My B&B in Carlisle, PA

5 on December 18, 2014

This is a adorable, historic B&B just outside of Carlisle, PA! Everything about my stay was exceptional - the room, amenities, friendliness of the owners all the way to a custom-cooked breakfast. Wow! Really can't wait until I'm in the area again and can stay over - it's that nice...

Kit (and Rehab) were very friendly and accommodating during our stay. The B & B itself is beautiful and immaculate. It was a wonderful break for us and we will be returning.

We loved Pheasant Field B & B. It was comfortable and charming. They treated us like we were family and it felt like we were at home. The breakfasts were out of this world. The property was so beautiful. We loved every minute of our time there and will definitely be planing a trip so we can return to stay again.

Beautiful Setting, adorable home, relaxing stay

4.4 on September 24, 2014

We were warmly welcomes by the owner and his quiet but friendly and courteous dog when we arrived, and were given A+ treatment as we settled in for the evening. Breakfast was simply amazing, and the owners were courteous, respectful, and helpful in every way we needed. The room we stayed in was cozy but spacious. We chose a room for its affordability, and though it didn't have the best view in the house, it was a fine view, allowing plenty of sunlight in when desired. We would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend this B&B!

Beautiful B&B with Excellent Service! :)

I always have my dog (a Doberman) with me, I'm typically looking for a pet-friendly hotel. While some are quite nice, they are hotels, and traveling dogs like to bark at every single noise. I found Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast on and decided to check them out. We arrived on Sunday, August 31st; the Innkeeper, Robin, came out to greet us, offer help, and show us to our room. He made sure to get my dog's and my mom's name, and showed me the room. We stayed in the Pet-sylvania room (one of three pet-friendly rooms). Adorable room, with microwave, coffee maker, dishware and cutlery, even a dog bowl! All very nice, antique furnishings. Heat/air controllable in the room. A spacious bathroom well-stocked with their custom toiletries, extras in the bathroom cabinet so we didn't have to ask. The spacious dog walking area was right outside of our room. They also own two acres across the street with walking trails, a fountain, and a Labyrinth. Well away from high traffic areas, it is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. We left the window open at night to hear the crickets (I love them) and frogs. Up early the next morning for breakfast, I was greeted at the door by Rehab, their mixed lab. A wonderful dog, he stayed with me through breakfast, leaning against my leg while I pet him part of the time and then laying at my feet while I ate. The main house is beautiful, and I believe about 200 years old. It was originally part of the Underground Railroad. Kit, the other Innkeeper, had made fresh orange-cranberry scones. Dusted with powdered sugar, an excellent way to start with a glass of fresh orange juice. Then came a zucchini-potato frittata with tomatoes and a poached egg (fresh this morning from their chickens!), and bacon. Coffee and toast were also available. I HIGHLY recommend Pheasant Field B&B!!!! If you are traveling with horses, they also board horses for your stay. A beautiful inn, out in the peaceful countryside!! :)

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your wonderful review and we are very happy you enjoyed your stay with us! We try our best to cater to all our guests, and make it a good stay for pets too. It's a pleasure to serve breakfast - our happy chickens provide us especially delicious eggs to go with our home grown vegetables! We look forward to your next visit.
