Pendleton House is a grand reminder that the Old West had it's share of wealth and worldly sophistication. A one of a kind French neoclassical and Italian styles home. Pendleton House is a rarity among B&Bs: It still has it's original Chinese wallpaper, custom woodwork, and the orginal fixtures are everywhere. The five guest rooms range from the Gwendolyn Room, with French doors, a fireplace, and semi-private balcony, to the Maids Room a snug accommodation with antiques.

We stayed at the Pendleton B&B with a Groupon. The house is a beautiful, historic piece of Pendleton and has been maintained in exquisite condition. Marijo is a wonderful hostess and breakfast chef! The rooms are well appointed with period furniture and Marijo provides the background on the wonderful house. Thanks for sharing it, Marijo!

Everyone there was absolutely wonderful. Very kind and outgoing, we were made to feel welcome. The breakfasts were exquisite, and we missed the B&B before we were even out of town for the drive home!
4.4 out of 5Exceptional Hospitality
September 06, 2012
This is a gracious turn-of-the-century home, nicely decorated and very well kept. The location is a bustling town, convenient to destinations in Eastern OR and Wa. Where it really shines is the hospitality: Everyone was gracious and charming, wanting us to have a great time. Oh -- and the breakfasts were awesome!

During the first week of July this year I had the wonderful opportunity of staying with a friend at this Bed and Breakfast while recovering from plastic surgery. I could not have chosen a more delightful place to recover and the entire experience continues to linger like a wonderful dream .The rooms are airy and tastefully decorated in my case with a half bathroom. Marijo has a sweet gentility to her personality and demonstrated care and attention to detail such as icepacks throughout my recovery. She admitted she had checked in on several occasions to assure my needs were met. Her partners furthermore are entertaining with great senses of humour and helpful in terms of offering suggestions for activites and local restaraunts. The food is exquisite with excellent presentation. Marijoes maple bacon with real maple syrup is to die for. The entire ambience is one of a southern plantation smack dab in the middle of oregon. In the evenings we would sit on the veranda basking in the cool breezes visiting with the other guests like people of a long gone era. It is an absolute expectation to return to visit Marijo, her partners, Tracy and Kevin next year and last but certainly not least Summer, the dog. This place upon leaving felt like family good byes complete with Summer whining and barking when we left. This place and these people are without a doubt the only hotel/bed and breakfast that I have stayed in my travels that left you with a gut renching feeling of leaving precious family.

4.8 out of 5A Great Place to Stay
May 29, 2012
This bed and breakfast really encapsulates the phrase, "A home away from home." The hostess, Marijo, invites her guests to take part in making her house a comfortable, relaxing venue. My wife and I came here for our anniversary, and we enjoyed every minute of being here. Marijo was one of the friendliest hostesses we have stayed with. She recommended her favorite places in Pendleton, and was very interested in making sure we enjoyed our stay. She offered to make reservations for us at a local restaurant both nights as well. Each night at the house, white or red wine was offered as well as a time to chat with the other guests. The breakfast in the morning consisted of Greek yogurt parfaits, delectable egg dishes (such as a phyllo-wrapped egg and potato loaf topped with parmasean cheese), and a bread (such as homemade scones topped with homemade lemon curd). The quality was superb. The room was very comfortable and pretty spacious. Our room came with two robes provided so we didn't have to pack our clothes to the shared bathroom. The bathroom is a sight to be seen. A vintage 1918 European shower awaits all the guests. I have never seen a shower such as this. A traditional shower head hangs from the top of the shower and rains down on you. All the while, you can turn on the spray function and have tubes that surround the inside of the shower spray tiny water jets at you as well. This was the most fun shower experience I have ever had. The house is also close to downtown and the river walk. My wife and I parked our car at the house and were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. It has a great, central location. Overall, we plan on coming back. The quality of service, the relaxing atmosphere, and the central location (as well as the amazing shower) combine to make a very pleasant experience.
