Chestnut Hall Bed and Breakfast

We have stayed at Chestnut Hall Bed and Breakfast so many times that we have lost count! There is not one negative thing we can say about Steve and Tina or their inn. The rooms are so spacious and they have thought of every detail to make it perfect. Breakfasts are out of this world in both taste and size! There is something special about staying here; we always meet the nicest people and have such a relaxing, wonderful time that's why we always return at least 2-3 times a year. It is truly like a home away from home.

If you want to be pampered this is the place to go! Outstanding food, service, rooms, you name it. The owners are the friendliest people you will ever meet and very knowledgable about the area. The house is simply beautiful! Without a doubt I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

I'm not sure where to begin on how wonderful this B&B is. Their attention to detail is unbelievable and they make you feel at home the minute you arrive. The food is absolutely amazing and the rooms are wonderful! I just can't say enough about the place and I think all should stay there if they have the opportunity to do so.

Tina and Steve have created a intricately decorated space that is warm and inviting with new things to discover around ever corner. Whether you choose to rest inside by the fire with a cookie and some cocoa or explore the local interests- you will not be disappointed.

A gorgeous, beautifully maintained and decorated, Victorian home. The hosts, Steve and Tina, were friendly, helpful, and gracious. Tina is knowledgeable about places to eat and what to see and do in the area. The suggestions she makes match your interests making your stay more enjoyable. She did not steer me wrong. The breakfasts were yummy. Will return if in the area.

The Innkeepers are wonderful people. Steve and Tina are as professional and hospitable as you could ever wish for, regarding a B&B operator. The Chestnut Hall is a superbly decorated and truly comfortable Victorian facility. Great location away from the hustle of Gettysburg, yet close to everything you would want to see and do. The BEST B&B we have visited over the last 8 years together. The ONLY B&B we have stayed at twice.

Steve and Tina welcomed us into their home with great hospitality. From the minute you walked into the parlor you were made to feel at home. Steve's "over the top" breakfast was wonderful! If we are ever in the area again, we surely would want to stay here!

My daughter and I stayed at Chestnut Hall and had a perfect weekend getaway. Tina and Steve were amazing hosts and no detail went untended - even delicious midnight snacks waiting down in the parlor. We adored our stay and will return. The Walnut Room was perfectly appointed, and so so comfortable (there is some traffic noise in the room because it's in front of the house, but they thoughtfully provide earplugs for those that are noise sensitive). A perfect place to relax during a visit to Gettysburg or for the knick-knack/antique freak.

The stay at Chestnut Hall was everything one could ask for an more. Your B&B is just beautiful, and there are so many little touches in addition the more obvious ones. The fireplace in the room was a great bonus, food was delicious, and you are so gracious!!!

My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay for "Remembrance Day" weekend. We were unable to find any place to stay in Gettysburg since everything was booked up and very expensive. I looked into this b&b since it was close to Gettysburg (15 minutes away) and the prices were so reasonable. I am so glad that I did! The house itself is gorgeous! Everything is done in victorian style and the antiques in this house are incredible. I couldn't believe how immaculate this place is. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. Our room was called "The Vineyard" which is located at the back part of the house. Its very private and quiet. The room is very cozy and comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size. The stained glass windows added charm to the room. The bed itself was probably the most comfortable bed i've ever slept in! It was amazing! Not to mention down pillows! They also provide you with chocolates in the room and sparkling cider with champagne glasses. What a wonderful touch! The bathroom had a claw foot tub which can be a little challenging to some but it worked fine for us. The towels were thick and soft. Down the hallway in a large closet they have a small fridge with sodas and water for the guests. They even have an ice machine and snacks free of charge. The innkeepers Steve and Tina were as nice as can be. They really made us feel welcomed in there beautiful home. Steve is an amazing cook! The breakfasts were filling and out of this world! We truly were pampered here. It was very hard for us to leave but we will definately be back next year for the Remembrance Day celebration. Thank you Steve and Tina for a wonderful weekend!

Breakfasts were divine and Tina made absolutely sure each of us got what we wanted/needed. Mahogany Room was great because it is 2 rooms with a door so my friend didn't have to hear my snoring. Tina and Steve were friendly and made themselves available when needed.

My husband proposed to me at Chestnut Hall so it will always be a special place. It was a no-brainer for us to celebrate our first year of marriage by returning to the place that started it all. So romantic, the place is fabulous with all the Victorian antiques. The breakfasts were outstanding and Steve and Tina could not be more perfect Innkeepers. They are very friendly, professional, make you feel right at home, and are exceptionally knowledgeable about the area. They had plenty of recommendations for things to do and how to make our stay even better. Thank you Steve and Tina, we'll be back!

We spent one night at Chestnut Hall. We wish we could have stayed longer. The innkeepers were sweet and helpful, the food was great, the Inn itself was interesting and immaculate. We will return!

My husband & I received this vacation as a gift from our children. We couldn't have received a better gift. This B&B is just a few minutes away from soo much! Tina & Steve were such gracious hosts! The food was divine & plentiful. The house was an architectural marvel!

Chestnut Hall is a beautiful Victorian B&B. The decor is classic Victorian. The breakfasts were delicious. The innkeepers, Steve & Tina, were friendly, helpful, and extremely accommodating. The inn is very close to historic Gettysburg.

Chestnut Hall B & B was absolutely wonderful from the moment we set foot on the porch! The house is Victorian inside and out, through and through - simply gorgeous and very inviting (the rooms are so much more than even the pics can convey)! The porch and lovely gardens boast several quiet spots. The hospitality was outstanding -- both Steve and Tina were very helpful and made us feel right at home. And the breakfast was scrumptious and filling. This is by far the best bed and breakfast we've been to and we'll definitely return when we're in the area again. If you're looking for a weekend refresher, romantic getaway or just want to relax, this is the place to go!

Tina and Steve were delightful! The B&B is finely decorated and as described on their web page. Tina and Steve go out of their way to ensure that your stay is as easy and wonderful as possible - from providing tea and coffee all day long, cookies after you return from a long day of adventure, adjustments to your breakfast as needed, great conversation, fluffy bathrobes, your room turned down at night, a small guest area where drinks and snacks are provided, I could go on, but trust me this is one place you want to stay!

From the moment we entered the door we were made to feel like old friends. The antiques were beautiful, our room quaint and quiet. The breakfast was better than any first class restaurant! We even got a goody bag when we couldn't finish to take on our journey. We plan on making this a yearly visit.

One of the nicest experiences in a B&B ever. Had driven past several times over the years on business, referred to Chestnut Hall via business associate. He "Warned" me how nice it would be------total package --- Especially the food! He was right! We will be back!

Tina and Steve have created a Bed & Breakfast that you soon won't forget. Our stay there was just wonderful this past August, our room was so lovely and the food incredible. Looking so forward to having a "Sisters' weekend sometime soon. Their hospitality is very genuine, not at all put on.....makes you feel like home.

We had a lovely weekend at Chestnut Hall B&B. Tina and Steve are wonderful hosts. They even found ballroom dancing for us.

Tina and Steve provide an excellent B&B in a fabulous historic setting! We felt comfortable from the very beginning and our stay kept getting better. The food was excellent and served with flare. The information they shared helped us to find activities of interest without wasting time. Without a doubt, the best B&B experience we have ever had.

This is a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend in highly. I've been there twice now and will go again and again.

We spent two nights at this beautiful Victorian era home and will be returning later this Spring. Our room was super clean and a a pleasure to stay in. The common areas of the home are equally charming and clean. The innkeepers have a nice attention to detail and cook an excellent breakfast.

I have traveled the world, stayed in exotic and wondeful places, but have never been as comfortable and welcome as when I stay at Chestnut Hall. The Inn Keepers are professional, meticulous and and yet add so much to the warmth and serenity of their lovely home. I am truly looking forward to my next visit.

We stayed at Chestnut Hall on the weekend of 10/23/2009. My husband and decided to get away at the last minute. We reserved the last room available. The breakfast is outstanding. Have already recommended to others. :)

The inn keepers Tina and Steve are absolutely wonderful, warm and gracious host, I can't say enough nice things about them. Chestnut Hall has become mine and my sisters favorite place for our sisters getaway, we are going for our third visit this year! The inn is so welcoming and the decor is breathtaking! The breakfast are positively to die for. We first visited the in two years ago and fell in love with it and left with two new friends(Tina & Steve). If you choose to stay at Chestnut hall you would not be disappointed! In one word I would simply describe it as "PERFECT". ~Laura~ (OH)

My husband and I stayed at the Chestnut Hall B&B for two nights, the weekend of Oct. 23rd, 2009. We wanted a B&B that was close to Gettysburg. We were also interested in the haunted aspects of the inn. We stayed in the Walnut Room. Steve and Tina are wonderful hosts. They took the time to talk to us and provide us with recommendations for local dining and tours (which we followed and were excellent!). Although we didn't experience anything paranormal, we had fun talking with Steve about his book and about a New Oxford ghost tour he put together. The house is very elegant, yet homey - and spotlessly clean. There were always snacks and gourmet teas, coffee and hot chocolates as well as soda and water available. The beds were very comfy with luxurious linens and soft feather pillows. We loved the private balcony off of our room. They provided a hearty breakfast each morning which was was served on elegant china. We would not hesitate to recommend this B&B and hope to visit it again.
