1.4 out of 5Awful food, mildewed room, ripoff -- don't go
July 29, 2010
The food was so bad it was inedible. They rave about their "gourmet" breakfasts. Cold hash browns sculpted beautifully on the plate are still not edible. Canned peaches sprinkled with nutmeg do not equal spiced peaches. And greasy sausages on which you can taste the kerosene at least saved me the calories I would have wasted eating them. The room, while lovely, smelled like mildew. All in all, a giant ripoff.
Innkeeper Response
It is unfortunate that this guest did not let us know of her concerns during her stay. We pride ourselves not only for our service and warm hospitality, but also our breakfasts. We continue to improve our breakfasts, so we will certainly look at this one to address her issues. We always ask that guests express any concerns or issues during their stay to please let us know, so we can correct it right away. This couple did not show any signs of a challenge nor communicated anything to us so this review is very unexpected. They were smiling and friendly from the moment we greeted them at their car, during the wine tasting, as they left for dinner, at coffee in the morning, and as they checked out. They expressed such joy with their stay that we asked them to post online about their experience. We will continue to check for what was considered a bad smell. As you can expect with a vineyard on site, we abhor mildew. Given that there are not traces of an odor since her stay we can only guess that she might have picked up any number of aromas from plants, flowers, or the surrounding landscape.5 out of 5A must on your Oregon Trip

What a wonderful find on our Oregon Trip. From being greated as we pulled up in the car to a personal winetasting with the winemaker we were treated as if we were VIP's the whole time. Nicolette the owner was clearly loving her life and it showed in everything from the vineyard, the amazing wines, and the well kept and relaxing Inn. I will be back!

This is the ultimate B&B experience. The Inn is maintained with such high standards. The rooms are so comfortable, the view is spectacular, the food tasty, and the wine well worth the trip to the vineyard and a stay at the Inn. We will definitely return time and time again.

What isn’t there to love about this place? The View! The Inn! The Wine! It is all here if you’re lucky enough to get a reservation. There are only 7 rooms but we only saw the other guest at breakfast and felt like the whole place was ours for the night. The owner and staff made you feel so welcome and made sure you were set up for the day with touring information and places to stop along the way. After two days of touring wines of other vineyards our decision was to ship a case of Youngberg Hill Pinot Noir back home. It was SO good!

4.8 out of 5Great Inn, Wine & View- Dont miss it!
April 28, 2008
Our group stayed at Youngberg Hill in March or 08 taking the whole house. We were traveling for the wine region but all agreed that is location was what made our stay so special. The owner, Nicolete, made us feel so welcome and made sure we had every aspect of our Oregon trip planned. Becky, the Innkeeper, took great care with each and every one of us. We traveled all around Oregon that week but the wine at Youngberg Hill was among the best we had. The photos don’t come close to how beautiful a setting it truly is. We really felt like we were family when we left. All we think about now is when can we return to our new home, Youngberg Hill.

4.0 out of 5WOW!
March 18, 2008
This is a place to get away from the crazy world and reconnect in an unpretentious way. You are welcomed from your drive with a great glass of estate wine and a warm meaningful welcome. From there we were helped getting settled, planning our stay, and getting our barring. Then we were left alone to walk this magnificent estate and enjoy what we all wish we could call our own. And for a while it felt like it was. The farm dogs walked with us as if to be our tour guides while we watched all the hard work going on around us to maintain a vineyard with quality and pride. We will be back for another getaway and great wine.
5 out of 5A Great Choice!
March 01, 2007
When I looked at all the hotels, Inns, & Bed & breakfasts there was no better choice then Youngberg Hill. You will not be disappointed. It’s like taking a step out of the crazy reality of the hustle and bustle of life and being reminded what beauty really is. Nicolette was warm and SO helpful with directing us to the many wonderful local wineries. Janine made an unbelievable wonderful breakfast. Great Choice, dont miss it!
