We stayed in the Doug Fir room and it was beautiful. Mt. Hood filled our windows and the miles of orchards are breath taking. It's hard to choose one thing we liked the best about our room and the hospitality during our stay but my husband insists the breakfasts were his favorite part of our visit. This B&B is definitely a great deal. Shu & Art

The Chinook Room was so lovely and had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to spend my birthday! Breakfast in the morning was over the top. Just delish!! Mary and Steve and Tillie made our stay very comfortable and one night was not enough to fully enjoy the area or the Inn.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Old Parkdale Inn. Mary and Steve were gracious hosts and the breakfasts were wonderful. The accomadations were very comfortable and the grounds well maintained. There was lots to do in the area and my wife Martha and I had a memorable visit. We hope to go back soon. If you plan a visit make sure you say hi to Tillie for us.

We discovered The Old Parkdale Inn last year and when asked where I wanted to go for my 75th birthday, this was my choice. Two nights in the cozy Meadowlark Room and two mornings of wonderful breakfast. Couldn't ask for nicer Inn Keepers, Mary, Steve friendly, knowledgeable of area and welcoming. Tilly, their dog, always ready for a tummy scratch. If looking for a place to stay when in the Hood River area, you will find no better. We will return.

One of the best B&B's we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. We stayed for 3 nights and did day trips everyday with lots to see and do within driving distance of the Inn.Mary was helpful with itinerary planning and let us use her well worn copy of things to do in the area. The breakfasts were gourmet quality and were presented beautifully. Made me want to take a picture. Saw Mt. Hood from the window each day and enjoyed the inn grounds and the walk into town. Very nice stay.

This B& B is a wonderful place, with marvelous grounds and a veiw of Mt. Hood. Mary, is a delightful hostess, friendly and full of good information about the surrounding area and sites to see. She cooks the most delicious brekafasts we have ever had. Yum yum. The suite was comfy and cute. We highly recommend this B&B.

You can't really fault it, but our room was a bit cramped for the price we were paying. Other than that, absolutely perfect. A birders paradise, with none stop feeding in the garden

I have some food allergies (wheat/dairy) and the breakfasts she made were just perfect! It's not every day I get a fresh blueberry muffin fresh out of the oven for breakfast. The room was perfect, and Tilly the Dog the friendliest guest-greeter I've ever met. Will definitely stay there again.

Arrived for a quiet "honeymoon" stay to celebrate 35 years of marriage. We were kindly greeted by our hostess and introduced to the property. Beautiful yard and gardens with lovely pond in back. We spent many hours relaxing by the pond, doing some bird-watching. Comfortable bed with beautiful linens surrounded by a full suite we felt spoiled. This home is beautifully restored/remodeled and decorated. Enjoyed every minute and looking forward to our next stay at this fabulous B&B.

This wonderful B & B has a gorgeous view of Mt. Hood. The hospitality of the inn keeper, Mary and her dog Tillie, is very inviting! Mary has a lot of knowledge of the area and had great ideas for us to explore the mountain and gorge. I would highly recommend this place!

Spent 2 nights here in June 2012. Mary is a superb hostess! Rooms was excellent and the bed so comfortable we didn't want to get up. We would have had a delightful view of Mt Hood but the mountain chose to stay in the clouds for 4 days. Bummer.
5 on June 06, 2012
The Inn is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Oregon. The bay window on the second floor offers an excellent view of Mt. Hood and the room and bed were very comfortable. (I recommend putting the room names on the door.) Mary is a gracious host and makes sure your stay will be enjoyable.

Mary was delightful. This was our first experience in a B & B. We were a bit nervous about the experience but we were quickly comforted and made to feel right at home. The B &B was in a wonderful spot with views of the valley and mountains, what more can you ask for. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable. The overall experience was amazing and we cannot wait to return.

Quaint, sweet, lovely home with amazing views. Our room was spacious, spotless and very nice - comfy bed. The "hearty Northwest" breakfast was not what I expected, perhaps advertising it differently would be appropriate. Overall, I'm thrilled to have found this great get-a-way spot and would certainly return again. Host/Hostess were really good people and do a great job with the place!

A nice, small (3 room) B&B in the beautiful Hood River Valley. The town, and this B&B is charming, the rooms well appointed with bathrooms in every room. Everything was both clean, and at the same time warmly comforting as if we were in a "home away from home". The staff was also welcoming and helpful for suggestions on activities in and around town.

My boyfriend and I just stayed at the OPI last week and found it to be a perfect slice of tranquility. Mary was so knowledgeable and helped us find good restaurants and outdoor adventures. Her breakfasts were delicious and there was always fresh coffee. Her dog, Tilly, was so sweet and well behaved. We will certainly go back!

We booked this trip through living social and thought we'd give a B&B a try. We were not disappointed. This place was far beyond our expectations: delicious breakfast, amazing innkeepers, fun themed rooms, hot make your own beverages 24 hours a day, local gifts and wine for purchase...we just left and have already booked a return trip.

I had never stayed in a B&B until I got a deal on Living Social. I bought the package and now I can say that I'm probably hooked if the places to stay are as great as the Old Parkdale Inn! We had a knowledgeable local that was friendly, warm and helped us get to the places we wanted to go. If you're in the area of Parkdale, OR I recommend you stay here!

This was our second time staying at the Old Parkdale Inn. We stayed in the O'Keeffe suite, which has a beautiful view out to Mt. Hood. Mary was at a conference during our stay, but she stayed in good email contact with us leading up to our stay, and her innkeeper, K.C., took excellent care of us. The breakfast was generous and delicious, and we enjoyed chatting with K.C. and Steve, and we had a chance to visit with Tilly, the friendly house dog. K.C. went out of her way to make some phone calles and help us locate a place nearby to rent snowshoes. The room we stayed in was pleasant, and we had plenty of room for our family of three. (I would however have liked a better choice of pillows as they were all for me a bit flat.) It was nice to have so many little amenities available for us in the room: tea in the kitchenette, toiletries in the bathroom. We were also very taken with the kitchen expansion and renovation, which Steve pointed out to us. The dining room is very light and roomy, nice view out to the yard, where the birds flock to the feeders. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely house with us!

We love the OPI. This visit was our 4th one and the familiar feeling as a returning guest was very special. Hospitality at OPI is a specialty; it never runs out. The town has a new restaurant down the street form the inn so that makes eating close by very convenient. All together a great deal with Hood River so close.

The property was older than it appeared on the website. Some of the interesting decor in our room had been removed. It was adequately clean, but could use a really good deep cleaning. The bed was wonderful; very comfortable. The food was excellent, but wish they would offer fresh coffee all day long. The owners were very knowledgeable and very eager to help in any way they could. If you're heading up to ski, it would be a great place to stay, There's an amazing view of Mt. Hood right across the street as well. :)

We had such a wonderful time at the Old Parkdale Inn. Our room was beautiful and clean. Great bed! We slept like rocks. It was a little ways out off of the Fruit Loop and downtown Hood River but we liked the feeling of being in the county. Great BBQ place just a short walk away too.

A group of good friends met up at the Old Parkdale Inn for a couples getaway. We had a great time! We rented all 3 rooms and really took advantage of the beautiful garden and yard. Lounging on the Adirondack chairs, sipping local wine. It really doesn't get any better. Except when you have a cozy fire and a few more bottles of wine, then roll out of the most comfortable bed in the most beautiful room to eat a truly gourmet breakfast. This place is a little slice of heaven. My friends and I are hard working and don't get to have many getaways like this. Mary really took care of us at the Old Parkdale Inn and made us feel like royalty. Were already planning next years retreat! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a night of beauty and relaxation.

Mary is WARM & WONDERFUL, as are her breakfasts. The home was clean and very pleasant (travel guides, and witty books laying about). This was a great value at $150 per night. However, this is not a luxury B&B, the sheets (t-shirt flannel feel)and furniture are good/average. The mattress was very comfortable (we slept well).

We had a wonderful one night stay here. The house was beautifully decorated and immaculate. The grounds in summer were filled with flowers and a fountain and just a beautiful country setting. Mary was a delight and we felt right "at home" with her and her dog Tillie. Location was just what we wanted.. close to the town of Hood River/wineries/Mt Hood but quiet and away from the crowds. We would recommend this B&B to anyone who asks for a perfect night away. Joan & John Freeport, Ny

We spent three nights at the Old Parkdale Inn. Our room was quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed. The town was sweet... just one or two places to eat and a grocery store... walkable. Very conveniently located at the base of Mt Hood with all sorts of fantastic sites 15-45 minutes away. And the view of Mt Hood is spectacular. Oh... and the breakfast?!?! I think we gained 5 pounds... fresh, amazing and more than plentiful. Mary is a huge help and provides great conversation.

The Old Parkdale Inn is a charming place to find out in the Hood River valley. Our inn sitter, Sandy, made us feel right at home. It turns out we had met her before so it was fun to renew our friendship and share b&b stories. Our room,The Gaugin, was clean and cute. Teapot in the room so I could cozy up in bed and look out to the countryside and sip my tea in the morning. Breakfast was a delicious and plentiful treat of Dutch baby oven pancake and sausage. The living area of the house was beautifully decorated in an up to date country style with plenty of places to sit and relax if you aren't out exploring the country, skiing around Mt.Hood or at the town of Hood River. Parkdale itself it a cute little country town you can explore on foot from the Inn. No place to eat in town but Hood River is only a few minutes away and has many great restaurants. We're coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Parkdale. Mary, Steve and Tilly were wonderful hosts providing both pleasant conversation and delicious eats. Rooms were spacious and comfy. We had a good day snowboarding on the mountain (until I tweaked my shoulder) and a great dinner in Hood River with friends who also stayed at the Inn. It was a great NYE! Richard Mary/Steve, thanks for sharing your home with us and hope you have a great time in New Zealand!

Great spot for visiting Mount Hood - high enough that you do get some snow, but not so high that you're in the thick of the storms (and conveniently halfway between the mountain and the town of Hood River). Be aware that this is not your lace-and-claw-foot-bathtubs kind of B&B...the best way I can describe it is that it's like staying at a friend's house. But we loved it!

We (hubby and me; my girls and me; friends and me) love staying at The Old Parkdale Inn! It's a perfect location for either a stay and relax retreat, or for driving the famous Hood River Fruit Loop, enjoying the natural beauty and tasting the fabulous wines along the way. There's great dining in Hood River or at Cooper Spur, located up the mountain from Parkdale. The hospitality of Parkdale Inn innkeeper, Mary Pellegrini keeps us coming back time after time!

This was our first time at a B&B and will not be our last. Mary Pellegrini could not have been any nicer to us. We stayed in the Georgia O'Keefe room. The room came with a mini kitchen, cold drinks, a loveseat and flat screen TV. Plus tons of other little things that made it just like home. And right outside our window was a beautiful view of Mt. I haven't written a review in the past, but I felt you would like to know more about this B&B. The hostess and owner, Mary, is a very sweet lady, who makes you feel right at home. There are many curios that give you that feel of home, yet treat you to the rich heritage of both Parkdale and this beatiful Inn. The room was very neat, clean and interesting. The separate shower/bath, fine linens, modern appliances, and neatly arranged special conveniences were a treat. The breakfast was delicious and unique. The mountain air and scenery along with the small town atmosphere all made for a wonderful night's lodging for my wife and me, as we celebrated our neice's wedding. My only challenge was that we had to hurry off, due to our schedule. I would have loved to stay here for another couple nights. You'll love this place. Thank you, Mary To the Mountains, PDA

From the friendly greeting by Mary and Tilly to the comfortable, home-like rooms with luxurious bedding and toiletries to the most magnificent view of Mt. One of our best B&B experiences.

The Inn was one delightful surprise after another. Our room was adorable, with a very nice bottle of wine graciously provided. Night life is scarce in Parkdale so we were delighted to discover an eclectic assortment of videos and games in the loft [and enjoyed a little known old Clint Eastwood film I stumbled upon]. Breakfast was glorious. Mary and Steve were wonderful company, too, throughout our stay. I'll remember the irresistible outdoor appeal, too. No matter which direction I turned, I was transfixed. There was a wonderful garden I didn't even get a chance to sit in because I kept trying different sections of the large, inviting, old-fashioned porch. From the front, I had a dazzling view of Mt. Hood. Along the side, I was mesmerized by a variety of birds visiting the many well-stocked feeders. I stayed outside savoring the scenes until it was too dark to see anything else. We're not hikers so it turned out that Parkdale wasn't an ideal spot for us, but our time at the Old Parkdale Inn left us just delighted that we'd landed there for 24 hours.

We spent my birthday weekend at the Old Parkdale Inn and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. Our room was wonderful, like being in a treehouse. Mary made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was great. There is a lot to do in the area. We will be back when the blueberries are ripe.

We spent in June an absolutely wonderful 2 nights in the O'Keefe suite made possible by Ms. Mary and her husband Steve with loving contribution by the squirrel hunting 4 legged member of the household, Tilly. After visiting the fruit farms and the areas wineries we always looked forward to returning to the inn. While sipping on a local pinot provided in your room by Mary you could easily do a quick load of laundry or take a short stroll through the town and come back to a most charming garden and enjoy freshly baked brownies by the outdoor fire. What a great touch. Coffee is brewing much earlier than we could get up but Mary is downstairs hard at work baking and ready to serve her guests ready with good conversation and any information on visiting the areas attractions. Even if we didn't need to be in the Mt. Hood area we would still make the journey to the Old Parkdale Inn and spend the night and enjoy the welcome and hospitality of Mary and of course with the added squirrel security of Tilly.

Jimm and I had two wonderful nights hosted by Mary at the Old Parkdale Inn. The rooms were delightfully decorated, the food was exceptional, and the view of Mount Hood was truly awesome. Mary was a wealth of knowledge about the local area and could provide input and directions regardless of whether you are a ski bum (like us), you were interested in local art, wildflowers, or wines in the region. We will definitely return. We felt so relaxed and revitalized after just a few days in this wonderful inn!

We stayed for our birthday weekend in April 2009 and had an amazing time. Mary the innkeeper is hospital, warm and inviting. The O'Keefe suite was perfect and charming. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fruit, baked apple pasteries, polenta...very catered to our vegetarian lifestyle. We also enjoyed the fondue upon arrival. We weren't disappointed by anything on our escape. The mountain view from the inn is incredible for out of towners and native oregonians (as we are) alike. Definitely stay here if you want a relaxing personalized trip.

Very lovley coulple. And so nice. They made sure that we had everything that we needed and even offered to dry our wet boots from the snow! Now that is something you would never get from staying at a major hotel. And the breakfast was wonderful!
