Coast Inn Bed and Breakfast

  • Inn Details

Welcome to Coast Inn B&B. We're located in the historic Taft heights section of Lincoln City near Highway 101. Siletz Bay is a short walk, as is public beach access. Lincoln City's 7 ½ miles of pristine, level beach beckons to you. Glass floats hidden on the beach may be your reward for a day spent beachcombing. Sea lions and whales abound in the ocean surf. Our 4000 square foot Craftsman-style home, built in 1939, has been upgraded with improvements in every room. Stunning art quilts provide color and pattern throughout the home. The innkeeper is from Alaska, her art reflects a life lived in the splendor of the outdoors. Special rates are available for booking the entire house for small conferences or retreats of up to twelve people. Join us between 4 and 6 pm for smoked salmon, wine and cheese, lemonade and fresh-baked cookies. Our light, airy rooms are complete with luxury beds, private baths, down comforters and plush robes. The ocean surf will lull you to sleep. Relax in the sunroom; board games are available. WiFi is installed. Each guestroom has a journal for writing down coastal experiences. The library includes many books on creative writing and a selection of contemporary poetry. Healthy gourmet hot breakfast, which may include a fresh fruit platter, Peach Puff, Green Eggs & Ham, Oregon Marionberry Scones, Blueberry Coffeecake, fresh ground gourmet coffee and two juices; is served 8-9 a.m. With a 2-3 night visit you may learn the basics of glass fusing in the studio, creating glass coasters to take home.

We visited in December 2011 for my wife's birthday weekend. The Great Room was indeed Great, not only the expansive views including some ocean, but the art and the relaxing ambiance of just being there. Breakfasts were delicious and innovatively prepared. Rosie was happy to accommodate my wife's dietary restrictions. The room was very comfortable and large for a 1-bedroom, with the same great view as the great room. Rosie toured us through the whole house and all of the rooms were uniquely decorated, giving them individual appeal. Her fused glass and quilts were incorporated into her interior design beautifully. Quiet location in Lincoln City, close to ocean & downtown. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

What's not to like, except the limited amount of time I got to spend there? The quaint rooms were not only clean but uniquely decorated and cheery-just like the rest of the house. Absolutely beautiful view of the ocean in the morning. Devine breakfasts every morning and Rose couldn't be a better hostess. A few minutes walk from the ocean front, games and books to look at, a cozy fireplace to cuddle up in front of and a big screen TV to watch a romantic movie. Talk about a no stress, relaxing getaway- just what the doctor ordered. :)

Best B and B we've ever stayed in and we've stayed in quite a few coast to coast. View and closeness of the Pacific wonderful. It was an artistic wonderland - innkeeper is a quilter and fused glass artist. and rooms were filled with her art and very colorful. Innkeeper has a heart of gold and was so good to us. We hated to leave.

The Coastal Inn B&B provided exceptional service and was very relaxing. The common room with a family room atmosphere (with a view to the Pacific Ocean in the distance) was quite pleasant and relaxing. The Coastal Inn is within easy access to the ocean beaches, allowing casual access while other members of your party either sleep in or engage in other activities. The family room provides separation space and allows for independent activities. We played scrabble (Coastal Inn provided), but there are other games and even a guitar and piano for the guests to use. This was a very relaxing time for us and Rosie was a joy to visit with. Her krafts are outstanding and the decor of the B&B reflected Rosie's eye for fine decorations.

Nice hostess, friendly and informative, home in residential neighborhood with occluded view of ocean. A bit pricy.
