Shaker Hill B&B is a lovingly updated 1790's colonial home set on 24 acres in the Upper Valley of New England. The original wide board floors set off the charm of each of the four bedrooms. George Reynolds built this house in 1892 and it remained in his family until 1995 when it was first transformed into a local Bed and Breakfast. Don and Terry O'Donnell purchased the house in October of 2002 and are dedicated to keeping the house close to its original construction. While enjoying your stay you will notice that most of the house has the original moldings, windows and pocket doors all specifically constructed or crafted for the house. The Canterbury House is located in the picturesque Village of Woodstock, Vermont. Inspired by the impressive concentration and continuity of late 18th an 19th century architecture, National Geographic Magazine called the village one of the most beautiful in America. The home we invite you into is an 1880 Victorian townhouse that has been completely restored to offer modern comfort combined with historic authenticity. Standards for historic preservation have been followed in renovating The Canterbury House for use as a tourist home. The house is furnished with Period antiques, but is not a museum set piece. It is our intention that it reflect fine craftsmanship and beautiful surroundings combined with the warmth and hospitality reminiscent of a family homecoming.

The Henry Whipple House was built in 1904 for Mr. Henry Chandler Whipple, President of Dodge Davis Woolen Mills and a well respected businessman in Bristol during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Today's Whipple House is one of but a few New England Queen Anne-style homes that retains its original structure from a century ago. The house is typical of the Victorian era in its architecture, oak woodwork, hardwood floors, chandeliers, bronze fireplaces and stained glass. It is the hope of the Whipple House's owners that the charm and hospitality of this era are reflected in your stay.
