The Fulton House is conveniently located in southwest Portland, one block from beautiful Willamette Park on the Willamette River and the magnificent Willamette Waterfront Greenway. Our house, built in the late 19th century, was originally a floating bordello; around 1910, it was placed on logs and hauled to its present location by teams of horses.
Wine Cellar Suite Bedroom attached private great room with private bath and fireplace. Approximately 800 sq ft.
Blue Heron Room: Queen Bed, two-room private bath just out your door with claw foot soaking tub/shower, Armoire, mirrored closet and private veranda for sipping a glass of wine.
Enjoy listening to the waterfall and stream while sipping wine in our backyard.
The Futon House's common area for afternoon lounging or just quietly reading a book from our extensive library or just sit by the fireplace.
The Wine Cellar suite's great room with gas fireplace, TV with all premium channels, bistro table and private entry. Plus the sectional opens into a queen size bed for two additional guests if you wish. Each guest is an additional $25. Or just relax on the sofa and enjoy you evening after a long day doing business in Portland or sight seeing.

Fulton House was outstanding! I shared the Wine Cellar room with a friend for a week. Both beds were very comfortable. The rooms were pleasantly decorated, clean and spacious and a wonderful back garden patio for sitting and reading. The breakfasts were wonderful, Wendy and the rest of the staff were always friendly and helpful with an enormous amount of knowledge and assistance about Portland, itself and the whole area. The location is great - on two bus lines if you don't have a car, and near Willamette Park, for a morning run. There are a number of really nice low-key restaurants in the neighborhood. PS Wendy's chocolate chip cookies are really good.

Breakfast was always deliciously prepared by Wendy, our host. Despite the warmer than usual temps our room was comfortable and sleeping wasn't a problem. Can't wait to return to PDX and stay at the Fulton House again. Thanks Wendy (and Justin) for everything!!!

Outstanding B & B! We were there for 3 nights in the downstairs wine cellar suite, with cozy fireplace, and a huge entertainment room. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom bright and clean, and the breakfasts over the top delicious! Wendy is a delightful hostess and chef as well as a great source of information about Portland. I highly recommend Fulton House!

Amazing & such personalized care & attention to every detail. My room opened onto an outside porch that was surrounded in trees! I also enjoyed finding all the antiques, books, and memorabilia (tucked even inside the cabinets) to be discovered at my your leisure. Elaborate and delicious breakfasts. If I could change one thing about my stay, it would be I'd stay longer!!!!

Hostess, Wendy, was informative and instrumental to our enjoyment of the area. the house is outside of the city bustle, but close enough to all attractions. the breakfasts were remarkable and a gourmet delight, using local berries.

Driving Directions: Going North on I-5: From I-5 going north take Corbett Avenue Exit 298. Turn right on SW Corbett Avenue, turn left on Nebraska Street-proceed to the stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign, which is SW Virginia Avenue. Continue south on Virginia Avenue for 5 blocks. We are located on the corner of Texas Street and Virginia Avenue. Going South on I-5: From Interstate 5 going south take the Oregon 43/Lake Oswego Exit 299A. Move to the right lane after exiting the freeway and go straight. Keep right at the fork/curve and continue on Macadam Avenue. Stay in the right hand lane and turn right on to Nevada Street. Continue up Nevada for one block to a stop sign. Turn right on to Virginia Avenue. We are located on the corner of Texas Street & Virginia Avenue, one block from Nevada Street(the third house down on the right hand side of the street).
