Birthday and Valentine's Day Celebration - Shawn and Ginger Furlow

    March 15, 2013

Pleasant View Farm Bed and Breakfast was strongly recommended to my husband and I by our family doctor. The Doctor was very enthusiastic and could not keep himself from giving us all the wonderful details. We had never been to a Bed and Breakfast before so we thought we would try it out in celebration of my husband's birthday and Valetine's Day. We stayed for one night in the Gettysburg Room from 02/09 - 10/13. Everything about the place was absolutely beautiful. Our room had everything we needed including movies, popcorn and a couple of sodas and water. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub, fireplace and the soft cozy robes. Right outside our room were the horse stables. In the evening we went into the main house to play pool. Nancy and her daughters greeted. As we were playing pool and enjoying the massage chair, Nancy brought us a beer and glass of wine while contemporary music played. When we were getting ready to go back to our room, we stopped and had a nice conversation with Nancy and her adopted daughters from China about the Chinese New Year. We were also offered some beautiful cupcakes that their Chinese Foreign Exchange student made that day. In addition to talking to the family, we also enjoyed being greeted by their two well behaved dogs. In the morning we enjoyed a Chinese New Year themed breakfast which was not only beautiful but delicious and had wonderful conversation with Nancy, Mike and one of their daughters. It was such a nice time for our first bed and breakfast experience that we already have talked about going back when it's warmer out so we can enjoy the land more. We are also thinking of having our youngest daughter's birthday party there since they hold parties in addition to the Bed and Breakfast. Mike and Nancy are two of the nicest people and will make you feel right at home. My husband and I recommend Pleasant View Farm Bed and Breakfast to anybody looking to get away even if it's just for one night.

    RELAXING & UPLIFTING

    October 05, 2012

My wife and I spent several days at the Pleasant View Farm while visiting our daughter. She, and we were unfamiliar with the B&B when we booked our visit. The location, grounds, and all accomodations were five star. The McKinney family is exceptional, and represent the best example of interpersonal engagement, and goodwill that my wife and I have encountered in all our travels. We most certainly will return..We both believe that we have found new friends in the Harrisburg area, and would certainly welcome them as neighbors if they would elect to relocate. Truly exceptional people who have created an exceptional retreat. ANTHONY TSAPPIS, M.A., PH.D. LODI, CA

    Wonderful stay!

    July 15, 2012

My husband and I stayed there on our wedding night. The honeymoon suite was amazing. We wish it was our master bedroom. We had a perfect night to end the perfect day. The breakfast the next morning was delicious, thanks to Nancy. We met Mike and the girls, and they were all very hospitable. We spent a few hours fishing at the pond before we left. Although it was very close to home, we hope to return someday.

    We had the best time!

    June 06, 2012

My wife, kid and I stayed here in the Lancaster room for a night. We enjoyed the serene location and wonderful hospitality of Nancy and Mike. The Lancaster room was large, spacious and exactly as described. This place is a gem but still just a few miles away from the comforts of bigger towns. I want to specially commend the breakfast. What a filling breakfast, prepared with love and care. Would go back for another vacation in a heart beat!

    Pleasant View Inn

    October 19, 2011

Pleasant View Inn My wife and I first stayed at the Inn for several days in May 2011. Based on our recommendation, my family took over (literally) the entire Inn for a long weekend in early October 2011 in connection with a family reunion being held in the area. We occupied all the rooms in the Carriage House and Main House. The Inn and all rooms are picture perfect. A beautiful farm layout, lovely main house, superior rooms and furnishings, first class common areas, and outstanding breakfast. Nancy is an excellent Chef. Nancy and Mike, as well as their two girls, really make you feel at home.
