Inn Details
Three acres of lush grounds and 460 feet of river frontage highlight the historic (circa 1929) McKenzie River Inn B&B and Cabins in Vida, Oregon. Meander along trails that lead to hammocks, benches and picnic areas. Stay in a romantic suite or a guest bedroom on the second floor of the inn with a Jacuzzi tub. Spacious and private, the cabins offer a variety of accommodations that may include decks, whirlpool tubs and full kitchens. Breakfast caters to specialties such as vegetarian and allergy-free diets with delicious and satisfying dishes sure to please everyone. Many recipes include fresh fruit from the orchard. Ask about guided fly-fishing and rafting trips.

My family just spent another fantastic week at McKenzie River Inn. Bert, Hubertina and Ellie accommodate our large family and make every aspect of our stay enjoyable. We have three generations of family looking forward to this vacation every other year - even the dogs love it! From the delicious breakfasts (and several food allergies to consider), our bocci ball tournaments and badminton games, loud card games at night, quiet time for reading and relaxing by the beautiful McKenzie River and of course a white water rafting trip with Bert, there is something for all of us to enjoy. It is a pleasure to migrate back to the McKenzie River Inn year after year!
It's mostly about the view.

The Osprey Cottage was quaint, if a bit worn and funky (for the price). The view from the deck and riverside was lovely and relaxing. The proprieters were friendly, and breakfast was healthy and tasty. We were a bit surprised by some of the items not available - if we planned to stay there in the future, we would know to bring our own corkscrew, and briquets and lighter fluid for the BBQ.

The Proprietor was very health conscious, dietary considerations and proportion sizes. She accommodated my class schedule, which was very much appreciated. It was a great setting for me.
