My husband and I were driving from Napa to Seattle as part of our engagment trip in May 2011. We didnt know when we would arrive in oregon or stop driving for the overnight visit. We found this cute little B&B on our way. Michael, the innkeeper, was exceedingly accomodating, and stayed up very late waiting for our evening arrival. He had hot tea ready for us as well as a plethora of snack selections and wine. The room we stayed in was cozy with an attached bathroom. It was exactly what we needed. We scarfed the hot and tasty breakfast in the morning before our departure. Bathrooms had nice touches. Nice towels & amenities. Very grateful for the warm welcome. Hope to return sometime soon. Initial response was not good as the outside was very shabby and in need of attention. However, we had very warm welcome from Michael, with glass of wine waiting and told to help our selves to wine and snacks in the kitchen at anytime. Inside was elegant, clean and not at all neglected, and the outside was soon forgotton! We stayed in the Rose Room - not exactly an ocean view, but it was as the website photo showed. Bathroom across the hall had everything we needed, robes provided. We took advice on somewhere to eat - Art Alley Grill, just a short walk away - and we were not disappointed, especially the pianist! Next day we went on a recommended trip up Oregon the coast and lunch at the Port Hole Cafe in Gold Beach (table with a view!). Weather was windy and chilly, but the roccky coastline just beautiful. We would recommend this place to our friends.

Our family rented every bed in the place for four nights; 14 of us were treated to delicious breakfast every morning, and there was plenty for second helpings. Fresh ground coffee and even decaf were ready very early and the hosts treated us like their family.

Michael is a friendly, helpful and gracious host. The accomodations are very nice and well located. There may be an ocean view, but all we could see was fog. As a negative, the breakfast was tasty and well presented, but there was not much of it.

Clean home, delicious breakfast, beautiful landscaping, pleasant owners. Brookings is a nice jumping off point for the Southern Oregon coast & Northern Cal redwoods.
