We stayed at King's Manor while we were having some work done on our house. It was absolutely wonderful and we loved our time there. It is a beautiful house and the breakfast was delicious. Roberta is so kind and thoughtful. It was such a and relaxing stay. We can't wait to stay again.
We stayed here for a few days to visit family. If you have never stayed at a Bed and breakfast and would like to see what they are like you could not pick a better place. It is decorated in a lovely . but not overwhelming, Victorian style. The area is a quiet part of town and if you enjoy walking/running/cycling it is exceptionally near a lovely part of the Cross Seminole Trail. Breakfast here is truly an experience as the inn keeper is an amazing cook. Henry, their lovely Bichon Frisé, is a great example of the breed and always up for a nice walk or a game of fetch. Overall the best place to stray in Oviedo, by far.
My daughter and I drove up to Kings Manor and couldn't believe our luck in finding this wonderful Bed & Breakfast. There is no other lodging in Oviedo and I'm so glad there isn't or we may never have had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful Inn. From the time we drove we were so thrilled with what we saw, beautiful grounds, lovely home, the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a bed and breakfast and I've stayed in many all over the country. If you are ever in this part of Florida, do not miss staying at the Kings Manor.
I had been working really, really hard and came down with the flu. Right after I got over the flu, I went to Oviedo to visit family for Thanksgiving and stayed at King's Manor. It was exactly what I needed! I felt like the Queen of England, they treated me so well. The food was fabulous, the environment peaceful, the rooms comfortable and the place was just charming. This is one of the places on my list for when I want to "treat" myself now. Love it, love it, love it!!! Ayn, Memphis
We almost passed up King's Manor; it appears very small & ordinary from the road. It is, in fact, small but not the least ordinary...pleasingly old-fashioned & thoughtfully furnished. Innkeepers McQueen are gracious & helpful. To-die-for blueberry pancakes were served by Roberta, accompanied by her 5 or 6 year old ballerina/granddaughter who gave a brief & delightful performance complete with curtsy, making our stay even more memorable. Yes, we will visit there again for another royal treat!
Roberta and Paul host your stay at their beautiful B&B in a gorgeous old Florida setting. From the swaying tree moss, picket fence, and porch swing, to the beautiful and extremely comfortable rooms, we wanted to stay longer than our 8 days here. Roberta is a gourmet cook, the food always different each day. Roberta's husband Paul always smiling and helping. We could not have asked for more!
My husband and I have made three visits here on our last three anniversaries. This B&B is tucked away in Oviedo, and by the time you leave, you'll feel as if you've been in "old Florida", even if it has been only one night. We love the setting, it's fun staying in this old house, and the breakfast is superb! There's free wireless internet, too!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in the Madam Alison's room which was located on the first floor. The room's decor was white, and it was so cute and clean! A very comfortable, cozy, and relaxingly-styled, there was a queen canopy bed with little lights that made it much more endearing than tacky; there were random white antiques stationed around the room. The bathroom had a little cabinet of towels, and a dish of their English soaps and shampoo - smelled wonderful! This room does not have the hot tub, which was a bit disappointing, but it did have a walk-in shower for two. There was a parlor chair by the window, and it's a great place to lie around and read some of the magazines that were in the rack. Oviedo is known for chickens, so if you're lucky, you can hear a rooster clucking away either in the morning or throughout the day. This B&B was unbelievably cute and quaint; Roberta, the host, was gracious. Her mother, I believe, was the chef, and the food was neatly presented and just solid. I loved Lord Henry, who is the house's Bichon Frise, and he loved to sit next to me while dining. Give him a pet - he loves the attention! You can find the cat, lying around in the day sun. We were both pleasantly surprised to find such a quaint place in Florida (with very reasonable prices; you also get a discount if it's your anniversary!) - I highly recommend it if you're ever in the Orlando area!
THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH A B&B...THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL. THE SERVICE GIVEN BY THE OWNERS IS SECOND TO NONE. LOVELY HOME, FABULOUS FOOD, THE BREAKFAST WAS FIT FOR ROYALTY. I WOULD DEFINETLY GO BACK THERE AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE THAT PLANS TO VISIT OVIEDO.
We have stayed at Kings Manor three times and are looking forward to another visit shortly. Roberta and Paul are wonderful hosts and treat their guests like royalty. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfasts are to die for. So much food and wonderfully prepared and served. One needs to take a walk on the beautiful trail nearby after eating even the small breakfast. Kings Manor is certainly a place everyone who travels to Orlando should experience.
At the end of March my wife & I rounded off a week bed & breakfasting through Florida with a 2 night stay at King's Manor. We are from the UK & were unsure what American B & B's would be like.We have been very pleasantly surprised!. We booked over the internet & I have to say the photos don't do the place justice.Paul & Roberta's home is beautiful & the guest rooms are huge! The house is full of antique furniture & decor & we felt very lucky to have found it.It is in a quietarea ,yet only 45 minutes from Orlando's attractions. Roberta's breakfasts were wonderful & too much for even me & that is unheard of! all in all a fabulous place that we would return to & We heartily recommend it!Dan & Shirley Burton
