Our stay at Speedwell Forge was amazing! The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the hospitality was wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about our stay and would not hesitate to return and to also spread the word to our friends and family. Thank you Dawn and Darin for a memorable trip!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Speedwell Forge Bed & Breakfast, so much so that we stayed an extra night! We stayed in the very romantic Paymaster's suit. Adding to the romance, we ordered the picnic basket of treats from our lovely hostess, Dawn. We enjoyed Dawn's homemade bread and brownies alongside a variety of cheeses and fruit, and sparkling apple cider. (The ginger jam was delicious!) All this sitting outside, in this beautiful place, waiting to have our couple's massage. What an awesome experience! Dawn was the perfect hostess. Not only does she cook a scrumptious breakfast , accommodating her guests every dietary need, she is also a wonderful conversationalist and genuinely seems to enjoy what she does. Her passion for the care of the wolves in the sanctuary and knowledge of each wolf's personal history shows very clearly. We plan to visit again for our 1 year anniversary.

Our room was lovely, quiet and overlooked the picturesque creek that runs through the property. The three-course breakfast was a treat and the host had no issues accommodating special dietary needs. The food was so delicious no one would have known the chef was working around two separate sets of dietary restrictions. Having access to spend time observing the wolves at your leisure is another excellent reason to stay at the B&B when visiting the Wolf Sanctuary. We are already planning our next visit.

This was most likely our sixth visit. Aside from a beautiful, relaxing, comfortable, very immaculate place to stay, Dawn is so sweet, makes a wonderful breakfast each morning, asks all the necessary questions to determine food requirements/allergies, and provides information on local restaurants, things to see, auto repair needs, etc. And then, there are the soothing sounds of the resident wolves howling! There are scheduled tours and occasional events to attend.

Stayed at Speedwell Forge B&B over the Valentine's Day weekend. It was wonderfully romantic and fully relaxing! The grounds and Wolf Sanctuary were the perfect background to a stunning winter vacation. I have never stayed in a room that was as clean as this one. Breakfast was super tasty with unique dishes. Quiet, relaxing, magical with wonderful inn keepers. Will return for another stay!

This is the cleanest, most relaxing place I've ever stayed. The hosts are so welcoming, breakfast is delicious and the atmosphere is great. Of course, being located next to the wolf sanctuary makes it extra special.
Technically, the two antique Eastlake beds are "three-quarter size" (between a twin and a full), but we like to think of them as "perfect size" for two people traveling together. The large peaceful room has a matching Eastlake marble-topped dresser and nightstand and two comfortable chairs.
The master bedroom at our Pennsylvania Dutch Country Bed and Breakfast is bright and airy, with a high ceiling, large windows, and detailed woodworking. The room features a super comfortable queen-size bed with an open canopy, romantic fireplace, and a hand-carved corner closet.
This private single story cottage is absolutely the best way to experience Lancaster County. Located on the Speedwell Forge property next to the Wolf Sanctuary of PA, you can pass your time away in quiet splendor after a day of touring all that Lancaster County and surrounding counties have to offer.
This amazing private cottage, with its floor to ceiling brick gas fireplace, oversize whirlpool bath and king-size bed, includes a beautiful view of the creek and our property. It is a wonderful and serene way to unwind. The Paymaster helps you to find the peace of nature and absorb the historical settings offered at Speedwell Forge. It's possible you may never want to leave.
