We enjoy Spring here in Lancaster County. Lovely weather, lovely gardens, fresh displays of spring color and gardens responding to gentle touches of the gardener. Farmer’s are planting seeds of hope for harvest, not many months away!Friday mornings is my time to go “gather” food for the weekend, for us and for our guests here at Stumptown Manor Bed and Breakfast.

5 out of 5Terrific, Outstanding and Better Than Home
June 09, 2012
I've never slept better than at Stumptown Manor. The beds were so comfy, the room so clean and the atmosphere was the best ever. We spent a week Mother/Daughter vacation in Lancaster, PA. Stumptown Manor was our home, Sharon and Carl are family. Our Hosts always asked if we needed anything, we had an endless supply of coffee and home brewed tea. The breakfast, was nothing out of a box, it was all hand made by Sharon; fresh fruit, pastries, and different receipts from Amish Country. Sitting on Stumptown Manors front porch, watching the birds, bunnies, squirrals, traveling horse and buggy Amish Families was one of my most favorite memories. Sharon and Carl guided us to the best spots in PA, things to see and experience, they even invited us to a show. WOW.....I miss them. I will be certain to return, next time with my hubby, and after he meets Carl he won't want to come home, they have so much in common. Anyhow, I can not say enough good things about Stumptown Manor and its Host. It was a wonderful vacation with my mother, one we will remember forever. Thanks Sharon and Carl. 5 out of 5Outstanding! As comfortable as visiting family.

Sharon and Carl are welcoming caring hosts with an exceptional attention to service. A home away from home with a new baby is hard to find but the considerations made for us kept our little one happy and us very happy. Thoughtful and DELICIOUS breakfasts and afternoon cookies catered to a post Turkey Hill Classic bicycle race appetite. The hosts were conversational but not overbearing. Highlights were mornings on the porch with coffee, bread from her sisters bake shop, delicious hot full breakfasts, a very comfortable bed and room, help from Sharon to find our way around the town to restaurants and shops. Sharon was even eager to hear about our daily explorations. Truly one of our very best local getaways. We will be back!
4.6 out of 5Nice quiet stay which accommodate my baby
April 16, 2012
Sharon, our host at Stumptown Manor readily offered to host us and our baby. She even prepared a playpan cum crib for my baby girl to sleep in and a high chair for her to join us during breakfast. Sharon is also very helpful giving us great suggestions for food and things to do over the weekend. The biggest draw must be the location and the tranquil surroundings. Its tucked away from the main streets so a car is a good idea but what you get is a really nice quiet environment and beautiful grounds. Best rest we had in a long time.

4.0 out of 5Great B&b
August 15, 2011
We have spent two years returning to this B&B with kids and family. The owners are so friendly and accommodating! There is a big yard with a covered deck in the back of the house with picnic tables and they told us where to get "Amish takeout" and even provided a tablecloth so we could eat dinner outside. This year they provided some names so we could eat dinner with an Amish family (no electricity!) which was an amazing experience. The breakfast is superb - baked oatmeal, fresh fruit, a delicious egg casserole. We will be back!
