A Painted Lady Inn is Portlands newest addition in affordable Bed and Breakfast accomodation. A welcoming double parlour entry with fireplace and the dining room have been beautifully appointed for our guests enjoyment and each room of the house features at least one original work of art. The feel is cozy, yet opulent with a eclectic mix of patterns, textures, and amazing detail. Large guest rooms have new queen size beds, air condioning and comfortable sitting areas. The longer you stay the more you'll appreciate the three years of work that went into the total restoration of this Irvington gem.

A Painted Lady is a beautiful house located in a quiet neighborhood near trains and bus lines. The owner is a charming host who is knowledgable about Portland.

I was so pleased to find a vacancy at this charming fully restored 1890 Victoria Farmhouse. The home was sparkling clean and furnishings were lovely, authentic for this time period. I could easily close my eyes and imagine this home at the turn of the century surrounded by farmlands instead of Lloyd Center. Interesting businesses, shops, restaurants, neighborhoods that are some of the the oldest in the city. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to future stays when visiting family in Portland.

Owner and Innkeeper Jodi went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. She provided early breakfasts to accommodate our east coast schedule and wedding activities

Great stay again at this timeless and elegant home in Irvington. Stayed this time in the Den with New mattress that was quite firm. Full bathroom just steps down hallway. Breakfast was good with Mini Pancakes and fruit. We love the area for Dining, Petisco and Milo's right around the corner on Broadway, along with a new frozen yogurt shop, also got a massage at M.E. Massage!! Jody and Josh will take great care of you all. Enjoy your stay!!!

My stay was an interesting experience to say the least. I was looking forward to my arrival as I entered the city limits of Portland. The owner had personally contacted me on my cell as I was running late due to insane Portlandia traffic (which if you have not experienced lately is true gridlock) and was flexible in letting me check in when I arrived. This was sweet of the owner to care about my arrival and help me navigate into the NW area. I love the location, in northwest Portland. There were 2 bathrooms, one upstairs one downstairs. This was by far the biggest challenge of this B&B for me. The upstairs bathroom (which was closest to my room) was in serious disrepair: the shower door did not close at all since the latch was mismatched, there was no toilet paper roll holder so TP rolls were laying on the toilet, and shower temps varied from warm to scolding to cold. If anything, bathrooms MUST be functional but here at this B&B, this was a serious problem to me. This made me feel like the owner was totally skimping on maintenance. Bathrooms tend to really expose owners who just don't care, and this was no exception. Big fail. The Breakfast part of the B&B was barely average at best. For the time I spent there, all I had were quiches, one with spinach, one with asparagus. Coffee was a nice french press which the owner provided and was fresh every cup. Juice and water were provided as well. Place settings were clean and neat. But with regards to the morning meals, there was absolutely no variety. And for those who have gluten or dairy sensitivities or intolerance you would have been out of luck, and no alternative was offered, even at check-in (to give the owner time to prepare). I was better off finding a breakfast dive nearby, actually. So overall if location is paramount above anything else, this is the B&B for you. I just cannot recommend it. If the owner is not serious about bathroom upkeep then it is time for that owner to move on.

We've been here before. It's a nice location if you are visiting people 'east'.

Completely enjoyed my stay at A Painted Lady. The hostess, Jody, was available to answer questions, give directions and created a welcoming feeling. Centrally located to a lot of great things - shopping, restaurants, etc. - and great for walking.
