My wife and I, and our daughter and her husband in a next door room, very much enjoyed the calmly beautiful ambiance of this lovely B&B, and the personality of it's hostess, Ann. This is an excellent place to stay. And the included breakfast was terrific, too.

I was headed to Hershey Park for the day and decided to make it a weekend adventure and stay here with Ann. I was traveling by myself and immediatly upon my arrival it felt just like home. Ann was so sweet and went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. The first morning here I was the only guest and she still made a wonderful breakfast just for me! Everyday I went out exploring and each night on my return my room had been straightened up and my bed made, which added a nice touch. This was my first B&B experience and I counldn't be happier that I found the Amanda Gish House and Miss Ann to share that with! This was a perfect relaxing and memorable weekend and I would recommend this B&B to anyone- and I did! Thank youi again, Ann! ~Bonnie Oistad, Rockville, MD

My husband and I stayed in the French Room for a few nights after Christmas. The room was clean, cozy, and warm. Each morning Ann served us a lovely breakfast and was completely sensitive to our dietary needs. We felt pampered and cared for. It was a lovely place to stay, with a lovely hostess.

"We found this the perfect haven after a busy day. We stayed in the luxurious & comfortable French room with its authentic and creative decor. Our lovely hostess, Ann provided a warm welcome with helpful suggestions & both fabulous and abundant food. It is practically across the street from the Masonic Village with easy access to the beautiful Lancaster County attractions."

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. We stayed in the Garden Room, which was both immaculate and tastefully decorated. The fresh local foods were deliciously and innovatively prepared, as well as tailored to our dietary tastes and restrictions. Ann and Dave were also very willing to help you with our travel plans and destinations that included many memorable sights and sounds. We will not only return on our next trip to Lancaster County, but also would recommend the Amanda Gish House Bed & Breakfast to anyone interested in a relaxing and an enjoyable stay with warm and inviting hosts.

Aunt Edna's Granola
Aunt Edna's Granola is a family recipe. Made with oats, honey, canola oil, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and nuts. It is typically served with fresh fruit and yogurt and is a healthy start for our delicious breakfast. We also use our homemade granola to make a scrumptious broiled grapefruit with brown sugar and butter.
