If you want to get away from it all, this is definitely the place! The nearest restaurant is about 10 miles away, and the nearest gas station, about 25. The property surrounding the house is, however, serenely peaceful and beautiful, not to mention good for bird-watching! My husband and I stayed at Spruce Creek Overlook for 3 nights in October 2015, in celebration of our 32d Anniversary. The accommodations were perfect: very clean and comfortable. I was a tiny bit disappointed in the breakfast part. Pastries and fresh fruit were left for us the night (or afternoon) before. I, for one, need to start my day with protein, not sugary carbs. Since the property (which is quite lovely) is situated on a dairy farm, I was hoping for good, hearty country breakfasts. The privately-located hot tub was the best part of our stay! Linda is a gracious hostess, but she might want to update these pictures - improvements have been made that make this a great place to just relax and unwind.

My husband and I stayed September 2013 and have nothing but wonderful memories. The area is breathtaking and the weather was awesome while we were there. We made dinner over the fire nearly every night, and spent time in the hot tub before bed. We look forward to our next trip here.

Our stay was so relaxing and pleasant due to the wonderful experience we had with this B&B. It was so clean and inviting. The view was gorgeous. The breakfast items provided daily were delicious and perfect! We enjoyed the hot tub and the fires at night. The owners were very accommodating. We would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting a relaxing get-away. Tina and Michael and sons

Beautiful and comfortable bedrooms. Great stream in the yard that had wonderful trout fishing. The hot tub was a great way to end the day while watching the stars and fireflies.

My husband and I needed a weekend to ourselves to enjoy each other and have our privacy. This was my first stay at a B&B and it was amazing! You get your own room (2 to choose from) own bathroom and living room with TV. The breakfast was simple and Linda stocked it for you with few pastries fruits, bread yogurt tea and coffee. The best part was the private hot tub and the View. Wow the view was amazing. Right by the creek that was peaceful and full of birds. You are not too far away from State College and it's an easy drive there and you are very close to the Indian and Lincoln Caverns.(recommend Indian) Overall if you are looking for privacy, relaxation and beautiful nature view, Spruce creek overlook B&B is perfect:)
