Stayed for two nights in late November. Beautiful little place, good food, good location. Loved everything about it.

If your looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay this is it. If you want some adventure, Gail is there to provide suggestions such as the Grand Canyon of Pa a short drive east, an hour drive south in Elk county you can see herds of wild elk and just minutes from the B & B is Cherry Spring State Park - a spectacular place to view the stars and planets on a clear moonless night. The rooms are very clean and well decorated with many antiques and Joes breakfast is always very well prepared and filling, served buffet style with all you want. john & sally

Our stay at Frosty Hollow was a little slice of rural heaven. We stayed in the Gooseberry Cottage which was cozy, comfortable, and very private. The innkeepers, Joe and Gail were very warm and welcoming. The scrumptious buffet-style breakfasts left us fueled for many hours of exploring the Pennsylvania Wilds. We never stopped for lunch during our entire stay! The only negative we found was that wifi was very patchy at the cottage. We could, however, get a connection on the porch, in the barn, or at the farmhouse.

My wife and I loved our stay at Frosty Hollow. The rooms were very nice and the whole property was gorgeous. For breakfast, the owners made stuffed French toast which was absolutely delicious. We would definitely like to stay here again when we have the chance.
5 on November 05, 2013
Frosty Hollow B&B was even better than I could have hoped. The room was spacious and clean, the property was beautiful, Gail and Joe were the perfect hosts. I could not have asked for a better place to spend the weekend!

Relaxing getaway, the owners are very helpful with local attractions and eateries, we will return.

This was a great getaway. We stayed in the cottage and it was so nice. Joe and Gail were great!

This was our first experience at a B&B and we can't wait to go back! From the star gazing at Cherry Springs State Park to the incredible breakfasts that we had, it was just a great experience. The were lots of great places to eat and lots of neat things to see, like the PA Grand Canyon and the Lumber museum. We also enjoyed meeting the other guests with whom we had a great game night.

It took 3 tries to get a reservation at Frosty Hollow, ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. Beautiful room, restful location, proprietors...kind and warm. We plan on returning as often as possible. Oh.. and excellent food.

So glad I "stumbled" upon Frosty Hollow B&B! Gail & Joe are the sweetest people who make you feel at home the minute you meet them. This was the best vacation we have taken and it was due to staying here. Every year in Oct we get away for a few days. Every year we have gone somewhere different. next year we plan on going back to stay with Gail & Joe again. Jay & Michele Charles

Beautiful farm and location. The sound of the babbling brook from our room made for restful sleep. This farm has history, charm and hardworking hosts who provided full country breakfast.

Gail and Joe are the kind of innkeepers who give the hospitality industry, not a good, but a great name! We are never disappointed and have been staying with them for over 20 years. We've watched them grow into a lovely bed and breakfast and we wouldn't think of staying any other place if they have availability. there should be an "outstanding +" rating for them.

Got in early afternoon. The room was ready and quite comfortable. After sightseeing I read literature about the area and the B&B, and went to a nearly restaurant for dinner. All went well, except for the strange heater controls in the room - got a tad chilly by morning. Hot breakfast was great. Would return in the future.

This was our second stay in the Loganberry Suite and it provided everything we needed. We love the quiet, peaceful surroundings, the beautiful starlit sky, and the delicious, bountiful breakfasts in the morning. Gail & Joe are the sweetest, down-to-earth hosts at this charming B&B. Their little Corgi, Maggie, loves to accompany us on walks around the property and she is like a little princess...always loving a chin scratch or belly rub. Hiking at the PA Grand Canyon this time of year is always a treat. The town of Wellsboro has great shopping and eateries and is a pleasant drive from the B&B. If country comfort is what you're looking for, look no further than Frosty Hollow.
5 on October 09, 2013
Frosty Hollow B&B was a country paradise escape. The rooms were clean and lovely with charming decor. Joe's cinnamon buns were rolls were the best we ever tasted. Gail and Joe were friendly hosts conversing with us during breakfast. Did not want to go home!

I stayed at Frosty Hollow for business purposes. I was doing work at Cole Memorial Hospital. It is conveniently located to the hospital (6 minute drive). The rooms were lovely, and the owners were very welcoming. Joe is a great cook! Breakfast was fantastic! The farmhouse was very quiet and comfortable.

The weather didn't cooperate for viewing the stars at Cherry Creek State Park (the reason for our visit) but our stay was top notch. Great value for the money with clean rooms, friendly hosts and a great breakfast, all on a beautiful property. What more could you ask for! Henry and Nancy

Frost Hollow Bed and Breakfast is located on a beautiful farm in Coudersport, PA. While there is not a lot to do in the area aside from check out nature or visit a state park, this bed and breakfast has exceeded my expectations yet again. My husband and I have stayed here several times and will continue going back whenever we travel up to the wineries in New York. Gail and Joe are friendly and definitely make you feel like you are at home. The food here is AMAZING and there is always plenty to eat at the buffet style breakfast. The rooms are very spacious and always clean. They even make the beds up here which is not something that all bed and breakfasts do!
5 on October 07, 2013
This Bed & Breakfast is truly amazing. The hosts are the best and make you feel part of their family. The price is much lower than the Bed & Breakfast we stayed in and the hospitality and breakfast is far more the best we've ever had.

This was our second time at Frosty Hollow. I'd come once a month if I could. There is something to do for everyone or like me, do nothing and read or knit. Gail and Joe are like family from the first time you arrive. Waking up to a hot breakfast on a cool fall morning is like heaven on earth!
5 on September 27, 2013
The entire experience was wonderful and the food was delicious. Will definitely return!

5 on September 24, 2013
Our stay at Frosty Hollow was perfect! Gail and Joe have created an oasis of calm in God's Country. Food is delicious, property is beautiful and the farmhouse was perfect. Enjoyed time star gazing in the yard then made our way to the screened in porch. Time spent chatting with new friends and old buddies, board games, good food...does life get better!? Rain on Saturday only added to the music of the weekend by dancing on the roof and serenading us to sleep. Do yourself a favor and spend some time at Frosty Hollow.
5 on September 23, 2013
While only one night, my stay at Frosty Hollow was wonderful. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The common space was welcoming for an evening chat with coffee and tea. The breakfast was phenominal. There were two quiches, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, coffee cake and even a cookie for the road. If you are visiting Cherry Springs State Park for a Dark Skies event, add this as your place to stay for the trip!

Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Boysenberry Room for our one year anniversary. It was the most relaxing place I've ever stayed. Everything was laid back and simple. The Farmhouse was much better than I expected. I made dinner the first night and I thought I'd have to bring all of the pots and pans etc, but I was gladly surprised when they had EVERYTHING. I couldn't find something they didn't have. They even had wine, champagne, and brandy sniffer glasses. The scenery was wonderful. The first night it showered all night so we just sat back and watched a movie. The second night was crystal clear and the view was AMAZING. Everything about this place was spectacular. You can't beat the food and company. I am absolutely coming back year after year to celebrate.

We had a wonderful stay as usual! Have been going to Frosty Hollow for 10 years now and it has always been my favorite place to stay. Joe and Gail are so sweet, accomodating and the breakfasts are out of this world. It is so nice to have a kid and pet friendly bed and breakfast and my children are always asking to go back, they cannot wait until our next stay. Thank you Joe and Gail for all of our wonderful Memorial day and Labor day weekends and all the times in between!

Frosty Hollow is delightful. We loved our host and hostess. Joe cooked for us and Gail entertained us with stories of the area. Breakfast was superb! Kudos Joe! Love the sausage egg casserole and the black raspberry cobbler especially! It sits on a beautiful piece of land. There is the barn, a cottage and the farmhouse. The bed was quite comfortable even though we prefer a king. The garden is lovely as is the pond in back of the farmhouse. The down side was that we shared the farmhouse with a family reunion. They really took over the place, kids things everywhere and no room in the fridge. Crying babies were not something you want to hear on an escape especially early in the morning. We would go back but we would first find out if any large family with kids were staying.

We were disappointed by the rain and cloud cover that made it impossible to see the stars but will definitely try again on another trip and stay here. Just sitting on their screened in porch and listening to the rain hit the tin roof made the evening pleasant. Run by a lovely couple who put their heart into making this an enjoyable experience.

We stayed in the farmhouse at Frosty Hollow and the room was very small and very dark - not enough lighting, but I guess for the price it was okay for one night. Breakfast was excellent - homemade, varied and very tasty.
5 on August 24, 2013
We came to see the stars at Cherry Springs State Park for a weekend getaway. We were not disappointed, either in the celestial show or Frosty Hollow B&B. Terrific breakfast both mornings. Lovely flower beds at the farm and a nice cozy screened-in porch made us stay at the farm longer...just to relax. Truly does feel like a "home away from home" which is all you can ask for in a Bed and Breakfast. We'll be back!

My husband and I wanted just a few days retreat in a quiet, scenic place. Frosty Hollow B&B is in a wonderful location in the country surrounded by beautiful mountains. A large choice of rooms with nice bathrooms and fluffy towels. Breakfast was served "buffet" style with several choices of wonderful specialties! We had the Blueberry Room in the main house and although lovely, we found it a bit noisy as it faced the road. It would be a wonderful family room. In fact, the whole place seems "family friendly" which is often hard to find in a B&B. Would give this retreat and good recommendation!

I had been to Frosty Hollow once before on a bit of a whirlwind business trip to the local hospital. But the few hours I spent there made such an impression, I had to bring my husband back. He was not disappointed. The location is beautiful, Joe and Gail are gracious, friendly hosts, and the breakfast is absolutely wonderful. We were looking for a simple evening of relaxation and were thrilled to find board games in our room. The windy mountain roads were an added bonus for my husband who likes to drive. Make a reason to come out to Coudersport!
5 on August 19, 2013
Thank you for a wonderful getaway Joe and Gail. The Rooms were wonderful! Breakfast was amazing and we loved meeting, chatting with and making new friends. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention your Gardens. . . fresh fruit and veggies, beautiful flower abound. You have a wonderful place and we absolutely look forward to our next visit!

Frosty Hollow is the perfect setting for your stay in the area.. The whole place is filled with lovely antiques, the rooms are beautiful and very clean and comfortable. Joe and Gail are always there to see to your every comfort. I am sorry I cannot rate the dining, we have never eaten breakfast there (only because we met friends in town for breakfast) I had to mark it and I did only because we are always told it is wonderful. so this survey continues. .We stay there every time we go to the area if they have a room free. I recommend it to all my friends heading that way and encourage them to look the B & B up on their web site. Beverly Johnson

We star gazed from the porch of our room. My boys had never seen the stars and planets with such clarity. They were simply amazed. We enjoyed the setting and walking through the orchard and gardens. If ever in the area, we would definitely stay here again. Very family friendly.

If you've never been to a B&B and are looking for peace and quiet try Frosty Hollow. You won't be disappointed! Clean and quaint. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety of fresh fruit and fresh from their garden seasoned tomato slices The biscuits and "Joes" sausage gravy.YUMMM Gail and Joe are great hosts. We stayed in the Gooseberry Cottage and it was in a word--charming. My husband and I went to do a little Star Gazing at Cherry Springs but as luck would have it there was not a star to be seen because of an overcast sky. Even with the lack of the intended stars we had a great, relaxing time and we plan to go back in the fall.

My family (2 children) and my parents spent 2 nights here. The Ayers are wonderfully friendly people who enjoy meeting new friends and are excellent hosts. The b&b is on the family farm. Although it's not a working farm any longer, our children enjoyed wading in the stream, petty the cat and dog and visiting with the chickens. Frosty Hollow is located in a rural country setting outside Couderspot which makes for a peaceful stay. All the rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and Gail greeted you each morning to describe the "special of the day". Overall this was an excellent value and we look forward to visiting them again soon.

We stayed at the Frosty Hollow B&B for two nights and were surprised at the large size of the room - a suite, really. The only negatives were the small size of the shower (but the bathroom itself was quite large) and the sheer curtains which let light into the living room, creeping into the bedroom. There are minor complaints - we loved the suite. And the country breakfast and coffee were delicious. Wish we'd had more time to explore the property, which included several bldgs. with guest rooms, a greenhouse, a country gift shop and numerous gardens - flowers were everywhere!

Two night mid-week stay in July with my daughter to visit Kinzua Bridge State Park, Cherry Springs State Park and the PA Grand Canyon. This was my first B&B stay and it couldn't have been better. Frosty Hollow was a great value! Convenient & less expensive than area hotels. Clean, quiet room, delicious breakfast. Nothing but good things to say about our stay. It was our first time in that area of PA and it really is beautiful. Quaint little towns all along Route 6. Would definitely recommend. Hoping to go back in the fall.

Frosty Hollow is every bit as sweet as it looks in the photos. Comfy, spic & span clean, country-style accommodations, & homespun friendly hospitality from owners Gail & Joe, family & pet-friendly, yet quiet, with lots of room for the kids to roam & play on the pretty grounds, window air & a Bioaire fan to keep us plenty cool in the Loganberry Loft during 85 degree days, enjoyed Joe's scrumptious homemade breakfasts & handmade breakfast cakes and even rice pudding, incl daily fruit, yogurt, cereal options if you want lighter fare, pretty hilly views, big porches for relaxing & enjoying the breezes to relax, enjoyed the nostalgia that came back seeing the sheets & pillowcases hanging out on the line everyday & the satellite on our room's flat screen tv was a nice bonus for family movie-watching. We'll return soon!

We stayed for 3 nights at Frosty Hollow. Our room was very clean & comfortable for a family of 5. The innkeepers were able to accommodate special requests for breakfast and they are very hospitable and welcoming! The B&B was originally a farm, so there is a lot of property to explore including a creek and 2 small ponds. I enjoyed sitting on the large porch while my kids ran around. Frosty hollow is a great get away for families or couples (my husband and I have been there alone several times)! We have been going there for over 11 years and we have enjoyed our stay each time!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Frosty Hollow B&B. Having stayed in dozens of B&Bs throughout the US & Europe, I have to say that this is, without a doubt, of the most pristine, comfortable, homey and relaxing locales I've ever stayed. The innkeepers are so friendly and welcoming, and they take a vested interest in the quality of your stay. You will want to stay for weeks. Trust me.

Very clean, family friendly place. Outstanding breakfast, with tasty food. I took the trip to Potter Cty mainly for their famous trout streams, and were not disappointed. However, my wife and two little kids didn't have a lot to do; luckily , they were happy to just hang out and relax at Frosty Hollow. The only negatives: when we left to see the PA Grand Canyon, the host insisted we follow her printed directions, which happened to contain a costly (20-30min of confusion) omission. Also, prior to getting there I had left two messages on their answering machine, yet none of the calls were returned. But don't despair, if you just make the reservation online, you won't be in for any ugly surprises. All in all, a good place to stay, and if I (we) ever end up in the area again, will once more check in at Frosty Hollow.

We recently stayed at the Frosty Hollow B & B. While it was not my favorite B & B it was certainly worth the price and MUCH better then the local hotels in the area. The rooms were small and clean. The rooms in the farmhouse show their age in their uneven floors that slope one direction or the other. Overall it was a nice stay.

My Husband and I spent three nights at Frosty Hollow in May of 2013. We choose it because it's close to Cherry Springs State Park in Pennsylvania. Frosty Hollow is much more than an anonymous room with a generic breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay. Notable: You are part of a semi-working farm. Lots of chickens, some fields of crops. They grow and raise a bunch of their own food. Varied landscape to take walks around the farm. Absolutely classic “babbling brook” outside the window of our room. They have rooms in a number of buildings. We stayed in the original farmhouse. Large screened-in porch. Common kitchen with utensils and fridge. Common living room with comfy furniture. Our own room was nice, with private bath. Breakfast was good. Lots of friendly conversation between guests, with Gail and Joe relating local stories old and new. All very friendly and informal. A relaxing environment with lots of outside activities in the area. When we go back to this area, we'll definitely stay in the same place. -Wei

Joe and Gail have a fine B&B in Potter County only 8 miles from Cherry Springs State Park where we attended a dark skies program on a May Saturday evening. Our room was very comfortable with fine furnishings and all the touches. The grounds are bordered by forest so we enjoyed sitting on the roomy porch doing some relaxing birding in the early evening. Joe and Gail were very gracious and provided a fine breakfast complete with country hospitality, conversation and stories in the relaxing group dining area. We highly recommend this B&B and would hope to stay there on any return trips to the area. Thanks, Joe and Gail.

This property continues to be a special place to relax and enjoy the country. The breakfasts are varied and delicious. The owners are gracious hosts who always make us so welcome.

My wife and I drove for hours on the way to Frosty Hollow just enjoying the mountains. When we arrived it was the perfect picture of a bed and breakfast. There was a main house and a barn and a small stream running through the meadow. When we went to sleep we opened the window and every time I woke up I could hear the brook outside and it was so peaceful. The next morning as we were going to breakfast we met another couple and had the privilege of sharing a meal and time with them. We would definitely recommend this place to all.

What a wonderful get-away spot. The peace and beauty of the hollow, the charm of the accommodations and warmth of the owners can not be surpassed.
5 on March 31, 2013
This is a nice place to stay just to get away for an evening. My only complaint is that we were not given an itemized receipt when we paid for our room. We were told how much we owed and that was it. I feel an itemized receipt should be required to show the room rate, taxes and other fees to be sure you are getting charged the correct price.

We had a pleasant stay and would go back again.
5 on March 13, 2013
Joe and Gail do a fantastic job! The atmosphere felt to me like going to a favorite relative's house to stay. Appropriately, although it was March, the hollow was frosty (downright snowy!) and the hot breakfast, fine accommodations and great conversation gave us a wonderful start to the day.

We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 young children (ages 2 and 6)....many bed and breakfasts do not allow children however, Gail and Joe were wonderful- Gail even made a special batch of french toast just to suit the kids! They allowed us to sled ride on their hill and the kids played in the snow around the property. We had a great time and plan on coming back during summer months to experience some of the warm weather activities!!

My wife and I and two other couples stayed here on a skiing weekend. The three rooms were large and comfortable. The food was great. We'll definately stay here again!!

My friend and I drove up to Cherry Springs hoping that the skies would clear up. Even though the weather was dreary, our stay at Frosty Hollow certainly wasn't. We stayed in the farmhouse and felt right at home. Breakfast in the barn was good, but what I really enjoyed was the conversations with the owner, Gail, and all the other guests. It's a pleasant place to meet interesting people on their own journey! Not to mention, affordable! We'll be coming back.

Was fantastic stay, though only one night. The only thing I wished for and they probably had but I was too shy to ask for it , was toast with butter. They had biscuits so I felt awkward to ask for toast. The cassarole and eggs were first rate!

Great one night get-a-way to Frosty Hollow. Do not take Route 44 in the winter, take Route 6.

My husband and I have stayed at many places in this area in the last 10 years. This is by far the best accomodations we have ever had. Our dog, Gracie, loved it there since she got to go on her first vacation with us. We are telling all of our friends about this wonderful place. My husband loved the homemade sticky buns. We will definitely be back next year. David and Karen Hamm

My sister and I spent our childhood vacations in the "shed" that used to be a cabin. Coming back after so many years to see how much things change and yet stay the same is very comforting. Despite getting my first speeding ticket ever (on RT 6) we loved our stay. The room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Looking forward to coming back many more times.

We went here for our 25th wedding anniversary. Could not have been more pleased. Gail and Joe are great hosts and they serve an outstanding breakfast. This is a quiet stress free area and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful overnight at Frosty Hollow. As we drove down the road to the property we knew we were in for a lovely night. From our check-in to our accommodations to the lovely breakfast the following morning we loved it. Would recommend it highly and will definitely stay there again!

Beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, private, reasonable, and wonderful food! I can't think of anything negative to say. I wish it was in an area that we travel to regularly - I would stay there every time!

After a full day of riding through the mountains on a cool rainy day, we were happy to check in and accept Gail's offer and park our bikes under shelter. She also gave us directions to a local restaurant where the food was great; our rooms were cozy (private bath and flat-screen TV!) and the full kitchen and comfortable leather seating was just what we needed. And the breakfast that Joe cooked, along with the morning conversation, was almost worth the price of admission by itself. I intend to return soon.
5 on October 02, 2012
We arrived after riding all day in light rain, to very nice rooms and even a place to tuck the bikes in out of the rain. Breakfast was great. I'll go back to ride some of the other twisty roads the hosts told us about.

Our one night stay was so amazing, nothing I have ever seen or experienced before. I was not sure we were B&B people, have never been to one before. The room was so comforting, the value was unequal to anything I have seen on the internet and the food was so yummy!! The best sticky buns!! Joe & Gail were so welcoming, we discussed bringing our boys up for a weekend and also considering running a trip for my entire family!! Will definately be back soon!!
5 on September 17, 2012
Our stay at Frosty Hollow B&B was outstanding! Such a laid back atmosphere. Quiet and tranquil, it's what every bed and breakfast should be! Joe and Gail definitely got it right. Also the breakfast that was served during our stay was simply put "incredible". We will definitely stay there again!

This is the place to stay if you want to get away from the city. Lovely surroundings, beautiful rooms and great food. Don't forget to buy some jam to take home! Staff is so friendly they make you feel like a part of the family. This is one place I hate to leave and come home from love the antiques and other decorations. Rooms are clean and tastefully decorated!

My wife and I were visiting Coudy for a wedding. We wanted a place that was close and reasonably priced. We could not ask for a better place to stay!!! Joe and Gail are great hosts, the B&B is so cute and comfortable. Did I mention breakfast??!! French toast, cream of wheat like you have never had and the best sticky buns ever!!! We stayed in the Loganberry Loft, this room was larger than my first apartment! It was very comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Great value in a great b&b.
5 on September 06, 2012
I wish we could buy gooseberry cottage, it was beautiful! I would like to return during each season (our visit was in August) and i was fabulous! I would strongly suggest visiting the grand canyon of PA.
5 on September 02, 2012
What a surprise we found at Frosty Hollow B&B in Sweden Valley PA. We were prepared for "rustic" but were pleasantly surprised to find comfort, class and a breakfast fit for a king. The grounds afforded a place to wander and the peace and quiet were a welcome amenity. The Gooseberry Cottage is adorable and we cannot wait to return.
5 on August 29, 2012
Joe & Gail are very hospitable, and our room was wonderful. Very clean, spacious, and welcoming. This was our second visit, and we definitely plan to go back. Words cannot describe how delicious the breakfast is. The homemade sticky buns are to die for. The property is breath taking and quiet. It makes for a very relaxing getaway. The only problem...it's very hard to leave!

My husband & I spent two nights here while in the area. We loved it! Gail & Joe are wonderful folks and go out of their way to ensure your comfort. We stayed in the Loganberry Suite and it provided everything we needed, plus it had a great deck for stargazing. Cherry Springs S.P. is a short drive and we went out to see the darkest skies anywhere around, with thousands of stars since it was a new moon. We also shopped in Wellsboro and visited PA Grand Canyon from Leonard Harrison S.P. It was nice to mosey on down to the dining area for a luscious buffet breakfast. Their Corgi, Maggie, is a wonderful hostess and followed us all around the property. She was adorable. We'd love to return when the leaves change as this is the perfect spot to enjoy nature's magnificence.

This is a charming place set back off the main road and inbetween some hills..the morning mist was awesome. The hosts were friendly and good cooks too. We stayed in the small cottage, a very private feeling for a b&b for us, which was nice. Thanks!

We went to Frosty Hollow to view the Perseid Meteor shower and we were not disappointed, Joe and Gail have a beautiful place, the grounds are fantastic if you are a bird and butterfly lover as we are. They have home grown flowers, vegetables and herbs. The best country breakfast ever, did I mention the chickens? Our boys had a blast. The Richardsons

We traveled to Frosty Hollow B&B as we were interested in attending the stars program at Cherry Springs State Park, wanted to do some biking, and wanted to see the PA Grand Canyon. This B&B was the perfect location and we did it all and then some. In addition, the home-cooked country breakfasts each morning were a great start to our busy (by choice) days. Great stay and would definitely recommend to others. Thank you to our gracious hosts!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Frosty Hollow. Aside from the fact that it was centrally located to suit our needs it was just the perfect place to wake up and end the day at. It was also child friendly which was extremely important to me. Our daughter absolutely loved the flower and gardens, the hill she could climb up and then roll down, the animals especially maggie and tornado. The grounds are just stunning! The cottage was so quaint and serene, with amenities such as a coffee maker ( plus tea and hot chocolate), hair dryer, iron, and ironing board, silverware, qtips, face wash pads, body wash... Joe and Gail were wonderful as was their niece who greet us our first day there. Breakfast was delicious and the home made chocolate chip cookies were to die for! We will go back again! Actually we are planning another trip next year just to stay there again.

During the summer of 2011 I stayed at Frosty Hollow with my girlfriend for a one night stay. It was such a great experience that when I found myself planning a trip that took me through PA again I made sure to include a stop-over at Frosty Hollow. The detour off I-80 is a beautiful and twisty road taking you up into the hills of Northern PA and once you arrive at Frosty Hollow and are greeted by Gail and the corgy, I'm sure that you'll agree that it is well worth the trip. Unfortunately it would take a better writer than myself to truly explain how much I enjoy staying at this Bed and Breakfast. Suffice it to say, there are beautiful views, chickens in the henhouse, wonderful rooms, and Gail and her husband are the best hosts that one could hope for. Thank you to both of you and I look forward to my next stay.

Rooms and rates cannot be beat! Got to bring the family dog and everyone had a great time. Breakfast was everything everyone raved it to be and Gail and Joe took time to speak to us about local attractions. Their property was beautiful and screened in porch was a nice retreat for sundown. I would definately recommend this to anyone looking for a place to get away for a few days.

This has been a family stay (Ayers old Homestead across the road) for many many years during hunting season with Taft and Jorgie Ayers... She used to fix a huge breakfast for all the hunters, so coming back here is a big of going back in time and nostalgic. Frosty Hollow is a great place to stay.. very friendly and a beautiful piece of property!

Frosty Hollow is a tranquil and lovely inn. The gardens and creative decor are beautiful and refreshingly unpretentious. Even though the inn was full, the entire property was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The food and hospitality were marvelous. The gift shop is fun with neat and unusual things very reasonably priced.
5 on July 11, 2012
The perfect stay. Clean, comfortable, a little piece of heaven. Breakfast was delicious.

This is the second year we have stayed at Gail and Joe's B&B. We and another couple use Frosty Hollow as our base for our annual visit to the Wine trails surrounding the Finger Lakes in NY. We have stayed in the cottage both times and it is not only beautifully decorated but cozy. While sitting on the porch in the evening we have been visited by a fox and deer. The cost is absolutely reasonable for the quality you get. Gail has a little "craft" store that has unique gift and decorating items. The most amazing part is Gail's breakfasts - they are to die for!!! Gail and Joe both are there in the mornings keeping things filled and it is fun and interesting to chat with them while eating. Can't wait to go back again. The Kelleys

I recently stayed at the Frosty Hollow B&B in the Loganberry Loft. The room was very clean and the decor was top notch. Joe & Gail are excellent host making sure that everyone is part of the "family". During breakfast all the quests were involved in a single conversation and I felt very confortable with my new friends.. The only downside is the bedroom section of the loganberry was too warm for my taste and could use better air circulation. Overall I rate the experience 8 out of 10. Jim C. 6-14-2012

It was a wonderful stay albeit too short. Every thing was spotless and wonderfully arranged. I sat on the deck and slowly filled up on the relaxing sounds and beautiful sunset over the hills. Breakfast was incredible, more than expected and very well done. And upon talking a bit, I was given a bit of great advice for riding my motorcyle on some of the most picturesque roads I've ever seen. I will be back to enjoy this again and for a longer stay. Thank you very much...Larry Wright

We experienced everything that makes a B&B outstanding. The outgoing friendly owners made us feel a part of the family. The breakfasts were outstanding traditional "farm style" and my gluten free needs were met each day. The atmosphere is so laid back and restful that we can't wait to have an excuse to go back.

My husband wanted to take a trip to the PA Grand Canyon and Cherry Springs State Park. We found ourselves staying at a beautiful piece of the world in the 'hollow' of Potter County, PA. The surrounding beauty can only be equaled by a stay at Frosty Hollow. We originally chose a room at a reasonable $72 a night and 'bumped up' to our very own cottage at $90. We had comfort, cleanliness, and a real-life masterpiece in the calm, quiet and relaxing place in north central PA. The buffet breakfast was great, with kind hosts Joe and Gail. Our stay was too short but gave us a thirst to return to our own little piece of heaven in God's Country (Potter County's slogan). This is a treat not to be missed!

We enjoyed our stay here very much! The cottage was awesome- great flat screen TV and nice bathroom amenities. The breakfast was outstanding and the price is so affordable! The only negative was that the screen on our door had a hole so we couldn't leave it open to get a breeze but otherwise things were great! We will definitely stay again.

I really do not know where to begin. Frosty Hollow Bed and Breakfast is the best B&B I have ever stayed at in my life. The hospitatally of the two owners, Joe and Gaily Ayers is what really makes this place nice. The homeade breakfast awaiting for you when you wake up is included also. The view, the peacefullness, and their standards are above the norm! Feel like you are at home with the cleaniness and warmness they provide on a daily basis. The stories and collectables are outstanding! If you havent stayed at Frosty Hollow please give them a try. You will only want to come back time and time again. That's a promise!

We stay here several times a year, and Joe and Gail always make us feel at home. Terrific breakfast, great secluded rural, setting and unique rooms. Each room is decorated with Gail's wonderful touch. The closest restaurant is about two miles away, and the town of Coudersport about six, so you do need to plan accordingly for meals.

Our stay at Frosty Hollow was wonderful. We had car trouble and they helped us try to jump it, looked up phone numbers to try to get service on the weekend, and offered to let us use their van to go out to eat in the evening. It could have been a difficult ordeal, but they did everything they could to lend us a hand. This was our second stay and we'll definitely be back :)

Myself, my wife, our two daughters (4 & 2), and our friend stayed here for two amazing nights. The owners, Gail and Joe, were super friendly and they cook some delicious breakfast. The night sky at this place is better then I have ever seen anywhere in my life!

Our stay was fantastic. Joe and Gail have a beautiful home and Inn. We stayed in Gooseberry Cottage and it was so peaceful, so quiet. Just what we needed to recharge. Breakfast was oustanding, some of the best we have encountered. Stuffed French Toast, Sausage and Potato casserole, Cinnamon Rolls, Oatmeal, Scrambled Eggs, Fresh fruit and yogurt. It was all so good. We over ate every day just trying to taste everything. Joe also makes great coffee. Just a great time.

We had a GREAT time for our first visit at Frosty Hollow. Gail's stuffed french toast is the best breakfast I've had anywhere! Really! I want to stay in the barnhouse next time but the farmhouse was delightful as well. Delightfully decorated and very clean. All in all, everything I had hoped for and more!

We have stayed at Frosty Hollow twice now and have enjoyed it so much. Joe and Gail are warm and friendly people who make you feel at home and welcome. The breakfast is always delicious. We have stayed in the Gooseberry Cottage both times and love the seclusion and homey feel. We highly recommend Frosty Hollow to anyone we have the opportunity to talk to about the area.

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable and very clean room, decorated with a country flavor. InnKeepers very friendly and good cooks.

A bucolic place and the B & B is an attraction in itself. You can roam around the farm which the Inkeepers strongly encourage you to do and explore the many excting things hidden in the farm. My husband and I are definitely coming back here in summer to explore more of the area. Breakfasts are something to look forward to. Mr. & Mrs. Ayers are very affable hosts.

We always love coming here. Joe and Gail are wonderful hosts and the food is delicious!!! We love the setting and the quiet comfort. It is great to be out on the screened porch of the farmhouse to sit and talk and well, just relax. It is always great to meet new people. Coming back again next year! Like a taste of heaven. The pictures of this place do not do it justice, everything was beautiful. Very cozy and just enough county to be nice but not over the top and tacky. The food was AMAZING! Best peach cobbler I've ever had! Joe and Gail were very sweet and made sure everythign was perfect. We felt very much at home here!

Frosty Hollow is a warm and very welcoming atmosphere. Everything on this property encourages slowing down and relaxation. I would highly recommend this b&b to anyone and everyone! Gail and Joel do a great job of making each guest feel welcomed and special.

This was our first stay at a B&B. It will be hard to beat. The large room was just amazing. We are so thankful they welcome children...our kids loved it here as well. Our children are 17,16,12 and 10. Breakfast was amazing too. Can't wait to go back. You can be confident that it will be a great choice for your stay....clean, quiet, friendly, great accomadations and a beautiful quaint location.
5 on September 21, 2011
The location, cottage, and innkeepers far exceeded our expectations for a B&B in the middle of nowhere! We wanted a quiet retreat for our anniversary and that's exactly what we got. The cottage is decorated very tastefully and it's very clean. Breakfast by Joe and Gail was a treat as was their banter with each other and the guests. We will definitely be coming back!
5 on September 16, 2011
Always a wonderful stay at the Frosty Hollow B & B. We've stayed in the barn several times, but now prefer the Gooseberry Cottage. Very comfortable for sure! Breakfasts are simply sweet pleasures with a variety of scrumptious food, coffee and orange juice, served by a smiling Joe and Gail Ayers.
4.6 on September 14, 2011
The breakfasts were delicious. The gift shop offered many items at reasonable prices - home made jams, mustard, pickled garlic and more. The grounds were kept beautifully and housed egg laying chickens and a very loveable Corgie. The Innkeepers were warm and sociable. My daughter and I will definitely return.

We have been going to Frosty Hollow for about 10 years now, we includes approximately 20 of us. We rent the whole barn for our family and we are treated just like family. Joe and Gail are very accommodating, have a wonderful establishment and the food is to die for. We love it, all 20 of us!

Frosty Hollow is cozy and charming and situated in an idyllic setting. We stayed in the Thimbleberry Room and were very comfortable, with any amenity we could wish including a full kitchen for the guests' use. Breakfast is served in an inviting dining room located in the old barn and furnished with rustic antiques. We keep kosher so could only have cold cereal and fresh fruit, but the special hot entrees of the day looked absolutely delicious. Gail was friendly and helpful in directing us to some of the local sites in which we were interested. The rates were extremely reasonable for a bed and breakfast. Hope we will get to stay at Frosty Hollow again sometime.

Frosty Hollow is a super bed and breakfast for those who want to get away and just relax. There is plenty to do if you love the outdoors, and if you want to just chill and relax the front porch of the farm house is awesome. We can't say enough about how well we were treated and the breakfasts are awesome. The cinnamon buns are sinfully delicious and it is hard to stop at one. Everything about Frosty Hollow was wonderful. Gail and Joe were so nice. This is a wonderful find and don't let the family friendly price fool you into thinking it isn't a good place to stay. This B & B is a piece of heaven on earth. Definitely hope to be back and have already recommended it to friends and family. They treat you like family, and that is priceless in today's busy world.

We were seeking a place in area where we could take walks in nearby parks. Except for bad weather our arrival day this place worked well for our purposes. The location is quiet. The frogs and muskrats at the frog pond can be viewed or listened too from a screened porch. Breakfasts vary each day so one doesn't get bored. We stayed two nights and could have stayed a third if we had planned for it.

3.2 on August 06, 2011
First the good points - Gail and Joe are congenial folks and they prepare nice breakfasts - the biscuits were fluffy, as fluffy as I have ever had, the sausage gravy (some folks call this sawmill gravy) was excellent with thick, tasty chunks of sausage, and they always had fresh fruit salad. The location is quiet and restful. The separate farmhouse has a refrigerator for storing your food or leftovers. The room was clean and fresh. Next the out of the ordinary points . . . The Mulberry Room, #8, upstairs had a ceiling of only 6' 8" - could be kind of claustophobic for some folks; its floor sloped with a gradient of inches from the wall to the door - enough so that you might feel like you were sliding out of the bed, this was more noticable for my wife and less so for me. The floor on the ground level is very uneven but covered with thick carpet that is cushioned well. An AC power wire cuts across one corner of the wall above the staircase leading upstairs - not sure this was to building code but it was out of the way. Finally, the not so good (but minor comments - to put in context, this is a very old farmhouse, so these comments should be viewed with that character and charm): The Mulberry Room, #8, had the following issues: the window AC unit is noisy; the shower knob and its operation is incomprehensible - all the way clockwise shuts if off, turning counter-clockwise causes hot water to stream until the midpoint where the water shuts off and then continuing to turn counter-clockwise causes cold water to stream . . . I think . . .; the sink did not drain very quickly. The stair rail and bannister leading upstairs was wobbly - not a big deal but slightly disconcerting. Another point not controlled by the Ayers - if you arrive in the area of Coudersport or Sweden, after about 8 or 8:30 in the evening, you will not find any place to eat. The restaurants close early. Overall, I would stay there again.

Frosty Hollow B&B in the beginning of June is a great place to stay. We were greeted warmly by innkeeper Gail. The accommodations in Gooseberry Cottage were cozy, comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. Breakfast, made fresh daily by innkeeper Joe, was delicious. Choices, which vary daily, included beverages, fresh fruit, bread items, and hot selections like breakfast pizza and filled french toast. We plan to return this fall to see the colorful leaves and enjoy another romantic get-away.

We booked the cottage for our accommodations for our godson's wedding in the area. In preparation for the wedding, we were in the area 3 weeks before, what a lovely place, we were happy with the outside. The inside was sweet, being private it had everything you would need. Breakfast was fabulous every morning. Joe and Gail are down to earth and make you feel welcome and comfortable. Because of limited accommodations in the area and a last minute cancellation, we were able to move out of the cottage and into the barn so the bride and groom could have the cottage for their honeymoon, it was no problem at all. The room in the barn was just as lovely!

My daughter and I stayed at Frosty Hollow B&B last week. The place is incredibly clean, neat and very inviting. You feel so much at home here. We stayed in the farm house, the "Cranberry Room" and it was perfect. In the evenings we played games in the living room. The kitchen has everything you need. Breakfast was out of this world. Joe gets up early and cooks the best breakfasts ever. The fruit, and eggs are fresh off of their "farm". This place gets an A+ from us.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights. In an area that is close to Coudersport. Nicest place to stay in the area. That being said, property could use some freshening up. Paint was peeling on ceiling, some mold in shower knob and vent in shower really needs a good cleaning. New towels needed as well. Breakfast was wonderful using many ingredients from the farm. We plan to stay here again when in the area.

Frosty Hollow B&B is situated on a beautiful farm and the porches provide ample space to sit, relax, and enjoy the view. My husband and I stopped there for a night and wish we would have stayed longer. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast (especially the sticky buns) was delicious.

My fiance and I first found the Frosty Hollow Bed and Breakfast last year when looking for places to stay around the Cherry Springs State Park. This area has the darkest skies east of the Mississippi which is a star gazers dream come true. Joe and Gail are both wonderful people and they run a great bed and breakfast, we stayed in the Loganberry Loft again which is very nice. There is a large deck which would have allowed great views of the stars had they co-operated. The suite consists of 2 rooms and a bathroom, the living room has a nice electric fireplace, television, refrigerator and pull out couch... the bedroom has a large queen sized bed with a quilt and nice sheet set. The bathroom has what you would expect including a full walk in shower. The room was very quaint and decorated very tastefully, last year there was a cat and a dog that would roam around the grounds and would come into your room if you let them (you aren't supposed to.. but they were both welcome guests in our room but don't tell LOL). The cat dissapeared around Christmas which was a HUGE dissapointment for me but you can't fault the innkeepers for a cat that ran away. This is a great place to get away from it all, I didn't eat the breakfast food because it is cooked on gas appliances (my own personal issue) but my fiance always raves how good everything is. Breakfast is never a simple fruit and cereal affair, this year the breakfast menu had stuffed french toast one day and eggs benedict the next and it is all cooked fresh right there. There is also fruit and strawberry yougart (which has to have an illegal drug in it because it leaves you craving more LOL). Overall it is a great place to stay and I plan to go back next year!!

Joe & Gail create a really special experience at the Frosty Hollow. I've never felt more at home at a B&B. They strike just the right balance between personal service and privacy. Our room was beautiful and the food was great. The only reason I didn't give top marks all around is because the room was clean, but not spotless, and it was a bit drafty when the wind picked up. In spite of that, it's a beautiful place in a beautiful setting, with wonderfully gracious hosts. Highly recommended.

Frosty Hollow is a delightful, charming, cozy B&B seven miles from Cherry Springs State Park, which boasts some of the best stargazing in the country. Our room was lovely -- a king bed and a separate room with two twin beds for the kids. It had all the amenities of home -- lots of fluffy towels, quilts, a hair dryer, shampoo, soaps and a flat screen TV within viewing distsance of the very comfortable bed. But the best part was breakfast. Gayle and Joe put on quite a spread -- breakfast pizza, coffee cake, fruit, granola and of course strong coffee to dispel the effects of a very early wake-up call, which was unfortunate because I would have liked to linger in their warm kitchen with friendly Ayers. Rates are also very affordable. I plan to return in the summer and stay several nights with my extended family. Kathleen Parrish

Gail and Joe were the bestest of hosts, filling our bellies with delicious food and entertaining us throughout our breakfast. The farm house was so inviting and had every detail attended to! Clean, a well-stocked kitchen, cozy, just like home (even better!) We loved everything about it and actually hated leaving. And, Gail's mercantile shop was a real pleasure, as well. We stayed in the Loganberry room. It was very big. Suite would be a good representations. There was a large lcd tv. Teas and coffees in the room. Very nice balconey. We were even greeted by Maggie and the friendly kitty the b and b mascots. The only short coming for me if there was any is the matress for myself wasn't comfy. Having said that I should say that I do sometimes have issues with matresses that are cushioned similiar to the pillow top style. My hips become sore. This may not be an issue for the average client. I can se myself returning this winter during a blizzard to watch the snow settle over the pleasant scenery.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful peaceful relaxing experience. The room we stayed in was huge and very comfy with a little kitchenette. The inn keepers were very nice people with a wonderful family and the fench toast that Gail made was splenderous. We experienced why it is called frosty hollow when we woke up and looked out the window and frost was all thru the hollow and across the mountains. We also enjoyed the stars at cherry springs state park and went in to town for food drinks and entertainment at Olgas(store, bar, cafe). Staying at the Frosty Hollow B & B was a wonderful experience.

This bed and breakfast has everything one could wish for. I have been staying there for years and look forward to going back every time. Gail and Joe are wonderful and gracious hosts. The surroundings are so tranquil and peaceful. I really cannot say enough good things. I usually stay in the Roseberry Loft and it has become my home away from home. I have stayed in a couple of the other rooms. They are all spotlessly clean and wonderfully decorated, although there was one room I found to be a bit small. The size was completely adequate and I may have only found it small because I am used to the spaciousness of the loft. I can wholeheartedly recommend The Frosty Hollow to anybody.

What a find! A pleasant B&B among Pennsylvania's Wilderness and Countryside. A pleasurable stay with wonderful accomodations, breakfast and friendly innkeepers.

We have been going to this B&B for many years now and we have never been disappointed with it. Joe and Gail are wonderful innkeepers. The breakfasts are originals and plentiful, enough to hold you through dinner. The location is a little bit off the beaten path but close to all the local destinations and definitively worth the detour. We will definitively return

Frosty Hollow was a great B&B. The rooms we stayed in,the Loganberry Loft & the Thimbleberry Room, were very spacious, clean & well appointed. The Loganberry Loft was especially nice having it's own entrance & deck with a living room. Joe & Gail were great hosts & cook a delicious, hearty breakfest. Gail has a wealth of knowledge of the local area.

My wife and me go riding ATV's in this area at least once a year. This year most rooms at local motels have been taken by gas contruction crews. So after seaching the internet I found Frosty Hollow B&B. The pictures looked good and the price was reasonable. We never stayed at a B&B so we figured we give it a try. It is said pictures never lie....but they did. It was so much better than the pictures! This place would be hard to describe....there was something interesting and unique everywhere. It was as comfortable as being home. Our hosts Gail and Joe made you feel truly welcome. The breakfast was delisious and different every day with some very interesting dishes. If there's room...this is where we'll stay.

We have just returned from a week of staying in B & B's and Frosty Hollow was one of the best. The Thimbleberry room in the farmhouse was pretty, clean and very comfortable, with added touches to make our stay enjoyable. The sitting room and deck outside provided plenty of space to relax in the evenings and the kitchen facilities were very useful. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was good and varied. The area is beautiful and quiet and we would highly recommend Frosty Hollow Bed and Breakfast as the perfect place for a relaxing retreat at a very reasonable price.

We were on a weekend tour of Pennsylvania Wilds. Our stay at Frosty Hollow was outstanding. It was very pleasant and peaceful. Joe and Gail are great people and enjoyed talking with them during our stay. Given the chance we will stay again.

On our visit from Canada, absolutely outstanding in every way. Clean, friendly service and the breakfast was great. One of the best B&B's we have stayed at. Thank you Joe and Gail. Certainly will return in the future.

A group of hot and hungry cyclists arrived at Frosty Hollow to be greeted with and cold beer and appetizers. Great hospitality and a terrific breakfast.

We stayed at Frosty Hollow simply because it was in the right location for our overnight stay as we traveled to the east coast - and we're sure glad we did. In fact, we booked a room on our return trip! The B&B and surrounding grounds are gorgeous, Joe and Gail are extremely friendly, the breakfast was outstanding (ask for the stuffed french toast), the rooms are clean - Frosty Hollow will be our regular stop when we travel through central Pennsylvania in the future.

We have come to this area for many years on business with the local hospital. When our usual motel wasn't available, we decided to stay with Gail and Joe. We stayed in the Gooseberry cottage, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Very laid back, it felt like a 'home away from home'. Unique decorating touches and very clean. Cell phone service was skimpy - but ya know you can live without it for a night!

We where looking for a place to stay that would give us easy access to Cherry Springs SP and other sites in the area. Frosty Hollow is just a short drive from the park and Gail gave us all sorts of easy driving instructions to other wonderful sites to see during the day. The room we choose this time was clean, comfortable and just right for our wants and needs. I know next time I am going to check out the adorable cottage if possible though. The breakfast was all you could eat and so tasteful. A great group of people to talk to and share thoughts where there too. Gail and Joe make you feel like family and want to come back again and again. I have already recommended this place to all my friends.
