to do. Being centered among and ice cream shop, wine tasting shop and bakery doesn't hurt either! We look forward to the privilege of having you visit us again!

From a big tv down to extra towels just there in the room. It's clean , decorated pretty, and just so much more. A room with a tv coffee tea fudge to have to go and in joy in the sitting room. Please please go and stay there. You are missing out if u don't.
Thank you so kindly for your wonderful review! Reading that you travel quite a bit and then reading that you were very pleased with your stay at our Inn makes us proud in what we attempt to achieve for our guests when they visit us. And, of course, thank you for letting others know that they should come stay with us as well. If you find your way back to our area again, we would consider it a privilege to again be your host!

Everything was wonderful

Everything was exceptional especially the service. Jodi was extremely helpful. We would stay here again.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. I'm so glad you had a positive experience staying with us. Being a small Inn, we get to know our guests and enjoy being able to help them with directions, meal ideas and reservations, and whatever else we can do to create a memorable stay. We hope you will come back and visit us again!

My fiance and I stayed here this past weekend in room # 10. We found our stay to be exceptional. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and kept very clean. The jacuzzi tub was a nice addition to the bathroom and worked very well. The complimentary tea/coffee and fudge in the common room was a perk as well. We made it to breakfast only on Saturday and enjoyed our bacon, eggs, and pancakes. The B&B's proximity to the Creamery and all other attractions was a major plus It seemed like everything was in a 5-10 minute radius. Overall, we would recommend the Strasburg Village Inn.
We appreciate you taking time to share your recent experience here at our Inn. We're always excited to know if we met or exceeded our guests' expectations, and we look at negative feedback as a chance to make changes and improvements. It sounds like you enjoyed your experience (I'm glad you took the time to enjoy the Jacuzzi tub!) and enjoyed the extras like a full hot breakfast and yummy homemade fudge. We hope you'll come back and visit us again (if I remember correctly, the Inn will hold some special memories for the two of you!). Thank you again for your comments.

We stayed for a 3 day holiday weekend and had a great time. The place is great and it is close to all the things that make Lancaster County great.

Our first stay in a B&B and it was awesome. The inn made us feel like a part of a family. Very warm and inviting. Our room was quaint and cozy and very relaxing! I highly recommend a stay at The Strasburg Village Inn, you won't be dissapointed. Brian & Linda Yeager
Dear Brian and Linda, The Inn's motto is "Enter as strangers. Leave as friends." We're thrilled to now not only think of you as friends, but as part of our extended family! Thank you for taking a chance to experience the differences a B&B can offer you over a cookie-cutter chain hotel. Smaller properties are more cozy and staff gets to know their guests better, so that a bond can form. We're glad you had an "awesome" experience with us, and look forward to having you come back to visit us again!

I am not a B&B person. Usually find them disappointing. This one is special. Awesome staff and service at a great facility. Also liked the location.
Wow! To know that the B&B atmosphere and experience aren't what you prefer and to read your positive comments, just wow! Thank you for taking a chance on us and finding out that, unlike cookie-cutter hotel brands, B&Bs are unique experiences. We're so glad this was a great experience for you!

What a fabulous place for me, my mother and sisters to gather together from 4 different states! Finding 2 B&B rooms with 2 beds each is unusual and SVI had them! Jody was extremely accomodating furnishing directions, dinner ideas and a ready smile. The mattresses were great! All rooms are on the second floor but my 85 year old mother managed the stairs just fine. Gathering room is supplied with wine goblets, a cork screw, a Kuerig coffee maker, and fudge from the candy shop next door. It provided a wonderful place for our group to meet and talk as well as a fun place to meet other guests. Breakfast is served in the candy shop cafe and is Amish in nature - eggs, great bacon, pancakses. Sight and Sound Theater is a mile up the road. Strasburg Railraod offers hourly rides on a vintage train pulled by a steam locomotive through Amish Country and was the highlight for us! Wonderful antique shops in old barns are just up the road. Main Street is a joy to walk and features shops and several log cabins. Learned from fellow guests that private tours of Amish Country can be obtained throughthe Mennonite Historical Society and will avail myself of that on my next excursion here. Will definitely come again.

I felt like the Inn was more of a hotel than a B&B. The rooms were clean but very generic. There was nothing to make them stand out.I felt for a B&B the fact that they had an envelope for tips and a price on the paper coaster if you steal it,it would cost you 5.00 or if you would rather buy it in the lobby it would be 2.50 (a paper coaster with the B&B advertisement on it), and the house keeper using the community room to fold laundry all seemed a bit tacky. The lobby area was very small and univiting, the community room was nice enough but there was no place to play the games or do the puzzles that were there for the guest, the manager was nice, but it was obvious she was a manager and not a true Inn keeper. The breakfast was a glorified continental breakfast at best. We have stayed at many B&B's and hotels this was more of a hotel than a B&B.The lacation was nice, the town was awesome, the room was clean and the manger was nice so if you are looking for a nice hotel it is the place to go, if your looking for a warm, welcoming cozy B&B it's not for you.We won't be back. The rates seemed very high for what we received.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our Inn. We recognize that members of the B&B community are very diverse - some are actually an extra guest room in a owner's home, some are very small with just two or three rooms to offer, some like ours are larger and therefore seem to be more commercialized. I'm not sure which room you occupied, but each of our 10 guest rooms is uniquely decorated in Victorian era furnishings; for example, some rooms have canopied beds, many rooms have nostalgic-feeling wallpaper in some or all of the room, each room is furnished in period furniture and we use beautiful tone-on-tone cream-colored floral bedspreads instead of those colored throws in most hotel rooms that are nothing more than decoration. I'm very sad that you weren't able to find any coziness in your stay. Our guests often tell us our décor and personal warmth make them feel cozy like they are visiting "grandma's house", so I'm not certain how your definition of cozy differs. However, I'm glad that you found your room clean and comfortable, and understand that you were looking for a different kind of experience than the one our Inn provided for you. Again, we appreciate your comments and understand that we cannot fulfill every diverse definition of B&B for every guest. We still hope you'll come back to visit the area and perhaps find a different location that more meets your specific criteria.

We appreciate your "5-star" across-the-board rating for your visit here with us at the Inn! We do our best to make sure all of our guests have a great time with us, and we're glad we succeeded in your case! Very clean, comfortable setting, and the breakfast at the shop next door was excellent! Wine store right behind the place is very convenient if you enjoy wine, its in the same parking area. Plenty to see from this location.
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at our Inn. We couldn't agree more that our location is outstanding - with a winery, a bakery, a shabby chic boutique, a creamery/deli/candy kitchen/country store all in our property, as well as quick and easy access to Sight & Sound Theatres, Strasburg Rail Road, and outlet malls and wonderful dining experiences within 5 miles. Cleanliness and guest comfort are important to us and it's good to know that you experienced those things in a positive way. I'm glad the hot breakfast hosted for you by the Creamery was also to your liking. We hope you'll allow us to serve your lodging needs whenever you visit Lancaster County. Thank you for your business!

friendly innkeeper, historic old building, comfortable room, awesome rain shower, relaxing
Ah, another guest who has discovered the recently renovated guest bathroom in our suite #11 with the large, walk-in shower featuring a wall of showerheads and a rain showerhead! The fact that we continue to receive nothing but high praise for this upgraded renovation helps us to convince our owner why we asked him to do it. So thank you for commenting about it! Additionally, thank you for taking the time to share other positive comments about your stay here with us. We know you have many choices for lodging when visiting our area, and appreciate that you chose us. We hope we'll become your "home away from home" whenever you visit the area!

We had a wonderful time. The Inn has a very nice feel to it, people are friendly. Enjoyed the wine tasting shop.
We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us here at the Inn. Having the Country Store & Creamery as well as a winery and bakery all around us certainly makes it nice to sample and taste, as well as purchase, yummy goodies of all kinds without ever leaving our parking lot! We appreciate that you found folks around here friendly - I hope that means all of the employees you encountered as well as the many great businesses and residents who are our neighbors. The quaint charm of the town itself lends itself to friendliness, don't you think? We hope you will honor us with the privilege of being your host whenever your travels bring you back to the area!

Spent our anniversary here and loved it. Very romantic room and the anniversary note waiting for us was a lovely touch! Breakfast was wonderful and very filling. The only complaint we have was that the cleaning staff came into our room without knocking and barged straight past the bedroom before I could say anything and walked into the bathroom while my husband still inside. We still had an hour before our checkout time so I'm not sure what the rush was. We did not have the deadbolt thrown on the door but it was closed and locked so nobody could come in without a key. Bathroom door does not lock. Very embarrassing situation. Would recommend staying, but always keep extra locks on the door thrown as cleaning staff apparently does not knock before entering!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience at our Inn. While your guest room was walked in upon without knocking before you had checked out, it is important to me that, first, I take ownership for that occurring. My error was that I mistakenly thought I had received the keys for your guest room, therefore letting me know it had been vacated, and it was me, not our housekeeper, who then entered the room. Having said that, the room which you were occupying has an outer door which swings towards the bathroom area and, in fact, covered the doorway to the bathroom portion of your guest room. Please be fair in your review about what happened, as we discussed as soon as it happened. Your husband stated to you in from of me that he was stepping out of the bathroom, and he was fully dressed. In fact, I almost pushed the door open into him because he was stepping through the bathroom doorway as I was entering. Having said that, the error was completely mine and I was genuinely embarrassed then, as I am embarrassed now being reminded of it. I apologized repeatedly then for my mistake and again apologize. I am grateful that what could have been an even more embarrassing I didn't happen, and am truly sorry about my error. Again, I am so sorry about this embarrassing incident and am glad that you were able to find good things to say about other aspects of your stay. Please accept my apologies for this portion.

Strasburg Inn is one of those s special places, that once you stayed there, your already thinking of the next visit. Decorated in a Victorian period, it cries peace and tranquility . The manager Jody is eager to help with any questions you have and has great suggestions on places to eat and places to go. I have never met a more kinder manager at any other B&B. I look forward to our next visit.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our Inn. Great location. Central to all the things we like to do. Very relaxing and comfortable Inn.
We're glad you found your stay at our Inn relaxing and comfortable. We're especially glad you found that just a few miles off the major highway, you can find lodging choices that offer you easy access to all of the area's attractions and, at the same time, a change from the cookie-cutter type hotels you find along major roadways. Please come visit us again if you come back to Lancaster County/Strasburg!

Had a relaxing time. Room and gathering area exceptionally clean and quiet. Breakfast was fabulous. Terrific guest services. Highly recommend the Inn.
We appreciate your willingness to take time to write a review about your recent visit with us here at the Inn. Cleanliness and service are our top two priorities when providing lodging for our guests, and I'm happy that you found both to be a wonderful part of your stay with us. Thank you for sharing that you would highly recommend our property to other potential visitors to our area, and we hope you will also choose us again whenever your travels bring you back our way!

The moment we walked into the door we were welcomed. Our room was spacious, clean and very well appointed. The old inn feel made us feel we had stepped back in time. It was nice to be away from the franchise cookie cutter feel. The breakfast at the adjoined country store was very good. Fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast; all well prepared. The staff extremely cheerful. We look forward to staying with them again.
Thank you for your review of your recent experience at our Inn. Your opening sentence brought a smile to my face, because we believe in our mission statement of "Enter as strangers. Leave as friends." We want our guests to feel welcomed in - because we really are glad you're here to visit with us! I also get giddy when someone recognizes how the ambiance changes when you're not in those cookie-cutter properties where one room looks the same as the next, looks the same as the next, etc., and the biggest differences are how far down a hallway the room is and what it's given room number is. Here at the Inn, each of our 10 rooms is uniquely decorated so that, while in the same time period, each room provides a unique visual interest. I'm happy to believe that it sounds like we've converted you into becoming a loyal guest whenever you travel to the Lancaster County area, and we look forward to welcoming you next time, too!

We appreciate you taking the time to share your comments about your recent stay at our Inn. We strive to exceed our guests' expectations for our friendliness and service, and it seems that we were able to do that for you. Thank you for being willing to recommend us to your friends, and we look forward to being their host - as well as yours when you return to the area!

The innkeeper made this stay the most enjoyable part of our trip. She took care of our every need. Was always taking time to be friendly. Location was grrat for access to local attractions. We had higher exepctation of the room accommodations fro the price paid.. The room was small and lacked the historical elegance I guess I exepcted.
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at our Inn. I'm glad we were able to take care of all of your needs during your stay with us. I'm sorry, however, that you weren't as pleased with your room as you could have been. I can't ascertain by your review what guest room you occupied, but I can state that we do have rooms of various sizes and configurations, dependent upon our guest's needs and budget. Also, the rooms are furnished with attention to detail to feel like they are part of the Victorian era while still providing all of the modern conveniences today's travelers expect, such as flat screen TVs with cable, fridges, central heat and air, and wireless internet. Or location on Centre Square in Strasburg defines the types of rooms and furnishings we offer, and I apologize if we did not live up to your expectation of elegance. Nonetheless, I hope the positive things about your stay with us will inspire you to stay with us when you come back to the area.

The folks at the inn were extreamly freindly and helpful!
Having come to the Inn from a 100-room property, I enjoy being able to get to know the guests of our 10 rooms on a deeper level, and it also allows me to provide more help - with suggestions for attractions to see, directions to get around the area, dinner recommendations and reservations, and whatever else we can do to make our guests' stays with us memorable. I'm glad we were able to win you over with our friendliness, warmth and helpfulness. We hope that will help you to again choose the Strasburg Village Inn for your lodging needs whenever you visit the area!

My husband chose the Strasburg Village Inn as a getaway for my birthday. The staff all wished me a happy birthday and made my husband, my daughter, and I feel so welcome. Our room was clean with classic décor befitting a B&B set in a 1788 structure. Morning breakfast was delicious and fun in the ice cream parlor/general store connected to the Inn. Conveniently located in the center of Historic downtown Strasburg, we also enjoyed strolling the streets during the day. Make sure to let them know of any special considerations when you book your room because they will do their best to accommodate- we needed a room with a little more floor space to set up the pack-and-play and they helped us out. There is also a comfortable gathering room stocked with games, dvds, and flavored coffees whenever you want to help yourself. We would definitely stay again!
It's such an honor for us when guests choose our Inn as part of a special celebration, such as a birthday or wedding anniversary. We always hope that we'll help create a memorable experience for the event, and I'm pleased that it sounds as though we did so for you. Thank you for sharing your comments (and sweet Clara's always ready smile) with us. We hope to see you all again - special occasion or not!

TWater-jet bathtub was disgusting with brown scum and/or mold evident. Felt like gagging each time we entered the bathroom and viewed this gross sight. Would have called the innkeeper and requested another room, but she had left and no number provided. Shower head had poor water flow, no option to change the flow pattern volume. Exhaust fan intermittently sounded like a thrashing machine. Toilet paper was such as one encounters at highway rest stop, i.e., tissue-paper thin, layers separating from each other as it unrolled, and had to roll-off a yard of it to do the job. Talking basics here, a clean bathtub and decent quality toilet paper; not too much to ask for $176 per night. Mattress was not comfortable. Sheets on bed were mismatched, thin, high in polyester content and scratchy, and very skimpy. Top sheet barely even covered our shoulders. King-size pillows totally limp and unsupportive. Ice cream shop next door serves as breakfast area. No one visible to attend to us. Finally called for help. Obviously displeased woman arrived. Advised her that we were inn guests and there for breakfast. “I’ve already served it,” she said. Perplexed, we told her that we understood that breakfast service was from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. It was then 8:30 a.m. “Oh,” she said, “Well, I’ve already served six and I was told I’d only have four.” She finally agreed to show us to a booth and plopped down paper placemats with advertisements for local businesses printed all over, banged down eating utensils, and told us we could get our own coffee from an area behind us. Napkins not provided. Asked for napkins and were provided with paper towels pulled from a wall dispenser. We got one slice of greasy white bread with an egg fried in the middle of it, one patty of even greasier sausage, and half a plate fried potatoes. “Surly Server” never graced our table again for the rest of the horrible meal. Our best advice is to avoid this place like the plague.

The breakfast was very good and plentiful. (They even made me a late breakfast because I insisted on sleeping in!!) We would certainly stay at the Inn again on our next trip! Leighann and Eric
Thank you for taking time to share your recent experience here at the Inn. I'd agree that the room with the private veranda is one of my favorites (except maybe on cold, snowy days!). Thank you for taking time to share your experience at our Inn, and we're happy that it was a positive one! It makes us glad that guests enjoy the games and puzzles available to them in the Gathering Room, and who can resist a little nibble - or two - of that creamy fudge made next door? It's a bonus for us to be partnered with a place next door that not only cooks breakfast for our guests, but then tempts them with fudge, caramel corner, homemade peanut butter and amazingly creamy ice cream, too! We hope you'll come back to visit us again - and you're welcome, of course, to stay longer next time!

I've never stayed at an inn or a B&B before so I took a stab at a B&B from an online list lots of possibilities listed on padutchcountry.com. I am so glad we booked this place. We got there a little before 5 and found the lobby closed but there was a note taped to the front door with my name on it. The note told me there was an envelope in the mailbox beside the door that contained instructions for getting to our room. It was quite the adventure! The inn was very nicely decorated, there was coffee, tea and 2 kinds of fudge in an upstairs common area sitting room. The room wasn't large but it was roomy enough for the 3 of us. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. In the morning we went downstairs to the adjacent restaurant and we given a hearty and yummy breakfast. My first B&B experience was a very good one and I hope any future visits will be as good.

B&B over a creamery, in front of a winery, beside a bakery. What more could you ask for. We had the room with a nice porch with ratan furniture which was grrat to relax on. The room was wonderfully furnished including a four poster queen bed. Breakfast was in the creamery and was nicely prepared. My only disappointment was the bakes goods were packged store bought and not the baked goods Lancaster County is famous for.
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience here at our Inn. We're happy you discovered how much you can see and do at our shoppes without ever having to get in the car (there's also a thrift boutique, antique store, tea room and even a barbershop all within a 1-block radius!). Thank you for letting us know you were disappointed in the pastry offerings for our breakfast. You are correct - just like most lodging properties, our baked goods are store bought. We choose to focus on things like farm-fresh eggs and thick-sliced bacon for our cooked-fresh breakfast entrees and see our pastry offerings as just "something to tide you over" until we serve our hot breakfast. I will mention your disappointment to the creamery management team, as feedback is important to them as well. We hope you will consider the Strasburg Village Inn for your next visit to our area!

I checked in just past 5pm but there were very clear instructions as to what to do to enter and how to find our room. Very secure. Room 2 was very clean and large with a nice sitting area. The bed is so very comfortable. The bathroom was also very large. The balcony was enjoyable, even in the cool weather. Barely heard any of the other guests. The gathering room was so quaint and the coffee maker and fudge were greatly appreciated. Breakfast in the creamery was a nice touch, you were with others but could sit at your own table. The food was made to order and delicious. Loved it.
We love that our town of Strasburg is so small and peaceful that we are able to easily allow for our guests to have late arrivals to the Inn without worrying about their safety or security! We're glad that you found so many positive things about the room that you chose, as ell as enjoying the Keurig coffee maker and complimentary fudge in our Gatherin Room. And we're glad that you enjoyed your hot breakfast in the morning so you could get a good start to your day. We appreciate your time in sharing your experience and hope that you will choose the Strasburg Village Inn for future visits to the area.

Unlike many of the 'cookie-cutter' hotels in the area, while still nice places to stay, our small Inn allows us the opportunity to make you feel as cozy and warm as you do at home. We're glad that's the feeling you got during your recent stay with us, and hope you'll seek out that feeling again when you visit the area.

My mom and I stayed in the room affectionately called the bumblebee room since its accents are yellow and black. We throughly enjoyed the three nights there, listening to the sounds of Strasburg filtering into the room. Having grown up in the area, the sounds of horses and buggies going past was a pleasant sound. Linda's breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Mom and I discovered the first day that it lasted with us throughout the day - a good thing when on a budget, a bad thing since Lancaster Co. offers so much wonderful food to eat. Jody and Linda were always helpful, answering questions and giving suggestions about places to visit or see. They lived up to their motto: come as strangers; leave as friends.
Thank you for taking the time to share comments about your recent stay at the Inn. These comments help us determine if there are any areas in which we need to improve. As you know from your visit, the "bumblebee room" is bright and cheery, even on the dreariest of days, and I'm glad you found it comfortable. A good, hot breakfast is an included part of your stay, and I'm glad you found our breakfasts hearty and filling. And yes, Lancaster County is surely a foodie destination, isn't it? I will share your comments about your stay with the appropriate staff, including Linda, and let them know how much you appreciate their efforts. We hope to have the pleasure of your company on any return visits to the area!

This is a cozy and friendly place to relax. Hearty food is available in the creamery downstairs, and the store has unique and interesting items representing the Amish community.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our Inn. "Cozy" and "friendly" are two words in your review that make us smile. We recognize that there are many choices for lodging in Strasburg and throughout Lancaster County, and we strive to make sure our guests are receiving a warm and positive ambiance and experience when they stay with us. We're glad we succeeded in doing so! And isn't wandering through the Country Store truly like stepping back in time? Not only does the store offer trinkets that are reflective of our surrounding Amish neighbors, but old-time, hard-to-find treats from our childhoods. We're glad you enjoyed exploring all of the wares at the store! We hope you'll come back and visit us again!

Jody was a warm host and Inn is very charming. We had stayed there about 10 years ago and loved it so much we went back! Linda in the attached creamery made us whatever breakfast entrees we wanted and it was all included in our very reasonable rate!! will definitely stay again. the sheets smelled heavenly!!
We're glad your second trip, though it was 10 years after your first, was equally positive for you! We like being able to spoil our guests, here and next door at the Creamery, and it sounds like we succeeded. Want to get your bed linens to smell heavenly at home? Just stack a dryer sheet among them (like we do!) Ours happen to be Snuggle, but any will work. We agree that it's double relaxing to get into a warm cozy bed that smells heavenly! Come back and see us again - you don't have to wait 10 more years!

This Inn was so quite and the room was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked another weekend next month.
We're thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us here at the Inn. And yes, Strasburg is quiet "off season", which makes a visit here feel like a retreat! We're glad you're coming back, and the next time, you won't have to enter as strangers because you'll already be friends!

My husband and I chose Strasburg Inn to celebrate our 9th anniversary. We stayed for one night in room 11. The bathroom was brand new with a huge waterfall shower. The room was extremely clean, great bedding/linens, comfy king bed, nice furniture. Everyone was so kind, friendly, hospitable , but we still felt like we had privacy. Strasburg is the perfect location if you are looking to experience all of Lancaster.

I stayed at the Strasburg Village Inn for a girl's shopping trip. This location was perfect. The town of Strasburg is ideal and has great restaurants. The room was clean and cozy. The common area had coffee and fudge and was very comfortable. I will definitely be back!
We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your recent experience at our Inn with other travelers. We think the Strasburg Village Inn is PERFECT for girlfriend getaways! We're small enough that you can be with each other without traveling long hallways and various floors to visit, close to all of the retail therapy a girl needs, and in a location and with a gathering room that allows you to just 'chill' and catch up with each other. And yes, having fresh coffee and fudge at your fingertips while you gather is a great incentive to just sit and be! We're glad your stay was enjoyable, and look forward to having you return to visit us again.

Great mini get-away to celebrate my husbands birthday without our 4 children. It was our first time and we are already talking about doing it yearly! Thank you ~ Zack & Kim Dec 14, 2012
We're happy that you were able to get away to celebrate your husband's birthday, and thrilled that you chose our Inn to be a part of that celebration. We're glad you had the opportunity to reconnect with each other (raising 4 children has to be time-consuming) and hope you'll find other occasions to get away (why wait for his birthday, don't you have a birthday every year, too?). Who knows, enough visits away to reconnect could, indeed, bring about child #5 that your husband wants! :-) We do hope you'll find time to escape and visit us again, even if we have to wait a whole year!

We celebrated our 55th Wedding Anniversary at the Strasburg Village Inn. The Inn is lovely, . Miranda showed us to our room #6 with the canopy bed. On the entrance of the room there was a sign and poem congratulating us on our anniversary. What a nice gesture! The room was very clean and it felt like "home"! In the morning we had breakfast at the Creamery. There was another note on our table wishing us a happy anniversary. Then we met Jody and she sang happy anniversary to us. We spoke to Jody for a while and we felt that we met a new friend. The staff is very friendly. All in all, we will certainly return!!!
We appreciate you taking the time to review your recent experience here at our Inn. It's always a treat for us when we know that guests are celebrating a special event with their visit and we try to find ways to acknowledge that event. Trust me, in this age, a 55th wedding anniversary is indeed a big event! We were so glad we were able to share in your celebration. You may have entered as strangers, but we are so glad you are leaving as friends. Please come visit us anytime - you don't have to wait for another anniversary to role around!

My wife and I both enjoyed staying here. The complimentary fudge and coffee/tea was a nice touch and we enjoyed the store below as well.
We're glad to know that you and your wife enjoyed your stay with us! We agree with you that the Keurig coffeemaker is a nice touch, and my waistline agrees with you that the fudge samples from the Candy Kitchen next door are the best! Thank you for sharing your experience with this review. We look forward to serving your lodging needs when you come back to the area.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! The room was perfect! So beautifully decorated and clean! the bed was heaven! The huge jacuzzi tub was awesome and I am sure added to the best nights sleep I have had in a while! I don't want to say which room I stayed in as it may not be available next time I stay! Breakfast was wonderful, cooked to perfection and served quickly and hot with a smile! I loved the winery and may have top come back soon for more. You have ruined me for anywhere else I will stay in the future! Every person I came in contact with was friendly to the extreme and helpful as could be! Good job!
Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion about your stay with us, and thank you for the kind and generous words! We realize travelers have many lodging choices when they visit Strasburg/Lancaster County, and strive to provide them with a memorable experience. A comfortable night's rest can be found anywhere - a hot, cooked-to-order breakfast can be found in many locations, too - so we want to make certain our guests know that we really are glad they chose US by our friendliness. And, it's easy to be friendly because we are lucky enough to get really great guests! We look forward to offering you another great night's sleep in the future, whichever room you choose next time!

I just love this place. My husband and I stayed there for our anniversary and I came back in December with my mom and daughter to stay after seeing a show. The staff is beyond friendly, both at the Inn and the Creamery. The location is outstanding; close to the outlets if that is your thing, close to the theaters and right in historic Strasburg. The Inn will provide you with a self-guided walking tour of the historic buildings if you are interested. I highly recommend doing that, weather permitting. I can't say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation today.
We are so happy when we have return guests; their return tells us that we are providing the comfort, cleanliness, professionalism and friendliness that makes people feel like we're their "second home". When a return guest makes it a point to review us as well.... that just puts a huge smile on our faces! We're glad you found everything excellent during both of your stays with us, and with 10 uniquely decorated rooms for you to choose from, we hope you'll return again and again to visit us and explore Strasburg and Lancaster County. Thank you for your kind words! Hope to see you again soon!

This is our second stay at this establishment and it was again very enjoyable...Jody is so friendly and informative. Linda is very efficient and helpful. We also enjoyed the young man making fudge. He enlightened me To what it takes to make this scrumptious sweet treat. We will return again and try another room selection.

Stayed in room #4. There was some peeling wallpaper but it was mostly behind a lamp and didn't detract from the hominess of the room (the innkeeper mentioned that they will be doing a remodel soon anyway). The room included a mini-fridge which was nice for the leftovers from dinner. The linens were very nice and the down blanket and the pillows on the bed were great. I found the bed too hard but my boyfriend thought it was "just right", so that is something you'd have to decide for yourself. There were extra pillows provided as well. The bathroom was very clean. Sunday breakfast was excellent. It was pancakes, eggs, and the best bacon I have had in YEARS! Other than that there were 2 kinds of toast, cereal, coffee, juice, milk, fruit, bagels and english muffins, all served inside the Country Store/Creamery. I will certainly stay again the next time I am nearby.
We appreciate you taking the time to share comments regarding your recent stay with us here at the Inn. Yes, the wallpaper is peeling in the corner of the guest room you stayed in, and that will be addressed in January. The room will also be getting brand new carpeting. I'm glad the peeling wallpaper didn't detract from your stay. Having just responded to a review where the guest stated that the breakfast was "just so-so", I'm thrilled to know that you thoroughly enjoyed the fare that was presented and cooked to order for you! We're glad to know you will stay here when you're in the area again, and we look forward to the privilege of serving your needs then!

This was a very nice Inn for a short stay. Very quaint and charming. Our room was clean and it was neat to hear the Amish buggies clopping past the window. Breakfast was downstairs in the deli which was cute but the food was slow in coming out and was just so-so. The service was very good as well and I would definitely recommend staying here.
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience here at our Inn. We're pleased to know that you found your room clean and the Inn in general quaint and charming. I'm disappointed to learn, however, that you weren't completely happy with your breakfast. Because we cook to order, unlike many of those hotels or B&Bs who cook ahead of time and keep the food warm in a steamer, sometimes it does take some extra time for us to make sure you're getting your breakfast hot off the grill. I will mention your complaint to the proper management members to address how we might be able to rectify it. We're glad, despite some negativity towards breakfast, that you would still choose to recommend the Strasburg Village Inn. Thank you!

I stayed one night here with my husband and 2 year old son. We received a warm welcome from Jody, who showed us around and helped us to our room. The room (#8) was very clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the sitting area on the 2nd floor which included coffees, teas, and chocolate! The breakfast in the attached creamery was outstanding. It was a made to order egg casserole and pancakes, along with cereals, rolls, muffins, etc... Fantastic! Everyone was so friendly, especially with our son. It was comforting knowing that he was welcome and we were relaxed knowing it was a family friendly place (those of you with kids understand what I mean). When we left we were going to purchase ice, but the lady at the creamery filled our cooler for free and gave us some oranges for our son. It's the little things that make a big difference!

We originally stayed at the Inn due to its proximity to the Strasburg RR and A Day with Thomas. But we have returned due to the warm welcome and friendly reception we always receive. Upon arrival you are greeting with a friendly welcome from Jody and feel like you are visiting somewhere you belong. The delicious breakfast is also a treat and the staff bent over backward to appease our 3 years old's breakfast tastes. Speaking of our 3 years old, he was so excited with the pleasant ways in which we were greeted that he kept asking to "go home to Mrs. Jody's house" because he wanted to see her again. The room (7) itself was well appointed, warm, clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Parking is easy, free, and right outside the building. A myriad of fun cites, including the Inn's sweet shop itself, are very close by. It is a place to which we will return whatever brings us to Lancaster County.
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience here at our Inn. A lot of travelers don't realize that our Inn is "kid friendly", and your comments will help educate them if they are traveling with children. As "Mrs. Jody", reading your comments bring a genuine smile to my face. I enjoy the opportunity to engage some of our younger travelers, and when we find a charming one such as yours, it makes it fun for all of the staff. We hope that you will return to visit "Mrs. Jody" whenever your plans bring you to the area (and don't forget, Thomas visits us in June, September and November!). Again, thank you for your kind words, and we look forward to the privilege of having you stay here with us again!

The Inn was excellantly maintained and what a great atomsphere. Rooms was so well down and comfortable. Clear, neat and functional. Truely like home. The breadfast was very good and good country. The staff was most friendly and extremely helpful. Thanks for the great stay.
"Will be back", the title to your review, are words that are truly music to our ears here at the Inn. That tells us that we did everything we could to make your stay enjoyable and memorable, and that's always our primary goal. Thank you for the wonderful and kind words, and for taking the time to share them with us and with other potential guests! We look forward to the time you "will be back" with us!

We had such a great experience our first time at the inn in June ...went back Oct 25-28 and will not stay anywhere else ! Fantastic location, super clean, awesome staff- Jody, the innkeeper, is wonderful! We have been going to Lancaster area several times a year for a long time and stayed in different places...when we found the Strasburg Village Inn it became the ONLY place we will stay at from now on! Located in a great walking town with historic homes and little shops... Did I mention free breakfast and coffee, tea and fudge in common room! love that place ") will be going back in the spring...
The words "love that place" mean so much to us.... Thank you! We strive to make our guests feel right at home, and being a small Inn instead of a larger hotel, we get to know them and look forward to chatting with them each time they move through the lobby. It sounds like we hit the mark on our mission to have you "Enter as strangers. Leave as friends." We're so glad! We're glad as well that you've had the opportunity to begin to discover all of the charm of our little town of Strasburg and how you can escape to its quaintness to sleep and explore and yet, still be only minutes away from all of the attractions and experiences that make Lancaster County such a wonderful destination. We'll look forward to your return in the spring, and in the meantime, wish you a safe and joyous holiday season!

The inn offers an unusual experience. Not only do you get a quaint place to stay but you can visit an ice cream shop, winery store and gift shoppe all next to the inn.
Thank you for taking the time to review our Inn. We are pleased that you recognized our little "town within a town" here at the Strasburg Shoppes. The Inn share Centre Square with the Country Store and Creamery, a bakery, a wine-tasting shop, a thrift boutique and an antiques store. Both within the walls of the Inn and within the square, you can fill your senses with the unique quaint charm that is Strasburg. We hope you'll come back for another sample of our uniqueness soon!

I stayed here last year during the same time, and I chose this place again because is it just so welcoming and cozy. I love the old charm feel and it's perfect for the weekend. It has a winery and creamery. Only downside, the parking is limited during the afternoon hours and the creamery store closes up early. But would definitely go back next year. Nice and quiet too!
Thank you for sharing your comments about your most recent stay here at our Inn. It means a lot to us when we have repeat guests, because it assures us that we are providing them with a great experience while they are with us. We understand that parking can be more limited during the hours that the Country Store & Creamery as well as the Winery are open, but these other shoppes are also part of the charm you enjoy staying at the Inn. We'll look for you to come back again next year - or sooner!

Thank you for choosing words like "wonderful" and "comfortable" and "relax" to describe your time with us. These are all great feelings to experience and we're thrilled you experienced them with us! Come again and let us give you those same fuzzy feelings all over again!

What a special weekend!! Our innkeeper was lovely--friendly, helpful, outgoing! The rooms were charming and of course, the town, is great. Dinner recommended by the innkeeper, who made reservations for us, was just what we all wanted. Great time with great friends! Can't wait to return with my husband.
It was so much fun having your small 'college reunion' with us for the weekend, and you gals were a lot of fun to have around! We're glad you found our town and our Inn just what you wanted for your get-together. I'm glad our dinner recommendations were also perfect for you. We hope you'll all come back - with our without each other - and we look forward to being your host for future trips to Strasburg! Thank you for your kind comments - I'll share them with the appropriate staff!

Cozy hotel for enjoying the Lancaster scene. Common sitting area a pleasant spot. Beds comfortable and rooms clean, lacking frills. Food in Creamery downstairs a bit odd. Not like other B&b breakfasts we've enjoyed. Sausage patties microwaved is not my idea of B&B fare.
Thank you for sharing your comments regarding your recent stay at our Inn. We're glad you found the beds comfortable and the room clean, since our business is primarily to sell "a good night's sleep in a clean, comfortable room". You mentioned that our rooms lacked frills, and because your review is anonymous, I have no way of knowing which room you occupied during your stay. However, future guests can look at pictures of each of our ten unique rooms online and see some furnishing frills, as well as some amenity frills, that are available in some of our guest rooms. For some travelers, price is an important point of their decision making process, so we do have some "traditional rooms" that don't have extra fancy frills and which rent at a lesser price. I'm sorry you didn't find breakfast to your liking. We get a lot of positive comments about our breakfasts, and guests always seem to appreciate that their food is made to order, quite different than many establishments' continental breakfast fare. And I can assure you that our sausage patties are cooking on a griddle, just as we use for our eggs, pancakes, french toast, etc. I'm not sure why you perceived that your sausage patty was cooked in as microwave? Travelers have many options for lodging when visiting Lancaster County, and we appreciate you giving us an opportunity to earn your business. We're sorry that you weren't as pleased with your stay as we would have hoped, but are glad, again, that you slept well while you stayed with us.

We came to Strasburg to attend a wedding. It was our first time ever at a Bed & Breakfast and we had a great experience. Our room was beautiful and clean. We walked the streets at night, visited the winery, had pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, went to the Whoopie Pie Festival and enjoyed a beautiful wedding. It was a great weekend. We could not have been more pleased.
We're thrilled that your first experience ever at a Bed & Breakfast establishment was a positive one! With so many choices for lodging, we hope this will help you consider another "non-cookie-cutter" type property for your future travels. We're happy, as well, that you found our town and the Shoppes at Centre Square quaint and safe to enjoy. We hope you'll find more reasons to visit the area in the future, and we'd love to have you stay with us again!

I had planned on surprising my Fiance' with a romantic getaway for his birthday weekend in Lancaster, PA. After googling many Bed & Breakfasts, & a friend recommending the Strasburg Village Inn, I decided to call and book a room. I was so excited to find out when I called, that I was able to try both of the rooms I loved the most, for one would be open for both Friday and Saturday nights. Each room was beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. We couldn't have been made to feel more comfortable by the gracious personalities of our Hosts and the clean and friendly atmosphere. The Strasburg Inn is so nicely located to all that we wanted to do and see, among their own shops right there at the Inn. I can't wait to go back and stay at the Strasburg Inn!! We absolutely loved it!!!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here at our Inn. I suspect by reading it that you stayed a night each in room #2 and room #3, because they are 2 of our favorite rooms as well; each room here is equally cozy and comfortable but #2 and #3 each have an extra "amenity" that make them even more special. I'm glad our staff treated you graciously and make you feel welcome. We can't wait for you to come back and see us again. I'm sure there's still more for you to see and do here in Strasburg and across Lancaster County. Thank you again for your kind words, and come back again!

This was our first visit to Strasburg. We were in town to see Thomas the Train with our 4-yr old. We did not really know what to expect, and boy, were we pleasantly surprised! The place inside was way bigger than it appears from the outside. For being an old establishment, it certainly had up-to-date amenities. The weather was a bit chilly and the bathroom's overhead heater felt soooo good. Individual room thermostats, a flatscreen tv, a mini-fridge, and more than enough towels. Our room was also very clean. They are also bigger than they appear in the photos. There was a common area on the second floor that felt like you were visiting grandma's -- it was cozy, clean, and they had fudge, coffee, and tea there daily. There was also a big flatscreen tv and plenty of board games available in the common area. My son had so much fun there. We only stayed one night, but my son kept asking why were were not staying a second night! Linda was so wonderful, funny, and such a good person. We so loved her and so did my son ("strawberrYYY!" -- Linda knows what that means!). By the way, the free breakfast was a FULL breakfast in the downstairs deli/creamery. mmmmmm! We bought wine from the winery downstairs, and stocked up on a few things in the country store. Too bad we didn't get to see the fudge being made in the candy shop. I would totally stay there again! I thought I read someone complain about street noise, but we didn't hear anything... Our window faced the side/back. Thank you Linda and Jody! Your hospitality is immeasurable!
"StrawberryYYYY" has become a word that brings as smile to our faces instantly, because we remember the charming young boy who made it a special word to us, and we grew incredibly fond of him during your short stay with us. Thank you for a wonderful review of our Inn. We are proud that we offer modern amenities mixed with period furnishings, and that we're able to keep the historic nature of our building in tact and still make it modern enough for today's travelers. And yes, being attached to the Strasburg Country Store & Creamery allows us to provide a full hot breakfast and samples of the fabulous fudge they make. We hope you'll be back to visit us - whether or not Thomas is in town (he's here 3 times a year) - it would make us (straw)berryYYYY happy to see you again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn very much. It was a very family-friendly Inn which is so nice because my husband and I really enjoy the personal, cozy feeling of a bed and breakfast and to be able to share that with our kids is really nice. We really enjoyed being next to the Creamery, enjoying a delicious lunch, ice cream later in the day, samples of the fudge, honey, and a delicous pumpkin pancake breakfast. The staff was so accomodating that they even made us scrambled eggs when we told them we were not interested in the bacon because we don't eat pork. The samples of fudge along with complimentary coffee and tea in the "family room" at the Inn was a much appreciated treat! My husband and I enjoyed sampling the wine at the winery next door and are looking forward to opening a bottle that we brought home with us. We came to enjoy "A day out with Thomas" but realize we could enjoy riding the train and the train museum any weekend. We hope to return to the Inn with friends!
Thank you for taking the time to share a review about your recent stay here at our Inn. Many folks don't realize that, although we are a small, 10-room property, we can cater to families as well with the variety of room types we offer. Here at Centre Square Strasburg, there is something for everyone of every age - from the winery to the thrift boutique to the antique store across the street to the toys and games in the Country Store - and the incredible ice cream and fudge made in our Country Store and Creamery will satisfy a sweet tooth of any age as well. Now that you're discovered you don't need to wait for Thomas to put in an appearance (he visits Strasburg 3 times a year), we hope that you'll come back and visit us soon!

My wife and I have celebrated our last two anniversaries at the Strasburg Village Inn the past two years. We are very impressed with the atmosphere and the service is great. It's close to everything, Strasburg Rail Road and restaurants. The creamery and winery are fantastic. We will be back in October to celebrate our 12th anniversary. It will be our 3rd stay here and certainly not our last.
We appreciate you taking the time to review your recent stay at our Inn. When guests become repeat visitors, it assures us that we are meeting the expectations of the travelers who stay with us. Visitors to Lancaster County often think they need to stay right on the busy highway in order to be close to attractions. Thank you for sharing how convenient our Inn is to those attractions, even though we're tucked in a small town just south of that highway. We look forward to seeing you again in October!

We stayed at the Strasburg Village Inn just one night after seeing a show at Lancaster Sight and Sound. We just needed a place to sleep, so we weren't looking for anything spectacular. The room was fine, but not decorated in any cool way. The soap/shampoo was OK, but nothing overly fancy or special. The bathrooms were OK, but not very elaborate or nice--fixtures, lights, just OK. The breakfast was disappointing--we have been to B&B with amazing stuffed French toast, made to order omelettes, fancy breakfast; this was two eggs, toast, sausage patty and homefries. Just OK. They did have a Keurig in the lounge, which was super nice and free fudge--I LOVE fudge!
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience here at our Inn. It's disappointing to us that you couldn't rave about your stay with us. It's also confusing to us that you stated you didn't find our rooms furnishings to be "cool" because all that tells us is that our detail to period furnishings in our rooms apparently isn't "cool". I'm also sorry you were dissatisfied with your breakfast. We rotate our breakfast offerings so that guests who are staying multiple nights with us have some variety, and apparently our offering that morning wasn't the variety you would have chosen. I'm sorry that we didn't offer you the "WOW" factor that you expected. We realize that guests have many options for lodging in Lancaster county and that our Inn has a distinct and unique appeal to many. Sadly, except for the Keurig coffee and complimentary fudge, we didn't appeal to you.

My wife and I checked into the Strasburg Village Inn on Friday, September 7th for a two night stay. We stayed in room 2, which is a wonderful room! It has a private deck in the back which was great for reading and for the two of us to catch up. The room had a large bathroom and all the amenities that you would expect in a first class inn. They surprised us with providing homemade fudge in the common room for our enjoyment. The breakfast was held in the creamery store attached to the inn. We enjoyed this experience as well as the staff of the creamery was excellent. Jody, the innkeeper of the Strasburg Village Inn will be the reason that you will come back again however. She was excellent, had tons of information for us, made us dinner reservations at a great restaurant in town, and made the experience all the more special by just being there when needed! We will definitely come back and stay at this great inn again. It was 5 minutes from Sight and Sound and you can walk to numerous historical sights right in town. I was glad I found this inn!
"Enter as strangers. Leave as friends." It is the mission statement I brought with me to the Inn, and it gives me such joy when our guests help me make it come true. You and your wife charmed your way into our hearts before you even got here by liking the Inn on Facebook, and it was great to have you around to chat with as you came and went visiting the area. Room 2 is one of my favorite rooms, especially once the heat of the summer has passed. That private porch is a haven just to sit and be in the moment, and I'm glad you were able to spend some time enjoying it. We hope you'll find many reasons to visit the area, and we also hope that you'll always consider us to be your 'home away from home' when you do!

We found the Strasburg Village Inn to be conveniently located to explore Lancaster and the surrounding area. The manager was welcoming, and full of information from dining, to sites in town and nearby. If you visit Strasburg, be sure to eat at least one meal at The Fireside Tavern; it's outstanding. We were in a great suite, which had a separate sitting room and a jacuzzi tub. The co-located Ice Cream Shop had a nice breakfast, which is included in the price of the room. Tea, coffee and fudge (!) were available around the clock in the common sitting room. We would definitely go back again.
Thank you for telling others what we try to tell everyone about how convenient our Inn is to exploring the area while still allowing travelers to get away from the busyness of the major thoroughfare for a good night's sleep! We pride ourselves on providing a clean room at a reasonable price, and then try to "up the ante" with that wonderful fudge from the Candy Kitchen next door, the Keurig coffeemaker with flavored coffee, and staff who is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We'd glad we were able to provide you with a wonderful experience during your stay, and hope you'll consider us for your next trip to the area.

This was our second time staying at the Strasberg Village Inn and both times have been an excellent experience. I couldnt imagine staying anywhere else when in the Lancaster area.
It always makes me so happy when guests say they couldn't imagine staying anywhere in the area but with us! With all of the lodging choices in Lancaster County, that is the highest compliment we can receive and we thank you for it! We hope that there will be a third visit - and many more after that - and that each time you will have a wonderful experience while you're here! Thank you for sharing your kind words!

The Inn is lovely but if breakfast is an important part of your BnB experience then don't bother. The breakfast is held in the adjacent ice cream parlor. You order at a counter and it's brought to you. We had eggs which were over cooked and crumbled. The mini muffins were clearly store bought and the pancakes were so tough they had to cut with a knife. Unfortunately I had to give the dining 2 stars..
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us here at the Inn. I am so terribly disappointed to here that you did not enjoy your breakfast with us; guests usually rave about the freshness and quality of the breakfast fare we offer. Please know that I will print out your review to bring your comments to the attention of the manager there. Unfortunately, due to the anonymous nature of guest reviews, I'm unable to verify the date of your stay to help determine why the quality of food did not meet your expectations. I am glad that you felt that the rest of your experience here at the Inn was a positive one, and again, thank you for alerting us to your dissatisfaction with the breakfast element so that we can take steps of corrective measure.

Although we spent very little time at the Inn, we did enjoy it very much. The hostess is very warm and made us feel welcomed. Our room was cozy and comfortable...terrific linens! The played a nice part in our anniversary get away.
Thank you for your willingness to share comments about your visit with us at our Inn. These comments are extremely important to us, as well as to future guests, so we appreciate when our guests take the time to post a review. Parking sometimes is the only problem we had. Loved the place. In a great location for seeing Sights & Sounds and all the Amish sights.
Thank you for taking the time to share comments about your recent visit at our Inn. We rely on these comments to help us be certain we are meeting or exceeding our guests' expectations, and travelers often use guest reviews when making lodging decisions, so your objectiveness is important to them. We're glad that you loved the Inn and its convenience to all of the area attractions. Because of the popularity of the Strasburg Country Store & Creamery next door, parking can be quite limited during the hours they are open, but there is always parking available for the overnight hours, and we find that the visitors to the Creamery are always streaming in and out of the lot when they are open for business. I hope you will come back and visit us again!

It was a very good experience, Jody was an excelent host. We will return and refer others.
I'm so delighted to learn that you thoroughly enjoyed your experience here at our Inn! Our smallness means that we can enjoy our guests while they visit the area and stay with us, and we take pride in making them feel welcome during their entire stay. It sounds like we did that when you were here, and we look forward to the next opportunity to deliver that warm welcome!

I would highly recommend staying at this B&B. The stafff is friendly and our room was beautiful. The innkeeper was especially helpful, as she suggested restaurants and places that we should check out.
Thank you for taking the time to share comments regarding your recent visit with us at the Inn. These comments help keep us on track to meeting/exceeding our guests' expectations, and they are also helpful to other guests who may be considering our property. Your "high" recommendation pleases us, as it signals to us that we exceeded your expectations. I will share that with our staff and ownership. One of the amenities of staying at a small property as opposed to larger hotels is the opportunity to have available staff to assist you with dining and attractions ideas and accommodations. We enjoy providing information and coupons, driving directions, and even making dinner reservations for our guests! We hope you will come visit us again; as a friend, our door is always open!

The room was very pretty and clean. The service was wonderful. Any problem they were right there. Very close to attractions.
Thank you for your positive comments about your recent stay with us. We understand that today's travelers expect a clean and comfortable room, and that service and attitude are what distinguishes one property from another. With the charming town of Strasburg as our backdrop, the Inn hopes to create an experience for your stay, not just a place to sleep. It sounds like we were able to do that for you. Please come and visit us again!

This was the most relaxing and enjoyable weekend that we have ever had. It was our 30 th wedding anniversary. The rooms were very clean ,the atmosphere was superb and the inn keeper was excellent and there is no other place that I would ever stay but here when I come to visit again. We totally loved our experience in a B&B. This was our first time. And I hope we can do it again. Not to mention the creamery next door has the best sandwiches and breakfAsts. We wishe we never ate at other places so we always ended back at the creamery. Kudos to Jody.....and we did enter as strangers and left as friends......
We appreciate you taking the steps to share comments about your recent experience at our Inn. While the reviews remain anonymous, the nod to our mission that our guests enter as strangers and leave as friends indicates that you are someone with whom we had some chance to interact during your stay. We pride ourselves in being your hosts for all aspects of your stay, not only with lodging and breakfast, but with information and recommendations for things to see and do, places to shop and dine, and any other needs that might arise while you visit with us. On behalf of the B & B industry, I'm glad your first experience was such a positive one, and I hope that will encourage you to see out other Inns and B & Bs when you travel to different areas. As for Lancaster County, I hope we'll always be the place you consider as "home" when you come back! Happy Anniversary, and many many more!

The Strasburg Inn was overall a great stay. We had a stellar weekend with the inn/creamery/deli trifecta. There is also a winery and shops that added to the area's small cozy feel.
We appreciate your time in sharing comments about your stay at our Inn. We couldn't agree more that having the 'Strasburg Shoppes', which include our Inn, Creamery/Deli/Country Store/Candy Kitchen, Winery, Bakery and Thrift Shop all nestled together gives our guests a sense of "a town within a town". We hope you will choose to "Eat. Shop. Stay." with us in the future!

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday weekend. We are return customers. This stay was nade memorable by the excellent, warm reception we received from Jody the manager. She lent an air of intimacy and concern that we have found rarely evident in our stays elsewhere in the Lancaster area. We definitely will be coming back soon!
Thank you for your many kind words about your recent stay here at our Inn. You've made me blush with your kind words about me specifically; I enjoy what I get to do by meeting and greeting the guests who choose us, and do nothing more than treat them in the way I would wish to be treated. I'm only sorry that apparently isn't the same kind of treatment you've gotten in the past from my colleagues here in Lancaster County. Again, thank you for your kind words and for choosing us as your lodging in the area. We hope to see you again soon!

We just spent the weekend staying at the Village Inn. When we walked in the front door on Friday afternoon, Jody welcomed us like we were coming home from a long trip! She and Miranda, both front desk hostesses were so friendly and accomidating. The building is beautiful with lots of character from the pre Civil war era but with all the modern amenities. For breakfast be sure to try the Strasburg Stacker! And, if you should choose to dine at the Fireside Tavern just a short drive from the Inn, you simply must have a cup of Tomato Bisque! (Jody, it far exceeded your description!) We would definately stay at the Inn again!! Titus and Murna, Ohio
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at our Inn. Our guests' feedback is important to us so that we can be sure we are meeting - and if possible - exceeding their expectations in every way. As you know, our mission statement is "Enter as Strangers. Leave as friends." We try to make sure our guests are warmly greeted, assisted and acknowledged throughout their stay with us. The uniqueness of our small property is the opportunity to get to interact with our guests multiple times during their visit, and we hope our friendliness enhances whatever it was that brought them to our area. Thank you for letting us know that your stay was a positive one, and for speaking so highly of our Strasburg Stacker breakfast sandwich! It's a favorite of mine, too! I'll certainly tell the owners of Fireside Tavern that we've gotten another rave review for their Tomato Bisque soup as well. Again, thank you for your kind words, and please come visit us again!

Our stay at the Strasburg Inn made our trip to Amish country perfect. This is a beautiful inn set in downtown Strasburg. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the beds are the most comfortable that one can find. The innkeeper and all of the people who work there are friendly and helpful. It is peaceful and relaxing to sit on the front porch and watch the world go by. I loved waking up in the morning to the sound of horses hooves on the street below. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we will go back again1
Thank you for taking the time to post comments about your recent stay with us. Our guests' feedback is needed to make sure that we are meeting - or exceeding - their needs whenever possible. I'm glad you had some opportunity to use our front porch for a Lancaster County "sit out". Being away from the hustle and bustle of the busy thoroughfare of Route 30, it's a relaxing change to be able to see the normal routines of a small town, including the Amish folk who travel among us here. We're glad you are planning to come back to the area and to stay with us when you do. We look forward to again being the hosts for your overnight lodging needs!

I would highly recommend this inn for the concerned staff, service, comfort and cleanliness. There are also some special touches like the tea and coffee service (with some extra treat like fresh made fudge) available in the sitting area/ common room 24/7. It is also important to note that this town stays open later than others in the area in that there are a few restaurants, including that at the Inn that serve until 10 pm. Plus the ice cream shop at the Inn is also open until 10 and you can sit outside. Almost forgot to mention the free WiFi!
Thank you for taking the time to post comments about your experience here at the Strasburg Village Inn. We rely on this information from our guests to know both where we excel and also where we need improvement. I'm glad you experienced the wonderful town of Strasburg. Being a part of the Strasburg Shoppes on Centre Square, we understand that travelers appreciate being able to do a lot of things without getting in and out of the car. The Shoppes have tried to provide our guests an "Eat, Shop & Stay" area that they can enjoy all without going anywhere! We hope that you'll return to visit our charming town again, and would be honored to once again play host to your lodging needs.

We enjoyed a wonderful experience during our stay at the Strasburg Village Inn. We received an extraordinary very warm welcome from Jody upon our arrival. She was extremely helpful with her recommendations for dining and shopping both at the time of our booking as well as after we arrived. We shared many experiences with each other and had lots of laughts. The other staff members were also so very pleasant, cheerful and helpful. We enjoyed our room, but will try and book earlier the next time to perhaps have a larger room. We are checking our calendar to see when we can book our next get away and will definitely be back to the Strasburg Village Inn (hopefully long before our next anniversary.) With Warm Thoughts Charlotte (crabcake) and Joe
We greatly appreciate the time you took to share comments about your recent stay at our Inn. We count on our guests' comments to tell us not only where we exceed their expectations, but also of any areas we might have fallen short of their expectations, so that we can take the steps to correct those areas. In this case, it sounds like you had nothing but a positive experience staying with us, and we're so glad! Unlike a large hotel, a small Inn or B&B allows the staff opportunity to intermingle with and get to know its guests, and many of them become our friends and people we look forward to seeing again and again. That is certainly the case in this instance, and we hope you'll find that opening in your calendar soon and book another stay with us. We'll see you then!

This was my first Bed & Breakfast experience, and it exceeded my expectations. I will definitely come back again and stay at the Strasburg Village Inn. The creamery next door was a bonus they make the best homemade ice cream and fudge. The innkeeper Jodie was a great hostess and she makes you feel right a home!
Thank you for taking the time to share comments about your recent stay at our Inn. We adore being able to convert travelers from the cookie-cutter hotel stays to a more personal experience at a unique inn or B&B. I'm glad your first experience exceeded your expectations so that you'll be more likely to try other inns and B&Bs during your journeys. I should warn you - most of them probably won't have incredible ice cream and fabulous fudge to sample right next door to them. But we'll be here whenever you need a dose of homey hospitality AND something for your sweet tooth!

As innkeepers my husband needed a little retreat and this was a wonderful, quiet place to get away for a few days for relaxation. The innkeeper was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious homemade ice cream which is on the premises. Thanks so much for an enjoyable stay at your inn!
Much like the adage of "Physician, heal thyself", those of us in the hospitality industry also need to relax and refresh and let someone else take care of us now and then. I'm so glad you gave us the opportunity to be your choice for a retreat. We also realize that our fellow colleagues in the industry can see beyond what the usual traveler sees, and we're beyond thrilled that you found your stay with us delightful. And yes, having access to a variety of delicious flavors of homemade ice cream right next door doesn't hurt, either. Please come back and visit us whenever you need a recharge!

We had a wonderful romantic stay in room #2 at the Inn. We could not have asked for a better experience! The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the Inn was beautiful. Thank you for your hospitality! Mr. and Mrs. Holohan
Thank you for your kind comments regarding your stay at our Inn. We agree that room #2, with its private porch, is a great choice for a romantic stay, and are glad you were able to embrace the romantic ambience of the room during your stay. We welcome you back to visit us again, and with 9 other unique and different rooms to offer, we'd invite you to try a different room next time - maybe one with a king bed and jacuzzi tub? We look forward to serving your future lodging needs. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

There was a family emergacy and that may reduced the service since there was no one there to greet us, but still all was arangged and everything went smooothly Throughtly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.
We appreciate your time in reviewing our Inn, and thank you for the privilege of knowing of your experience. There was a recent circumstance when a sudden onset of illness meant that no one could be there to personally welcome you upon your arrival, and we do apologize for that inconvenience. Being a small property, we do not have a large staffing roster, and unforseen emergencies with a staff member can cause such an occurance; fortunately, those instances are few and far between. Nonetheless, we're glad the alternative arrangements made for your arrival worked out smoothly, and that you enjoyed your stay at the Inn. We do hope you'll come back and visit us again, especially if you have the opportunity to stay longer. There's so much to see and do in Strasburg and the surrounding Lancaster County! Again, thank you for sharing your comments.

We did enjoy our stay very much, especially sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch eating our ice cream cones we purchased from the shop next door. We were told that the door in the lobby would be unlocked in the morning for breakfast at 8am. At 8;30 it was still locked. We did not know that breakfast was provided by the ice cream shop next door. Once we figured that out we went into the shop via their front door and had a nice hot breakfast.
Thank you for taking the time to share comments about your recent stay at the Inn. I deeply apologize for the inconvenience you experienced in getting to breakfast in the morning, and I will inform the Creamery manager of this incident and ask that the staff be reminded that the door for our guests must be opened for their accessability to breakfast. I am glad that, once you got to your breakfast, you found it enjoyable. We love when our guests choose to sit on the front porch of the Inn and "people watch". We like our guests to discover that they can be just 5 miles away from Route 30 and all of the hustle and bustle, yet find a quiet, simple little town that gives nod to the 'old days' with its charm. We hope that, despite your experience finding breakfast, that the charm and quaintness of Strasburg and the Inn will bring you back again.

We are so honored that you chose our Inn to celebrate your one-year wedding anniversary! And we're thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for considering us to be one of the nicest B&Bs you've visited, and we'll definitely look forward to having you come back and visit again!

Dear Tom and Barbara from Winchester, VA: Thank you for taking the time and effort to post a review on your experience. The truth is, we love to spoil our guests every chance we get - whether that's honoring a request for early check-in or assisting them with their luggage or sneaking them a little treat from the Candy Kitchen next door. So, we'll look forward to your third visit back this year and see what new and unique way we can find to spoil you then!

We only had the opportunity to stay one night at this quaint little B&B. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. We chose room #2 because the online picture showed a private "porch". Although the porch is cozy, there is not really a "view" from this section of the house, but I believe that because this room is located in the back, it is quieter. I only mention this in case this info would help influence someone's room decision. However, the room was clean and lovely. We also enjoyed a hearty country breakfast in the morning. Overall, I would say that although our stay was short, it was enjoyable!
Thank you for sharing your experience at the Strasburg Village Inn. We appreciate you educating potential future guests that room #2's porch, indeed, is secluded in the back of the structure and the guests will be trading a view of the center square of town for a quiet retreat. We're glad your found your accommodations clean and comfortable, and enjoyed your full hot breakfast in the morning as well. Please feel free to visit us again!

Ok its a small town with only 3 places, but this is the best. Very friendly staff and our room had its own TV and thermostat, big king size bed and large bathroom. There is a ice cream place and winery right next door. Has own parking lot too. Free K-cup coffee with fudge. Historic Strasburg is just awesome
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our Inn. We're glad you found that, although small, the town of Strasburg has unique charm and the Strasburg Shoppes on Center Square in Strasburg provide a variety of places to visit. We're also glad you enjoyed your room at the Inn and the extra amenities like a Keurig coffeemaker and samples of fudge from the Candy Kitchen next door. We hope you'll come back to visit and give us the opportunity to show you how much more than "3 places" our town has to see and do!

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Strasburg Village Inn. Jody and other friends of the Inn welcomed us so warmly and made sure our stay was wonderful. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. The town of Strasburg is quaint and beautiful. Our friends at the Inn also made our 4-year-old daughter, Isabella, feel so welcome. She had a great time too! We hope to be back to the Inn soon for another visit. Thank you everyone!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our Inn. We value our guests' comments - good and bad - so that we can acknowledge our staff for a job well done as well as learn where we can improve. These reviews are supposed to be "anonymous" but it's easy to place you because we have such fond memories of Isabella. I will remember her everytime I look at the furniture in our lobby that USED to have 2 cute little wooden cows upon it! Thank you for becoming part of our Inn family, and we hope you'll find your way back to us soon!

A lovely B&B Inn...with a very kind & courteous Inn Keeper. Our room was neat & clean, done in restful colors. There is a lovely "meeting room" between the bedrooms, which my son and I took full advantage of! We decided to eat in, and watch one of the many movies that were available. There were even samples of the fudge they make in the Creamery next door for you to try. We had a very pleasant stay overnight, and woke up to a delicious breakfast in the Creamery next door. The staff there was friendly, and made us feel welcome. The cook herself came out to enquire about our meal, and even grilled me up some Lemon Bread to enjoy! A great start to a great day, as we went to ride the Train when we left the Inn. All in all, I would most definately go back again, and recommend it to my friends. A lovely home away from home.
Thank you for taking time to post your comments about your recent stay at our Inn. We're always delighted to know that our guests enjoyed all of the extra amenities we offer as well as getting a good night's sleep and a great breakfast. I will be sure to share your comments about the Creamery staff with them! Stayed at the Strasburg Village Inn May, 2012. Was a very nice Inn, but didn't have much time, as we were shopping that day, and then had tickets for the 7:30PM show, to see,Jonah at the Sight and Sound Theater, got back late. Had breakfast the next morning, which was very good, and were off to continue our travels. The brief time/ conversation we had that morning with Jody, the Innkeeper was pleasant, and Lauren saw that we had everything we needed. Would definitely return if in the area again....Thanks to Jody and her Staff! Cheri W. Manchester, NJ
Thank you for your positive comments about your recent stay with us at the Inn. We're sorry you didn't have more time to just lounge and relax with us, since we love to engage our guests so much, but we're glad you had time to see the show and do some shopping! We hope you'll visit again for a more relaxing stay!

My trouble started with the reservation itself. I called the B&B the day before my visit and had to leave a voicemail message requesting information. I requested a room online in hopes that either the call would be returned (it wasn't) or I'd get a confirmation of the room through e-mail (I didn't - until AFTER I checked in). We arrived about 6:00 pm and the Manager had left for the day. Again I called the advertised phone number to no avail. I went into the ice cream store next door and to my pleasant surprise, one of the fountain managers was able to secure us the room. The room was not "bright" as advertized but it was comfortable. The breakfast was held in the adjacent ice cream shop. The meal was similar to what one would order at a Denny's (pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon with juice and coffee. As I entitled the review - no ambiance. I'll look for another next time.
I am sorry that you had such an unpleasant experience attempting to make your reservation for a stsy at our Inn. Becsuse we are a small property, there is not staff available 24/7 as with many hotels; additionally, the Inn was between Innkeeper managers (my first day was 3/19) and our regional manager was wearing too many hats. Nonetheless, we believe in making it right for our guests, and would like you to contact us directly so that we can first, apologize in person and second, see what we might be able to offer you as a token of our desire to make you a happy guest. You can reach me at the Inn at 717-687-0900; the best times to reach me by phone are usually weekdays from 10 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 2 PM to 8PM. Again, we are sorry that your reservation process started your stay off so poorly, and would welcome the opportunity to create a satisfactory solution.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience here at our Inn. We're always happy when another visitor discovers that you can be close to all of the major attractions without having to stay at a chain hotel on a main thoroughfare. My wife Chris and I go to Lancaster area many times a year for over nighters. I'm a Railroad buff and we go to the Strasburg Railroad. We always stayed on Rt.30. It was my time to pick the place to stay. I went to B & B .com to find a different place. Our stay at Strasburg Village Inn was the best we ever had in this area. The Inn made us feel like we very welcome and the accommodations were perfect. The room was exceptionally clean and beautiful, as my wife said. The breakfast in the Creamery store was delicious and plentiful. We will come back to this fine Inn in the future. I got a lot of points with my wife for picking Strasburg Village Inn. Ed Mentzer
We are so glad that you got off the major thoroughfare of Route 30 during your most recent visit to the area and discovered the quaint charm of our little town of Strasburg (yes, we are more than a Railroad!). Our goal is to make our guests feel relaxed and pampered, and it sounds like we did that for you and for your wife. Kudos to you for earning those points with your wife - I suspect she would be content lounging in our Gathering Room and forgoing repeat visits to the Railroad, and we'd always welcome her to prop her feet up there! We hope you'll consider us for your next visit to the Railroad!

We love this bed and breakfast. Huge comfy bed with a nice mattress and awesome linens. Extremely clean. The breakfast in the morning at the Creamery is OUTSTANDING. We recently stayed at the Strasburg Village Inn and it was a wonderful experience. The Inn is just simply charming. The room was cozy and elegant all at the same time. The Jacuzzi Tub was wonderful after a full day of running around. Breakfast was very tasty and filling. When we arrived, the young lady who checked us in was actually from the adjoining Ice Cream Parlor/Deli. She was worried about being "new" to the Inn side, but she did a great job and was very friendly! I also recommend a visit to sample the ice cream. Yummy! An all around wonderful visit.

Although we had two flat screen tv's in our suite, we didn't really want to use them, because the cable was so basic, there was nothing on and no tv guide. Although it was fine, we were hoping for more of an actual bed and breakfast stay. The "breakfast" consisted of going next door to the connected shop and being served a very mediocre, basic breakfast. It was more of a creamery than anything else, and there was a very small selection to choose from. Overall, our stay was perfectly fine. We weren't absolutely thrilled, but the place was cute.

Our stay was very enjoyable! The breakfast at the Creamery was delicious and there was a good selection of food to choose from. Also the ice cream there is awesome!

We'd stayed here twice previously, four and five years ago. It's under new management now, but still a beautiful inn and an excellent value!

Arrived on Friday, room was ready early. Had a fun night in the living room with all my girlfriends. Great breakfast in the Country Store/Deli the next morning. Would definitely stay again.

The ambiance was wonderful...welcoming, relaxing and the fudge that was set out was awesome.

I enjoyed my stay it was calm and peacful, we came from new york and there is a big difference about everything, one thing we noticed was the calm relaxed atmosphere, the room, people, food, pace, it was refreshing. we stayed at 1 west main street room 10, you need a wall mirror in the bedroom the bathroom mirror is not enough.

It was a surprise to my husband I have his sister and her husband meet us there for a birthday celebration. Very nice and quaint. The gathering room was our hangout. Fun!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Strasburg Village Inn. We went to the Sight and Sound theater just down the road and saw the "Miracle of Chirstmas". It was an amazing display of the bible coming to life. We visited the winery and bakery on grounds. The fudge was delcious and the Inn provided free coffee. Diane was very pleasant and and informative. We will surely stay there on our summer visit to Amish country.

Stayed there in November 2011. The place was immaculate, the people nice as can be, the food was great. Close to the outlets.

We stayed at the Strasburg Village Inn for our 5th wedding anniversary. Our room was wonderful with a cute little balcony. Each morning I would sit out there drinking coffee and to my delight I saw hot air balloons every morning. The wine shop and bakery had an outdoor concert we listened to from our balcony. Wonderful time, would absolutely stay there again!

Loved everything, except for one thing you really can't control: the location of the inn by the traffic intersection. The noise from vehicles (trucks especially) stopping and going through the intersection, all night made a restful night difficult.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Strasburg Village Inn. Everything was clean and cozy. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to dinner at the Iron Horse Saloon. We also enjoyed the great little shops, coffee shop/bakery, and winery right at our doorstep. We went to see a show at the Sight and Sound. Absolutely awesome! We will definitely be back.

The common room with snacks was nice for our group of 6. Breakfast was good. Was a little surprised by the volume of traffic and associated noise at the intersection where the Inn was located, particularly large trucks.

Very pleasant and picturesque inn. Upstairs lounge with home made fudge, coffees, teas, etc were very pleasing. Breakfast at the creamery was delicious. We would definely retrun to this fine old inn on our next visit to Amish Country.

Being in my room felt like being in a home rather than a hotel. It was very comfortable but the decor was dull, some of the lamps didn't work and the"cable tv" only had 8 channels.
2.8 on October 03, 2011
The last time I stayed, my husband and I were pleased with the room, service, and breakfast. However, this time (8 months later), the breakfast was poorly made, the coffee was watered down, and the shower in our room was not working. The room was pretty, comfortable, and came with a jacuzzi tub, which I highly recommend, but we were still a bit disappointed.

Our stay with Strasburg Village was very nice! We liked the large clean rooms and the Breakfast was very good. Our only issue was the fact they had no ice machine just a cooler with ice. That we felt was tacky! But other than that our stay was great and we will return.

We were very pleased with our experience at the Strasburg Village Inn. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will long remember the peaceful sound of the Amish buggies passing by. The food at the attached deli was great. Hope to journey to Strasburg again. We will definitely stay in the Inn.

The Village Inn was the right choice. The room was spacious and clean. The airco did not make too much noise. Unfortunately no one told us that breakfast was only between 8 and 9. We were there 9:10. Beside this, the Inn was a perfect place to stay. WE WILL BE BACK. Taco F. Dillesse Netherlands.

Fantastic location for the Amish country. Sat on the porch having an ice cream cone from the creamery watching the buggies come and go in traffic. Enjoyed the fudge in the lounge.

I had reservations for 3 nights to stay at the Strasburg Village Inn but when i heard the news of Irene coming towards NJ I knew we wouldn't make it out of town in the am! I called Diane at the Strasburg Inn and asked if they had an opening for sat night also....yes the same room we would be in for the next 3 nights I said great and convient also. We arrived at 845 key was waiting for us at the door and we bunkered down awaiting the storm which was just rain up there. My town of Denville was destroyed and no way in or out the river over flowed all over town stores are still closed in fact my parents who live in town just got power on yesterday 7 days no phone or electric! Yhis was our 3rd year at teh Strasburg and we will be back again next year. There is only breakfast no dinner accomodations there you can grab lunch next door at the creamery and of course yummy ice cream too! I would recomend this B&B to anyone who asks me.
4.2 on August 30, 2011
Enjoyed the short stay and the very confortable bed. excellent flat screen tv, and the common areas were enjoyable. located by the cafe, icecream parlor, bakery and wine shop were ideal. The outdoor music that night was excellent too.

Everyone was very helpful in answering questions we asked. The breakfasts were plentiful, did not go away hungary. Other guests were very nice to talk to. The only thing that was hard for my husband, were the steps going up to the room.I had to carry the suitcases up and down. Would definitlyvist another B&B in our travels.
3.4 on August 26, 2011
This was our 1st stay at a B&B. Likes: Very conveniently located. Quaint and clean little town. Creamery (great ice cream!), candy shop, winery, and bakery on site. Friendly innkeeper. Good, plentiful breakfast. Dislikes: The cleanliness was a bit disappointing (miniblinds were filthy, bathtub didn't appear very clean, ice for guests was in a portable ice chest/cooler with a scooper). Our room was above the main street which made it kind of noisy and the miniblinds did not close all the way.
4.6 on August 12, 2011
A most enjoyable time. Having been there before, the Inn is still a great place to go, relax, visit and enjoy all of the local attractions. Diane is a resource of knowledge and a great person to "lean" on, if you have questions. I highly recommend staying the Strasburg Inn if you are ever in the area! In addition, the Country Store next door has lots of interesting items and food to enjoy.

We made a very last-minute decision to stay overnight in Strasburg and were amazed that we found such a wonderful welcoming place to stay. We'll definitely be back. Diane, the innkeeper is a gem. We highly recommend this lovely convenient spot!

4.2 on July 20, 2011
The location is first rate if you come for the trains. The room was well appointed and comfortable and Diane was a charming host. The best features may have been the creamery and candy store that are part of the inn. The fudge is irristable and the ice cream a relaxing treat, as we sat on the porch until 10 PM. I would not hesitate to go back.

Ice was a bag in a cooler that ran out within the afternoon of our stay so when we needed ice in the evening it was gone. No decaf tea available at coffee and tea station. Breakfast was 20 min late and with only a 60 minute window of opportunity to get breakfast that was a hassle. No hot water for tea made for breakfast. Hostess was hurried causing a table to knock over causing the juice, fruit and syrup to fall on the floor. Big mess, timely cleanup. Did not feel the usual hospitatlity and home feel we choose bed and breakfast stays over hotels for at this B&B.

We loved the place, the Manager and the building. The best part was the tour of the building, since we were the only ones to stay for the 2 nights. We definitely will recommend your facility. Thanks

We used the stay 2 nights get 1 free coupon so that it was excellent value. The service was very friendly and we loved the facility and our rooms. The location is very convenient to see the important sites in Lancaster County. I would definitely stay there again.
3.6 on May 29, 2011
It was quiet and lovely. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom left a little to be desired. No soap dish, no throw rug. We wished we had a choice of meats for breakfast. The people were so nice and we would definitely stay again and recommend your place to others.

We arrived at Strasburg Village Inn after a very long trip (11 hour flight & 3 hour drive) and were received with a very big smile and a warm welcome by the charming Diane. We stayed in three rooms for one cozy night and felt at home. The creamery is also something to write about - it was so inviting that some of us had icecream as breakfast...

This was our first time at a B&B so we had no idea of what was supposed to be. The person who greeted us was just friendly and personable. This looks like it was an old boarding house and was very well kept. Although located at the main intersection in town it was not a problem. The convience of the location in Starsburg is well it. We plan on staying there again with friends during the year. We only live about 45 minutes away so it is a easy place to get to if not for a quick little weekend getaway.

The room was very comfortable and clean. We did not partake in breakfast, but the cafe downstairs was very good. The treats at the front door were a nice surprise and the Innkeeper was very helpful. The Inn has a very home-y feel which puts you at ease right away. The complimentary coffee and tea all day is a nice added touch. Our stay was directly after a snow storm and a number of things in town were closed, but we still occupied ourselves with the surrounding area for the entire weekend. The main street definitely lends itself to strolling. The Inn was centrally located, which made traveling around very convenient. We are definitely going back when the weather gets warmer.

My recent visit to Strasburg in was delightful. The staff were very accomodating and went out of their way to meet our needs. I look forward to seeing the place after the renovations are done, however, it was very pleasant and comfortable in its present state. Dianne was truly great and an asset to the Inn. Breakfast menu needs to be tweaked to offer more variety, focusing less on carbs and offering more fresh fruit and real eggs. Special things like all day coffee service and candy surprises at the front desk are a nice feature. I look forward to returning. There is a lot to see and do in the Strasburg area and the Inn provides a very central starting point.

Great location. We had 2 rooms and both were decorated lovely. Had no problems with the rooms. The staff was friendly and courteous. We had a great 'free' hot breakfast. Next time we head to Lancaster Co., we'll definitely be staying at the Strasburg Village Inn!

Strasburg is adorable and the Inn is lovely. Our room # 10 was comfortable, two of the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Our Host Don was very knowledgeable about what to do and see in the area. Breakfast was yummy both mornings. Be sure to stop in the creamery for some ice cream! Hope to return again next year for some R&R.

We have stayed in a couple Bed and Breakfasts in the Strasburg area and the Village Inn is just OK. The rooms are adequate but the room we stayed in had a bathroom that was adequate but the tub looked like it needed to be cleaned. The breakfast does not meet the norm of the other Bed and Breakfasts we have stayed in. We encountered "cold" food and alot of sweets for breakfast -- not something we enjoyed. Not a bad place to stay -- the rooms just need some updating and the breakfast needs to be improved on.
3.6 on November 14, 2010
We were there on the night of trick or treating. We sat in the Creamery and watched all the kids go by. Strasburg is a adorable little town and the Inn is on the Main corner of town. The history of this town is very interesting. We enjoyed Saturday at the Strasburg Train Museum and the Cherry Crest Adventure Farm. It was a fun filled day with our family. I would recommend all of it for a weekend getaway.

Having visited the area before, we decided to stay in a place a bit different from the normal hotel/motel. We were very pleased with our visit, the room, and the staff service. It is in a very pleasant location for an after dinner walk, as well as being near many places to visit and things to do.

We enjoyed our stay at the Strasburg Village Inn very much and would definitely stay there again! The only complaint was the dining set up. We enjoy sitting at a larger table with the other guests rather than sitting at individual tables. The food was good but we enjoy a more sociable dining experience.
5 on October 24, 2010
The room was very clean, the staff friendly and the fudge in the main lobby offered to guests day and night was delicious. We will definitely stay there again!

My husband and I only stayed one night, as this was the end to a long weekend of travel. Robin was wonderful, attending to every need, offering dining advice, and even offering extra time for checkout so we could do a little more exploring. We loved the building and having the wonderful country store/ice cream shop (open until 9PM on a Sunday night!) right on premise was a neat bonus. Also want to add that the bed was extra soft and cozy, a big change from previous nights spent at a hotel. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

While we have stayed at many B&Bs in Europe, we weren't sure of what to expect here. Both Cindy and Don were gracious, helpful, and accommodating. This included recommendations for attractions, their hours of operation, and directions. Cindy was most gracious in providing alternatives for food allergies. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a wide variety of choices. Even though we stayed for multiple nights, the room was cleaned each day and fresh linens were provided. The Inn provided a quiet, warm, and quaint atmosphere. We will definitely return the next time we are in the Strasburg area!

This was the first time my wife ever had the chance to stay at a bed and breakfest. I found it on the computer and checked it out. We called and made our resorvations then. When we arrived we met Cindy and Don and they welcomed us there and talked to us and anwsered any questions we had and showed us to our room and where everything was. then the next morning we had breakfest and it was great. We talked with them and the other guest that was there. We became friends with them and we felt so relaxed is was well worth it. If you're in this area this is a great place to stay.

having never stayed at a B&B, we did not know what to expect. What an awesome experience. My wife and I were in Strasburg for the Living Waters Christmas Show and booked an overnight at the B&B. Very clean, very well run and the staff was extremely helpful and down to earth. Will definately be back in the spring!

We brought our 2 and 4 year old kids to see Thomas the Tank Engine at the Strasburg Railroad, and this cozy B & B totally exceeded our expectations! Our room was clean and the decor was very tasteful. The modern bathroom had a heatlamp, which the kids loved! We had a door that opened up to a private porch/balcony, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sight-seeing. It was also great for taking in the calm and beauty of the early PA morning. Despite being relatively new to the Inn (7/09), Cindy & Don were very professional and hospitable innkeepers. Cindy's breakfasts were out-of-this-world-delicious! After hearing that I was interested in history, Don showed me some of his Civil War memorabilia. They were both very personal and friendly, especially towards our kids. The adjoining creamery with their homemade icecream and deli-style menu was an added bonus. The "general store" part of the creamery was a hit with the kids - candy, sweets, and treats, not to mention local products, mixes, and food. What a relaxing and much-enjoyed long weekend! When we return to Lancaster, we'll be back here!

the room and ambiance was great. it was the cheap corner room so it was noisy. new owners took over the last day we stayed there so things might change for the better. the a/c was directly at the foot of the bed and blew straight towards you, it was horrible for sleeping but with the canopy bed we just put the blanket ovet it and it was a lot better.

I only stayed for one night at the Strasburg Village Inn as I was passing through town, but I thought for the money that the value was excellent. I would definitely stay there again as an alternative to a hotel. I only have two criticisms of my stay. Although the town of Strasburg is charming, I would recommend ear plugs at night as the traffic is very loud. And as far as B&B's go, this Inn does not offer the traditional home-cooked breakfast but rather something more comparable to a free continental breakfast at a local hotel. All in all though, very worth the money I paid.
