As you enter the cute detached cottage, there is a small sticker claiming that Brightwood has been named "One of the Best Places to Kiss in the Northwest", and it's nothing but the truth! Bonnie and Jeff have created a cozy, romantic and relaxing getaway with all the comforts of home. I regret that we only spent one night here, as we left so refreshed and full of delicious food! Close to Mt. Hood and Portland, it's a great getaway for couples or a small family looking for some time away!

My husband and I came to Bonnie & Jeff's bed and breakfast in serious need of a relaxing retreat, and we got more pampering and relaxation that we could have hoped for! The many special extras that are included on top of the private cabin B&B experience--1st class soaking tubs, pre-built fire in the outdoor fire pit, basket-of-s'mores fixings, STOCKED cupboards, feather bed mattress, etc., can make even the most stressed, over-worked couple find romance and relaxation!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible "private residence" guesthouse. The lodgings are kept in meticulous order, the owners provide everything you need far beyond the normal B&B, and the hot tubs have to be experienced as words cannot discribe the peaceful relaxing feeling we were left with after a long soak. What an incredibly romantic getaway. Like nothing we have found at any other B&B. Sid and Janie from South Carolina

Very private, cozy, and clean. Bonnie and Jeff make you feel like a friend right from the beginning to the end. The breakfast is wonderful, the outdoor wood tubs are blissful, and the guest house is very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked with everything you would need. We even got some wonderful brownies the first night we got there which were super tasty. We headed up skiing the night we left and Jeff was kind enough to let us borrow some tire chains. It's like having your own friends on the mountain - very nice couple. We plan on coming back!

This B&B offers a quiet and private location with delicious breakfasts delivered to the cabin. The owners use high quality ingredients to prepare a unique breakfast feast to start your day. The cabin is very cozy, with an open concept living and dining area. The living area has a cathedral ceiling and contains the stairs to the comfortable but small sleeping loft above. On warm days, the backyard has a very welcoming seating area. For history buffs, the Oregon Trail goes right through the backyard. Mt Hood is nearby, with skiing and hiking. The historical Timberline lodge is worth walking through, and is also a fine place to eat. There are nice walking trails within a short drive of the cabin. The Rendezvous Grill & Tap Room is also nearby, and offers excellent lunch or dinner choices, including fresh fish. The Thai restaurant in Sandy is worth the trip, and what it lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for in food quality. It is worth staying for a week just for the chance to get some of Bonnie's chocolate cake.
