Kevin - From NJ. We just got back & wish we were still there!!! We stayed at the Cottage. It is like having your own mini old time home and its very close to the main B&B house. Verna the innkeeper is a very nice humble lady of faith, we felt welcome from the start. She took the time to point out some good stops on our map, which was helpful. We did the in room massage service, price was a little high. But take it from someone who has had a decent amount of massages in their time, the massages were good. In the morning we were blessed with a very yummy home made Dutch style breakfast, even the fruit spreads were home made. I was happy and full by the end of our breakfast. Our only regret out our stay was that we should have done 2 nights and not just 1. We thought we would want to try a different B&B next time before our stay - but after our experience we plan to come rite back to Verna and Rocky Springs this coming Spring or Fall... The grounds themselves also have allot of history, hurricane Sandy brought in cold weather. So we didn't walk them too much, but we seen enough to know. It will be a neat longer walk for our next stay, in warmer weather!!!

If you are considering staying at the Cottage at Rocky Springs, don't hesitate any further. I am so glad I locked up two nights in this quaint, little private house on the property when I did. My wife was thoroughly surprises and we were able to make the Cottage feel just like home. Very private, and the ability to have breakfast on the patio or by the fire place down there was an amazing perk. Speaking of breakfast, Verna's cooking was unbelievable. We had two truly amazing, and filling, breakfasts. The entire Rocky Springs ground is rooted in an entertaining history, one which we loved exploring on Friday when we arrived, and later walking around. Getting into downtown Lancaster is a cinch – 10 minute drive, tops, and cabs readily available as well. And venturing to Bird-in-Hand or Intercourse is only a little further. We'd love to come back again; we'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely B&B in Lancaster.

Had a wonderful get away, even though it was only for 1 night we could not have been more pleased with our wonderful inn keeper who made us feel so at home. Would definately revisit this lovely place!

We had a lovely stay at the Rocky Spring B&B. In the past we have stayed nearer Gap for business reasons but the Rocky Springs nwas recommended as the Ellemaker B&B was no longer in operation. The room was comfortable and beautifully appointed and our hostess Verna whom we knew from the Ellemaker was as always delightful and makes the best breakfasts ever! The Rocky Springs has a wonderful history and used to be a very popular amusement park. A few of the "props" still remain including the old ticket booth advertising rides for 15cents and the beautiful gazebo type building that housed the carousell. We suspected that many romances had their beginnings at this beautifully landscaped property. We met at least 2 couples whose parents had in fact met at the Rocky Springs Amusement Park and whose marriages are still going strong. A hard act to follow these days! We recently stayed 3 nights in the Figaro room at Rocky springs B & B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was excellent and we really enjoyed our chats with Verna who was a wonderful hostess and source of information for location attractions etc. Would highly recommend staying in this B & B. My husband and I stayed for one night at this B&B in the Trissler Room. The house and room were beautiful with period pieces and decor yet a much appreciated modern bathroom. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was huge and delicious. Verna was a charming hostess, very accommodating and easy to get along with. We didn't have a chance to explore the grounds, but the setting was very peaceful but not too remote from the main areas of Lancaster. We hope to make it back one day!

The caretaker was outstanding in her availability and service. My wife and I enjoyed waking up every morning to finely brewed beverages and delightfully crafted breakfasts. This is just what we've needed, a quiet and relaxing getaway.

This is a beautiful property that has been lovingly restored. The rooms are nicely appointed (although our lacked a closet), and the beds are very comforatble including the daybed that our daughter slept on in our room. In August breakfast was served on the deck overlooking the creek andthe old carousel building, and was delightful.

Ann did a great job during our stay in this B&B. It is a lovely place to stay, especially the park with the old buildings of the amusementspark it once was. Peaceful en quiet and the house is truly magnificent. Our first impression was to buy it immediatly :) Ann was a charming hostess and provided us with everything we wanted.. We surely recommend this B&B to everyone.

My husband and I wanted a peaceful relaxing weekend, and boy did we get it! We stayed in The Cottage, which is tucked just behind the main house. Everything was very clean, up to date and decorated just as a relaxing cottage should be. I did not want to leave! Breakfast was absolutely delicious, hmm, could that be because it was delivered to us?? The grounds at Rocky Springs are beautiful and we took them up on their offer to roam around. We saw a few cats and even a fox! We will definitely be repeat customers and will be recommending this B&B to all our friends and family. Thanks for a much needed relaxing retreat!

Recently spent our Anniversary here and couldn't have been more pleased. The Inn was absolutely charming and kept immpeccable! Breakfast was delish, and Anne, the innkeeper was wonderful! The history surrounding the place only added to its charm. Only sorry we could stay one night. Will definitely be back!

This B & B is located just outside the city and across from Conservation areas. It was a quiet location yet close to the city. We very much appreciated our welcoming hostess Anne and our walk around the old amusement park grounds.

Had a wonderful weekend at Rocky Springs Bed and Breakfast. Last time we stayed in the cottage and it was amazing. This time we were on a tighter budget and decided to stay in one of the rooms in the main house. We were pleased to discover that it was very comfortable and enjoyable as well. The breakfast each morning was delicious and Anne made you feel at home. We also had a chance to speak with the owner Elaine. The property is very pretty and it has an interesting history. My husband and I enjoy walking around the grounds and looking at the old amusement park structures. Rocky Springs is located in Lancaster and an easy drive to all of the major attractions. This time we did a lot of furniture/ primitives shopping in Intercourse and Strasburg and drove around the country side and across numerous covered bridges. Last time we visited Hershey as well. All easy to get to from this location. Dining suggestion - Be sure to visit the Lancaster Brewing Co. Delicious food and even better beer. We will definitely be returning to Rocky Springs B&B!!

Our first stop in the USA chosen at random from Hopkins&Marshall College list. It proved to be an excellent choice. Comfortable, spotless and a lovely welcome from the Housekeeper Anne whose culinary skills came into their own at breakfast. We enjoyed three nights at the start and another two at the end of our three week tour of PA, NC and VA

The cottage was wonderful! The food was great and plentiful. The location is great - secluded, but close to everything. The cost was comparable to other similar lodgings in the Lancaster area. When the grounds are restored, it will be an enchanting place to explore.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The cottage was every bit as good as it looks in the photos. Breakfast was fantastic. Anne, the innkeeper, was extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Had a nice walk along the grounds (very well kept) and enjoyed learning the history of the former Rocky Springs amusement park. Too bad we only booked a one night stay!

An absolute treasure in Lancaster. A warm, welcoming bed and breakfast. The Victorian decor is lovely, the furnishings are perfect, and the food... you just have to experience the bountiful breakfast.

We decided to take a mini vacation last weekend, and came across the Rocky Springs B&B website. The drive up was beautiful, the grounds were beautiful, the cottage was incredible. Ann was incredibly helpful, and made our stay more than we had ever expected. I would highly recommend this location to any of my friends and family. LOVED IT! If you do stay here try a restaurant called the Brasserie up the street. It was fabulous.

The innkeeper was friendly and welcoming! The breakfasts were fantastic and we were centrally located to everything we wanted to do. The cottage we stayed in was so cute and homey. My husband and I will definitely stay here again!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a romantic getaway weekend and we were pleasantly surprised not only with the room exceeding our expectations but breakfast brought to us in the cottage everyday was awesome! The food was incredible and abundant. We had an extraordinary time! The cottage was so romantic we hated to have to leave. The place was so clean and had everything you needed! There was no need to go out. I recommend this outrage to any couple looking to escape the everyday stresses and reconnect...the jetted tub And andles will help do just that. We enjoyed ourselves there so much that we are planning our ext trip

My husband and I stayed in the cottage at Rocky Springs B&B. It was luxurious, charming and cozy! If you want to feel like a princess, stay here! The property is gorgeous and the owner is extremely friendly. Breakfast was amazing as well! We will definitely be returning!

What a wonderful place! The history was what caught my attention. I caught myself thinking what it would have been like to visit when the park was there. We started our 8 day trip here and had a wonderful time. The room was great! The house and surrounding grounds was interesting. Diana was great! She recommended places to eat for dinner, gave us directions how to get there as well as nearby towns. My husband and I talked about coming back again when we could stay longer and not be rushed. We highly recommend Rocky Springs Bed & Breakfast for your stay. It's quite but still within a short distance to town. We stayed in the cottage which was attractive, cozy, private, and romantic. The grounds were very peaceful and we enjoyed walking around and exploring the history of the property. Staying in the cottage gave an option of having breakfast served to you in the privacy of the cottage - we took advantage of that nicety and enjoyed a leisurely romantic breakfast for two. The breakfast was outstanding. We hope to return to Rocky Springs.

We stayed at Rocky Springs for 2 nights over Veteran's Day weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. Diana was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Her breakfasts were delicious and very filling! You have access to the entire house including Diana's kitchen where everyone seems to congregate with a cup of coffee to chat. We will definitely be back!

Diana was phenomenal. She was personable, welcoming, and true hostess. The grounds were unique and interesting and the fairgrounds which used to be there added a very historical touch, and the house has a lot of charm. The room was decorated very nicely, but I would have liked better linens and towels in the place. The breakfast was delicious, but portions could have been bigger. We greatly appreciated the welcome basket which was placed in the room--what a wonderful touch! My wife and I overall enjoyed our stay and wish the owners and innkeeper well!

A unique place that offers a nice walk to the water and an historical look at an amusement park, yet close to the city. A great history of the place added to our stay. Diana Tiejaro did an excellent job. We will be back.

I'm not sure about the other rooms in the Inn, but the detached cottage was beautiful, well-appointed, and private. A fantastic place to stay, albeit, a bit pricey.

It was the perfect weekend getaway from the city. Very quiet surroundings and excellent host. Also, very close to downtown, covered bridges, and vineyards. We were a young couple and thoroughly enjoyed it. Request the peppered bacon when you stay, it's delicious.

It was obvious that this B&B was a labor of love. The room (Figari) was beautiful, and the innkeeper was very welcoming. While the grounds were less spacious than they appear in the photos, they are no less beautiful, especially the river. There is a great deal of local history in the location, and the efforts put in to discovering and organizing it are evident. Most definitely looking forward to staying again!

Rocky Springs was so beautiful and peaceful. My husband and I had an amazing time just relaxing and absorbing the beauty and history of this bed and breakfast. We felt right at home. What was also great is its location, minutes from everything lancaster has to offer. I would recommend this to anyone, and we will come back for sure.

The Cottage was beautiful, We didn't want to leave. My husband and I wanted a quiet time away from the kids and just relax we got just that in a most beautiful way. The breakfast was delicious and healthy. The breakfast was freshly made. OOOh my!!! The innerkeeper Diana was the best, easy to talk to and so fun. I just can't say enough. Our 2 night stay at Rocky Springs Bed & Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautifully groomed and the mystique of it formally being an old fashion amusement park in the early 1900's made my husband and I feel like we were staying in a truly magical place. We enjoyed walking the grounds and imagining what it felt to be a guest of the amusement park in it's day. The Inn Keeper, Diana, was delightful as she told us stories about the property and it's history. Diana greeted us with a warm welcome and we felt like family from the very start. She's also a great chef! Every nook and cranny in the B&B is thoughtfully decorated. Our room was so relaxing and comfortable we wanted to stay longer. The property is conveniently located within a few miles of all the sights and Amish influences we wanted to experience yet it felt like it was tucked away and secluded in it's own little corner of Lancaster. We highly recommend this lovely bed and breakfast and plan to return again.

My husband and i spent our honeymoon in the cottage at rocky springs bread and breakfast. The main house was decorated beautifully and the park grounds are filled with history. We highly recommend a stay in the cottage. It is cozy and clean with a comfortable queen bed, a spa tub with jets, and a luxury shower. This is the best place i have ever stayed at.

Had a very relaxing time at Rocky Springs and enjoyed the outside view as well as the cleanliness of the cottage and the house. Breakfast was supberb every morning and was brought to us in the cottage. We really miss it already and want to come back. Diane is wonderful and her hospitality is amazing. We had a good time there. One thing is that the bed is quiet old.

Thank you for coming to Rocky Springs. Three of our bedroom suites are antiques that have been carefully selected to reflect the time period of our house and have been completely refinished and modified to fit a queen size mattress. The queen bed in the Trissler room is an antique reproduction, made by a local craftsman. We have chosen Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses to assure that our guests have a comfortable night's sleep.

The cottage was great!!! Absoloutely beautiful! The breakfast was awesome!!!!! The outside gardens were beautiful!!! We loved it!

3 of us stayed in the Trissler room. Plenty of room and accomodations were beautiful. Lovely place to step back in time! The inn keeper was very pleasant and willing to accomodate. Breakfast was delightful - fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend.

We had the privilege of staying at Rocky Springs B&B on Saturday March 26, 2011. Elaine is a true delight when it comes to making sure you are comfortable and happy with your room. The history of this place is outstanding and Elaine can fill you in with many unique details of the property. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and served with love and care. I would recommend this place for a quiet get-away even if for just a day or a not-far-out-of town place to establish as your headquarters for several days of relaxing sight-seeing in the Lancaster, Pa. area.

We stayed at Rocky Springs Cottage. The accomodations were top notch. The park was quiet and peaceful. Located off the beaten trail this Inn is an escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Our innkeeper Elaine was very friendly and courteous. Her morning breakfast food was yummy! We will definitely return for another stay.

Decided to do a quiet weekend get away and what the perfect place to do this. The cottage was beyond perfect, so much more than I was expecting! We went in the dead of winter with snow capping the ground so we were unable to take advantage of the many acres of ground the bed and breakfast is located on, but just the view from our room was perfect. We are already looking into possibly going back in the spring or summer . Elaine, the owner was very kind and welcoming and had so much information to share about the history of the land the bed and breakfast was located on.

Rocky Springs is a beautiful bed and breakfast. We were lucky enough to stay in the Cottage for our Anniversary weekend. It is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was amazing!!! Our favorites were the Shoofly Pie, pumpkin muffins, quiche ... I could go on and on ... it was all delicious. The locations is unique and the grounds are fun to explore. Provides a peaceful retreat but yet easy access to tourist activities. Innkeeper is such a nice person and ensures your stay will be wonderful. Hope to come back one day!

we hade a wonderful stay in the cottage. Anne was very friendly and was able to share information on the grounds of the bed and breakfast. her breakfast was a very good start to the day and we could enjoy it on the patio of the cottage overlooking the grounds we will be returning again!

When we arrived at the Rocky Springs Bed and Breakfast we warmly greeted by our Innkeeper Anne who provided us with a little history of the house. Turns out that the manor house was just one of many buildings that made up the once historic Rocky Springs Amusement Park. Although part of the 35 acre park has been sold off over the years several of the old buildings surround the manor house adding to the nostalgia and charm. The lush landscape and shade trees surround and enclose the grounds thereby setting the tone of tranquility, relaxation and escape from the daily grind. Only the sound of nature could be heard. My wife and I found the manor house and room exceptionally clean. The authentic period furniture added to the quaintness of the home. As stated in another review "the inn had all the amenities of a five star hotel while maintaining the charm of a Bed & Breakfast" and we couldn't agree more. Our room was cozy, quiet and comfortable. And the service was top notch. Anne was not only a gracious host but very personable, interesting and she's a wonderful cook. We elected to have breakfast outside which we found very relaxing. Breakfast began with a soufflé made with fresh strawberries and rhubarb topped with meringue - it was exquisite. Keeping with the Pennsylvania Dutch theme a small piece of home made shoofly pie followed. Again, the pie was excellent as it was not too overladened with molasses and sugar. Lastly we were served omeletes made with fresh asparagus and roast potatoes topped with shredded cheese and complimented nicely with warm oat-nut toast. We recommend this B&B highly and cannot wait to plan our next stay.

What a lovely, charming delight tucked into the rural area of Lancaster..not far from the beaten path of business. It's taking a step back in time to relax and enjoy the beauty of living in splendor. All the qualities of comfort and tending to my needs were met and beyond. Very relaxing..which is what a B & B is all about! I will make a return visit.

Having been a frequent traveler to Lancaster County for the past fifteen years this location was truly a great find. There are cheaper lodging alternatives for those on a budget, but none of my previous experiences matches this one for luxury, comfort, and hospitality. My girlfriend and I arrived to a great welcome from Elaine the Innkeeper who gave us a tour of the facilities and our beautiful cottage. It was wonderfully adorned, spacious, and had all the amenities of a five star hotel while maintaining the charm of a Bed & Breakfast. The view of the river and the grounds from our private patio was exquisite. The service was exemplary and breakfast, which was delivered to our cottage, was served promptly at nine. The fresh baked treats and original entrees were excellent and consistent with B&B expectations. This was truly a romantic experience for our first trip together and provided memories that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend it for those celebrating a special occasion or just looking for the perfect escape.

If you want a nice, quiet place in Lancaster County this is the place. It is out in the country, but very easy to get to all the attractions! Lovely home and setting - a great Anniversary get away!
