Once a loving name the family used for the large estate, Bora da boasts a King, four-poster bed, two comfy chairs, and other fine antiques, a black/white toile decor and the largest private bathroom in the mansion--complete with a beautiful period antique brass tub and a separate shower. In Welch, "Bora da" means beautiful dawn. The windows in this room overlook the waterfall, upper pond, and gardens.
Period Eastlake furnishings grace this room. The room takes its name from Mary McCaskey, who lived as the mistress of the estate for over 50 years, and from the gold color pallete in the room. The sumtuous queen bed and the period furnishings make this room a guest favorite. Marigold offers glimpes of the patio and pool, the formal flower, vegetable, and herb gardens and the Table Rock hills beyond.
This lovely and elegantly furnished room takes its name from the original owners of the Orchard Mansion. The room has TWO SINGLE BEDS made of tiger maple. The bedroom has a private bathroom, with its antique brass claw-footed tub. Both room and bath offer breathtaking and commanding views of the front pasture and the entire Rogue Valley, with the peaks of Mt. McLaughlin and Roxyann in the distance. The bright decor of the room makes it a fine choice for two people sharing a room.
Named for the second owners of the mansion, the McCaskey Room boasts majestic views of the Rogue Valley and the front pasture. The views can be admired from the room or by opening period French doors, which lead to the expansive deck adjoining the room. On the balcony you can enjoy the glorious sunrise each morning or relax after a busy day sightseeing. The decor of the room includes a jacuzzi tub, a grand scale mahogony, King four-poster bed and two wing chairs that invite you to curl up by the fireplace and read a great book. The room is a perfect choice for honeymoons and anniversaries!
The butler at the old Mansion never lived in a room quite this luxurious! The Butler's Retreat offers guests a third floor getway in the treetops with expansive views of the Rogue Valley from a cozy window seat and views of The Willows gardens, ponds and waterfalls off a Juliet balcony. The masculine decor of the room includes hunting trophies, a leather topped desk, a queen sleigh bed, and private sitting area with a full-sized sofa bed for an extra person ($25).
Formerly two rooms, Maggie's Attic was named for one of the house maids who lived on the third floor in the early 1900's. This lovely room has a private bath with European faucets and a beautiful Queen four-poster bed. The views to the East are of the valley from a cozy window seat, and the Table Rocks to the North.

We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality during our stay at the Willows. The grounds are fantastic and the brekfasts were absolutely amazing. Lounging by the poolside was a treat and the proximity to Jacksonville and Ashland made this spot ideal. I will definitely be staying here again.

My husband and I had the great fortune of finding The Willows B&B on this website. From the moment of our early arrival we were met with graciousness and accommodation. The home is both architecturally and aesthetically beautiful. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, nicely appointed and offered lovely views of property from several windows. As lovely as this house is, Joe and Sandy Dowling are what make it an inviting home. Sandy is a trained chef and applies her trade with attention to the freshest ingredients, perfect mingling of flavors, beautiful presentation and desire to meet the personal requests of her guests. Joe and Sandy are very knowledgeable about Southern Oregon and are wealths of information on just about anything you might need to know to make your visit wonderful. This truly is a special place that I look forward to visiting again.

The Willows ranks at the top of my list. The park-like grounds, stately old elm trees, a beautifully restored 100 year old mansion with beautiful period pieces and accessories. All the amenities, fabulous breakfast, close to many wineries, in a gorgeous part of OR.

One if the nicest places I have ever stayed. My wife and I stayed in the McCaskey Room for our honeymoon. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. From our wandering it looked to be the nicest room in the house. The only improvement I would have liked would be a small fridge in the room or even in a common area, thought upon request the main fridge was made available to us. The breakfasts were outstanding. Sandy and Joe were both very warm and generous. Sandy is full of stories, and enjoys finding ways to make us more comfortable, such as bringing a bit of watermelon out by the pool for us on a hot day. Joe does a wonderful job taking care of the grounds and they are beautiful. The pool is very nice and relaxing. We have already talked about going back.
