Very nice place. The rooms are very nicely appointed, furnished, and provisioned. The Lowdens are super friendly and helpful, and at the same time organized and clear to make arrangements with. The view from the rooms is just terrific--waves and beach and sea stacks and trees along a stretch of coast, the river in the foreground flowing into the sea, driftwood abundant here and there, not to mention the constant sound of the surf coming in the sliding-glass door. Easy access to a great beach for a terrific stroll along the sand.

If you're after a quiet visually pleasing vacation, then it has to be Lowden's B&B. Nestled above the beach just passed the California border into Oregon, Lowden's is a wonderful jewel in the ocean rough. Gary and Barbara made this a trip to remember, their location and atmosphere made this B&B and the beach access the perfect place to propose to my girlfriend. Thank you both for making this visit one to remember!

I was ready for a vacation and I can tell you that the 6 days I spent here were just what I needed. Who could ask for anything more: great suite, the beach at you doorstep, incredible views and great service. The Lowdens treated me as though I was family. I stayed here for a night, and was very impressed with the property, its location, and the warm hospitality of my hosts! My room was very large (separate bedroom and living area) and comfortably furnished. The location is great (I could have literally jumped off the deck into the ocean!). Breakfast was not a "typical B&B breakfast that's served in the kitchen," but rather, was left in my room the previous night. I thought this was actually a nice change so I could set my own schedule in the morning and check out as early as I needed to. Barbara was very welcoming and offered some great local insights on where to eat, what the community is like, etc. Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone traveling along the Oregon coast!

It was exactly what we wanted: a private suite with beach access and a beautiful view of the ocean as well as the Winchuck River. We wanted a B&B that didn't share a common area, and this was the place for us. We kept our privacy but yet enjoyed meeting and conversing with our hosts when we happened to meet. The southwest exposure kept the wind off the deck and allowed us to sit outside in comfort and bask in the warm sunshine. The beach had sandy areas as well as access to tidal pools. There were no antiques or "themed" rooms but we didn't need them. The Lowdens provided a wonderful warm weekend getaway: it was just the ticket!

We really enjoyed our stay with the Lowden's. The room was comfortably furnished, and was bigger than I expected. The VIEW is amazing! A river meets the ocean right outside the window, so we saw many birds in the estuary area. There was even a pair on binoculars in the room! The Lowden's B&B is perfect for anything from a romantic getaway to a family vacation. We highly recommend them and would surely return.

One of the most beautiful views on the Oregon Coast. You've got the Winchuck River and a secluded sandy beach/ocean at your doorstep. Rooms are nice and have widescreen TV's, DVD player, and free WiFi. Room rates were excellent, especially for an ocean front room. There were many fun things to do in the area such as hiking/sightseeing the Redwood forests, tidepooling, and eating at the local seafood restaurants. Overall, Lowden's Beachfront Bed and Breakfast was a great place to stay and comes highly recommended.
