We love staying at B&B's because we love the experience and great service. Nothing had us prepared for the unbelievable experience we had. The suite we stayed in was almost as big as house and it was beautifully decorated. The bedding and towels were superb and the even had Le O'ccitane soap and hair products. They had complimentary water, soda, snack packs and baked goods that night. As great as all of that was the real pleasure came with our breakfast. The night before they asked us what we wanted to eat and what time we wanted it at! I asked for eggs Benedict with crab meat and my husband requested pancakes with apples and walnuts. They didn't just accommodate us but the meal was outstanding. We also were served scones (the best I ever had) bacon, sausage and an amazing apple dish and I wish I didn't forget the name of it. We have never experienced anything like this place and I don't know if Scranton realizes how lucky they are to have such a gem in their city.

Our stay at the Cleland House Bed & Breakfast exceeded all of our expectations. Our family of 4, including 2 teenage daughters spent two relaxing nights here in August and awoke to breakfast service that really impressed. We selected from the breakfast menu that included decadent eggs benedict, heavenly French toast, and scrumptious fruit crepes among other breakfast delights. We chose indoor seating, but you can also sit outside on the spacious garden patio. The handsome guest suites and gilded bathroom tiles in the spacious bathroom made us made us feel like royalty. It’s clear that our host intends the Cleland House to be ranked at the top of the Bed & Breakfast lists in the country. The attention to detail is meticulous, the personal service is comforting and welcoming and décor transports you to a time comfort and style were key.

We love staying at bed and breakfasts but we have never experienced anything even close to this nice. The facility is awesome, the staff could not have been more attentive and the food was unreal. They actually made us a custom breakfast of what we wanted and at the time we wanted it and it was great. This will surely win every award that is offered and we couldn't recommend it more highly. It was also less pricey than two hotel rooms at the in town hotels. Wow

Had a great luncheon and tour of the gorgeously restored home that is now a B & B. The owner has taken great pains to restore this home to reflect it's former glory. Original woodwork, wainscoting, floors and ceilings have been meticuliously repaired Just gorgeous, with original paintings, tiles, fireplaces and Tiffany lamps married with matching antiques and contemporary pieces that blend well makes this a beautiful space to occupy. Fantastic attention with a great eye to feature to every detail to it's keen advantage. Very professional waitstaff. Highly recommended for accommodations or a very appealing meeting place.
