It was July 2002 when I stayed there. And yes, I remember it all! It was a warm and cozy place for all my bridesmaids to stay the night before the wedding. The food for the rehearsal dinner was fabulous. Can't wait to come back for a weekend getaway!

For anyone accustomed to 4 and 5 star accommodations in a large city, The Georgian Inn will not measure up. Although the structure is very interesting, detailed maintenance does not seem to be a priority. The exterior of the building is becoming shabby and the main entrance needs a fresh coat of paint and some caulking. Because I stayed in the Lake View Room, I can only speak to my experience. The inn does not have an elevator so anyone who stays on the 3rd floor will need to carry their own bags or prevail upon the staff. At check in, the concierge was most gracious and promptly offered to do just that. The rooms on the 3rd floor share a common thermostat so an individual guest has no control over the temperature in his/her room. The floors creaked and I was very conscious of trying not to waken the guests in the room below. I've traveled all over and stayed in a variety of accommodations, The Georgian Inn is a three star at best and that could be stretching it a bit. The staff were very kind and gracious. The owners need to hire someone with an eye for detail to freshen up the structure and a good decorator to show the rooms to advantage. This place could be a five star inn. It's just not anywhere near that yet. Great view out the back of the inn. The bathroom needs attention to safety in that there was no grab bar nor rubber mat for the tub. Older guests might be in danger of falling.

My boyfriend and I were able to get away for a long weekend, and we were browsing Bed and Breakfast locations fairly close to our area. When we found The Georgian Inn, we fell in love. The Georgian Inn is absolutely beautiful!!! The staff is helpful and available to answer questions prior to your stay and during your stay. Everyone was polite, respectful, and absolutely delightful. The food is wonderful! We enjoyed two breakfasts, an afternoon tea, and a Tapas tasting. The rooms are gorgeous. We stayed in the Trumbauer Room and loved it. We will surely return to The Georgian Inn!!!
